Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the cultural potential and challenges of preserving the intangible cultural heritage and living culture of Cimande Tourism Village to enhance its development as a sustainable tourism destination. Research Methodology: A qualitative approach was used, with data collected through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and in-depth interviews involving cultural practitioners, POKDARWIS (tourism committees), local residents, and government officials. Results: The study identified nine key cultural elements, including Pencak Silat, traditional medicine, and local rituals, while highlighting 11 major challenges, including insufficient stakeholder support, low community participation, limited human resource capacity, and minimal use of digital marketing. Limitations: This study focuses on cultural preservation efforts, specifically in Cimande Tourism Village, using qualitative methods such as thematic analysis and CAQDAS NVivo, limiting its scope. Contribution: This study deepens the understanding of how local culture can promote sustainable tourism, particularly in rural areas rich in cultural traditions such as Cimande. These findings provide valuable insights for tourism village managers and local governments to balance cultural preservation with economic growth through tourism. Novelty: This study offers a comprehensive exploration of the integration of local culture with sustainable tourism development in Cimande Village, an area that has not been extensively studied.

Abstract

Background. Inclusive tourism emphasizes equal access for all individuals, including people with disabilities, to participate in tourism activities, including international music concerts fully. Aims. This study aims to analyze the role of promoters in implementing inclusivity in organizing Coldplay concerts in Jakarta and Singapore. Methods. The study was conducted at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium and the National Stadium between November 2023 and January 2024, using a qualitative approach through observation and interviews. It was analyzed using the SWOT method to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The results show that PK Entertainment in Jakarta and Live Nation Singapore both play strategic roles in translating Coldplay's commitment to inclusivity into the concert experience. Conclusion. Jakarta has the strength of a large fan base and promoter credibility. Still, it faces infrastructure limitations and low awareness of inclusivity, while Singapore excels in infrastructure readiness and inclusive service standards despite facing high operational costs and public expectations. Implementation. These findings emphasize the importance of collaboration between promoters, venue managers, the government, and inclusive communities to realize music concerts as a form of sustainable inclusive tourism.

Abstract

This study examines how transformational leadership, work motivation, and cohesion influence employee performance in Indonesian Islamic banking institutions. Using survey data from 320 employees at seven Islamic banks and analyzed using PLS-SEM, the results indicate that work motivation and transformational leadership do not directly affect employee performance. However, transformational leadership significantly increases cohesion, which in turn has a strong positive influence on performance. Mediation analysis confirms that cohesion fully mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of collective mechanisms in explaining performance in Sharia-compliant organizations and offer practical insights for Islamic banking leaders.
