Abstract

Abstract

Ergonomic conditions at the Outpatient Registration Centre (TPPRJ) of RSUD dr. Gondo Suwarno are inadequate, which causes officers to experience musculoskeletal complaints due to inappropriate work postures. This study aims to evaluate ergonomic aspects at TPPRJ using the Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) method to assess officer work postures. The research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and anthropometric measurements. The results showed that work facilities, such as desks, chairs, as well as the position of monitors and other devices, did not match the officer's body dimensions, which resulted in a ROSA score of 9, indicating a high risk of musculoskeletal disorders. These findings highlight the importance of adjusting work facilities according to ergonomic standards and training in correct posture to improve officer comfort and health, thereby supporting improved quality of health services at TPPRJ.

Abstract

Abstract

The incidence of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) among adolescents in Semarang City increased from 242 cases in 2021 to 344 in 2022, highlighting a pressing need for effective preventive interventions. Peer education through Youth Health Cadres (KKR) is a promising strategy to address this issue. This community service program aimed to evaluate the impact of an educational intervention on DM-related knowledge among prospective KKRs at SMPN 12 Banyumanik. The program involved 20 students and was conducted through a single session comprising a pre-test, an interactive educational module on DM etiology and prevention, practical training, and a post-test. Knowledge was measured using a validated 20-item questionnaire. The results demonstrated the proportion of students achieving a 'good' knowledge level increased from 15% to 85%. In conclusion, the targeted educational intervention successfully enhanced the knowledge of Youth Health Cadres. This empowerment provides a critical foundation for their role as agents of change in disseminating DM prevention information within their school environment, contributing to broader public health efforts against the disease.

Abstract

In Indonesia, healthcare facilities have been mandated to adopt Electronic Medical Records (EMR) by 2023. The possession of knowledge and motivation by health workers was identified as a pivotal factor in the successful implementation of EMRs. The aim of this study is to identify the level of knowledge and motivation of health workers with regard to the implementation of EMRs. This is a descriptive and quantitative study that used a cross-sectional study approach. The respondents comprised 39 health workers at Puskesmas Demak II who were administered a questionnaire to ascertain their level of knowledge and motivation regarding EMR implementation. The findings indicated that health workers at Puskesmas Demak II exhibited a commendable level of knowledge (74.4%) regarding EMR, yet their motivation to implement it was found to be suboptimal (51.3%). The Health Office has conducted socialisation of EMR implementation, but Puskesmas are not yet fully prepared in terms of human resources, information system management, budget, internet network infrastructure, and technology. It is the responsibility of the government to ensure the provision of adequate training and technical assistance.
