Abstract

Handmade is the process of making product objects that are processed by hand. The handmade business is identified with the label of high creativity, so it has a sale value and is in great demand by consumers. The results of this craft are limited and original, so lovers of anti-mainstream products will prefer the work of the handmade business. This study aims to analyze the effect of family-based educational programs on family behavior and increase in financial resources with handmade production from batik cloth waste. The design used in this study was a pre-experimental design, namely the one group pre-post test design. The sample in this study was taken on a probability/random basis using the cluster random sampling technique. The analysis was carried out using univariate and bivariate methods

Abstract

Kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk memenuhi kewajiban dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat atau kewajiban dalam Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi juga merupakan kepedulian akademisi kepada masyarakat untuk turut serta dalam pembangunan ekonomi keluarga sebagai fundamental pembangunan dalam perekonomian bangsa. Pendekatan metodologi yang digunakan dengan pendekatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan kepada pelaku industri membuat handmade dari limbah kain batik yang mempunyai nilai estetika, yang dapat dijual untuk meningkatkan pendapatan keuangan keluarga. Kegiatan ini diharapkan agar masyarakat memperoleh tambahan ilmu dalam keterampilan mengelola limbah kain batik menjadi produk melalui simulasi pembuatan berbagai hasil karya yang kreatif dan inovatif dan dapat terus dikembangkan. Kerajinan tangan atau handmade dinamakan pula sebagai seni kriya, dapat diartikan sebagai seni kerajinan tangan manusia yang diciptakan dalam upaya memenuhi kebutuhan kehidupan sehari-hari dengan tidak melupakan pertimbangan artistik dan seni serta keindahan. Produk yang telah dihasilkan biasanya limited edition dan sangat terbatas, oleh karena itu untuk meningkatkan produksinya juga dibantu oleh beberapa alat mesin sebagai sarana pendukung. Penumpukan limbah kain pada saat ini dapat menjadi ancaman serius bagi lingkungan, sehingga diperlukan kesadaran bagi masyarakat untuk mengubah sifat konsumtif dalam berbusana Begitupula pemerintah juga harus mendesain ulang bentuk model industri ekonomi tekstil agar menjadi ramah lingkungan. Di dalam dunia industri limbah bahan tekstil serta dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai produk yang memiliki daya saing ekonomis dan memiliki daya estetik. Limbah kain batik dapat dimanfaatkan untuk berbagai macam produk handmade melalui kreativitas dan kemauan yang tinggi sehingga dapat meningkatkan sumber keuangan pada masyarakat. Misalkan berupa tas, sandal, keranjang pakaian dan lain sebagainya. Sebagaimana uraian diatas maka diperlukan pendampingan kepada masyarakat yang bersedia menjadi responden/pelaku industri untuk menumbuhkan daya kreativitasnya dalam kegiatan “pengelolaan limbah kain batik sebagai handmade yang dilaksanakan di wilayah Kelurahan Jember Lor Kecamatan Patrang”.

Abstract

Community Service is a lecturer's obligation which must be carried out as an implementation and recognition of the Tridharma of Higher Education, and is a lecturer's concern for environmental sustainability and the existence of community life. One form of concern from researchers which focuses on the community economic sector is still being carried out in order to play a role in the development of the nation's economy. The methodological approach used by researchers is to provide counseling and assistance to micro, small and medium business actors in managing their businesses with marketing strategies to increase profitability in their businesses. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the economic implementers that give color to Indonesia. The number of MSMEs is increasing every year and has absorbed a lot of workers. The existence of MSMEs is part of human life activities to meet their daily needs as well as their existence in the era of economic globalization and the ability to survive in the face of the economic crisis and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Marketing also requires a strategy that will later be able to win a battle. Because he considers that there are many opponents in the market field who have similarities in their business and should not be turned off. As in the Pancasila economic system, fellow market players should have a sense of mutual care from large entrepreneurs towards smaller entrepreneurs. Therefore, it is necessary to have a Grand Strategy and a Core Strategy or what is called a Core Strategy. (Buchari, 2018) Almost every month MSMEs in the Jember Lor area continue to increase, more people choose business as a way to gain financial income for the family. However, MSME business is still carried out conventionally without any thought for the development of the business. As explained above, assistance is needed for MSME business actors who are willing to become respondents to gain knowledge about marketing strategies in order to increase profits and ensure that their business can survive and develop.

Abstract

Leadership is one description of an institution as a process of influencing other people in a certain scope to work together in a productive way and in pleasant conditions. (Tappen, 1995 in Sitorus and Panjaitan, 2011). As a leader you should be able to create an atmosphere work that creates a new and innovative atmosphere for its staff in achieving goals to be better and obtain higher results than before. It is described that an effective leader is considered to be a person who can read situations and conditions and is able to overcome problems with responsibility and integrity and has good ethics (Muninjaya, 2004). Innovative work behavior is the creation, introduction and implementation of new ideas or ideas in work, either as a group or organization in an effort to improve performance in an organization (Jansen, 2000). As explained above, assistance is needed for business actors or employees who are willing to become respondents to take part in Democratic Leadership Training carried out by researchers. The output target achieved from this research is the production of scientific publications in national journals with ISSN.

Abstract

One of the economic strengths in Indonesian economy is MSMEs or Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises which are growing and developing in society and resulting in significant growth after the Covid 19 Pandemic. This research aims to analyze the influence of business capital management and marketing strategies in increasing profitability of MSMEs. The population in this study were MSMEs in the Jember Lor area, Jember. Samples were drawn using cluster sampling techniques in accordance with specified criteria. The questionnaire for data collection consists of 8 (eight) question items which were measured using a Likert scale. The collected data was then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the analysis show that there is an influence of business capital management strategies and marketing strategies in increasing profitability.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between marketing creativity, product quality, customer satisfaction, and loyalty in coffee micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Banyuwangi. Using a quantitative approach with 145 samples and data analysis through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Partial Least Squares (PLS), the study investigates how marketing creativity and product quality influence customer satisfaction and loyalty. The results show that both marketing creativity and product quality significantly affect customer satisfaction, with product quality having a stronger impact on customer loyalty. The findings highlight the critical role of creative marketing strategies and high-quality products in fostering customer loyalty and satisfaction, suggesting that coffee MSMEs in Banyuwangi should prioritize these factors to sustain competitive advantage.

Abstract

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah di Kota Jember merupakan tantangan mendesak yang membutuhkan solusi inovatif untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat diterapkan adalah ekonomi sirkular, di mana sampah tidak hanya dibuang tetapi juga diolah kembali untuk menghasilkan nilai ekonomi. Aplikasi Kepul hadir sebagai solusi digital yang menghubungkan masyarakat dengan pengumpul sampah, sehingga memungkinkan pemanfaatan limbah yang lebih efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penggunaan aplikasi Kepul dapat berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat setempat. Populasi penelitian adalah pengguna aplikasi Kepul di Kota Jember, sementara sampel penelitian dipilih secara purposif dari individu yang aktif menggunakan aplikasi tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi langsung terhadap pengguna aplikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi Kepul mampu meningkatkan pendapatan komunitas pengguna secara signifikan, dengan rata-rata peningkatan dari sekitar Rp 100.000 menjadi Rp 800.000 per bulan. Selain itu, Kepul terus berinovasi dengan menambahkan fitur-fitur baru berdasarkan umpan balik pengguna, seperti Live Location, penjadwalan ulang, dan keanggotaan. Namun, terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam implementasi aplikasi ini, termasuk branding yang masih lemah, keterbatasan armada, serta perbedaan harga dengan kolektor tradisional. Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, Kepul berencana memperkuat kerja sama dengan Pemerintah Kota Jember serta menarik lebih banyak investor guna meningkatkan jangkauan layanan. Dengan sinergi yang kuat antara aplikasi Kepul, masyarakat, dan pemerintah, diharapkan platform ini dapat terus berkembang serta memberikan dampak positif yang lebih besar terhadap pengelolaan sampah berbasis ekonomi sirkular di Kota Jember.

Abstract

Fenomena limbah botol bekas, gelas plastik, dan gallon bekas memberi inspirasi bagi masyarakat kreatif untuk dimanfaatkan lagi menjadi sesuatu yang memiliki nilai eksotik. Memilah-milah limbah botol yang setiap hari bertambah berkontribusi pada pencemaran lingkungan, oleh karenanya masyarakat dihimbau untuk turut serta memikirkan pengurangan dampak lingkungan yang akan terjadi. Diketahui bersama bahwa limbah dari botol plastik merupakan limbah yang dikatakan sebagai limbah anorganik dengan wujud padat yang akan sulit teruraikan, karena bahan yang digunakan adalah  berupa bahan non-hayati atau bahan kimia. Masalah pengelolaan limbah botol plastik atau gallon bekas air mineral yang dapat dibagi menjadi tiga, yaitu  Reduce, Reuse, dan Recycle. Peneliti turut serta untuk menerapkan konsep 3 R tersebut dan turut berkontribusi dengan kegiatan yang dapat mengurangi jumlah limbah botol dan gallon bekas yang telah menjadi masalah di lingkungan, serta sirkular ekonomi serta turut menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem di lingkungan, Adapun kegiatan yang dilakukan dengan mengelola kembali (Reuse) limbah galon menjadi barang yang memiliki nilai ekonomis dalam bentuk pot tanaman obat bagi keluarga di sekitar perumahan Jember Permai 3 Kecamatan Sumbersari.Target luaran yang dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah dihasilkannya publikasi ilmiah dalam jurnal nasional ber-ISSN dan HAKI.

Abstract

Break Even Point (BEP) in sheep farming management can be used to provide information about breaking even point search (Break Even Point) as the basis for profit planning for the business being run. Information regarding production costs, management strategies, and break-even challenges was collected through semi-structured interviews. The results of the study show that most farmers have not systematically applied BEP analysis in their business planning. The main factors that affect the break-even are fluctuations in feed prices, livestock mortality rates, and access to markets. Farmers' experience in managing finances and marketing strategies also plays a role in the success of the livestock business. This research framework refers to a descriptive quantitative approach with a direct interview method with sheep farmers as the research subject. Implications for Farmers, providing a deeper understanding of the importance of Break-Even Point (BEP) analysis in business financial management, for Policymakers as a basis for designing training and mentoring programs for farmers, Academics and Researchers opens up opportunities for further research on the role of social, technological, and innovative factors in achieving BEP in sheep farming, for Financial Institutions, To assess the feasibility of a sheep farming business in providing business credit, for investors to identify investment risks and opportunities in the sheep farming industry.
