Abstract

The purpose of this study was to ascertain how different types of manure and bulbil size affected the growth of porang seedlings. This study used a Randomized Block Design with two factorials, namely, treatment of manure (P) with four kinds, namely chicken manure, cow manure, and goat manure The second factor is the size of bulbil with three types of size such as small (2 - 3,25 gr), medium (6 - 6,85 gr) and big (9 - 9,32 gr). The parameters observed in this study were plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm), leaf width (cm), number of leaves (strands), and percentage of finished seedlings. The results showed that Bulb weight 9 gr – 9.32 gr gives the best average in the plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, number of roots, and percentage of finished seedlings. Goat manure gives the best average for plant height, leaf area, and number of roots. There was an interaction between bulbil weight and type of manure on parameters of plant height.

Abstract

Cabbage is a vegetable that is easily found in traditional and modern markets. Leaf vegetables belonging to the Brassicaceae family, their needs continue to increase with the increasing growth of Indonesia's population, nutritional knowledge and people's purchasing power. Generally, cabbage plants are grown in the highlands. Cabbage production has decreased which could be due to a decrease in the availability of nutrients in the soil so that the right dose of fertilizer is needed to increase production. In addition, the ability to absorb nutrients for each variety of cabbage is different. The purpose of the study of the dose of NPK fertilizer on cabbage varieties was to determine the accuracy of the dose of NPK for cabbage growth; to obtain adaptive varieties in growth and production and to determine the response of NPK doses and varieties of cabbage to the growth and production of cabbage plants. The use of RAK (Randomized Block Design) in the study with factor I was the dose of NPK (D0 = no NPK; D1 = NPK 2 grams / plant; D2 = NPK 2.25 grams / plant; D3 = NPK 2.50 grams / plant) and the second factor is the variety (V1 = Green Nova Cabbage; V2 = Green Coronet Cabbage; V3 = Grand 11 Cabbage). The conclusions of the study were that: 1. The dose of NPK fertilizer had an effect on the parameters of height, number of leaves, and wet weight of the crop 2. Types of varieties affected the parameters of plant height; 3. The dose interaction of 2 grams of NPK/plant (D1 V2) and the green coronet variety gave the best average response of root length. Abstract

Grapes are one of the fruits from sub-tropical regions that have adapted to the climate of the Indonesian region. Increasing grape production needs to be done through various plant propagation techniques considering that grape productivity in Indonesia is still relatively low. One of the plant propagation techniques that can be applied to grapes is cuttings.The aims of the research were: 1) To determine the type of variety that affected the growth of grape cuttings (Vitis vinifera L.), 2) To determine the type of synthetic auxin that affected the growth of grape cuttings (Vitis vinifera L.), 3) To determine whether there was an interaction between varieties and types of auxin on the growth of grape cuttings grape cuttings (Vitis vinifera L.).The study was conducted using a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 2 factors. The first factor was the type of variety (Kediri Kuning, Prabu Bestari, and Bali varieties) and the second factor was the type of synthetic auxin (IBA, NAA, IAA) which was repeated 3 times.The results showed that: 1) Single-variety treatment had a significant effect on the treatment of the Prabu Bestari (J2) variety on the growth of grape cuttings (Vitis vinifera L.). 2) The single treatment of synthetic auxin had a significant effect on the treatment of auxin IBA (Z1) on the growth of grape cuttings (Vitis vinifera L.). 3) There was an interaction between varieties and synthetic auxins in the combination treatment of Prabu Bestari and NAA (J2Z2) varieties on the growth of grape cuttings (Vitis vinifera L.).Keywords: Types of Varieties, Kinds of Synthetic Auxins, Grape Cuttings.

Abstract

Oyster mushroom is a type of wood fungus that originally grew naturally on tree trunks that had undergone weathering in forest areas. To increase the production of white oyster mushrooms, have to added nutrients from outside in the form of mood boosters as a supporting ingredient for growing media. This study used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors. The first factor is various mood booster: rice washing water, coconut water, and sugar water. The second factor is mood booster dose: 0 ml / baglog, 50 ml / baglog, 100 ml / baglog and 150 ml / baglog. Based on the results, it can be concluded as follows: (1) The treatment of various mood booster rice water has effective in providing the best results on the parameters of the number of hoods and fruit weight, (2) Mood booster dose treatment of 100ml/baglog gave the best effects on the parameters of mycelium fulfillment time, pinhead emergence time, fruit weight, and the number of white oyster mushroom hoods, (3) there was an interaction between the rice water mood booster and the 100 ml/baglog mood booster dose against all parameters. Abstract

Crop cultivation using the hydroponic method is one of the urban farming trends in metropolitan areas and aims to fulfill food security. Lettuce is one of the horticultural crops which have high economic value. Quality and the yield of several lettuce varieties (Lactuca sativa L) could be raised through the appropriate concentration of AB mix nutrients. This research aimed to determine the concentration of AB mix nutrients on the growth and yield of lettuce. The research design used in this research was Randomized Block Design (R.B.D) with the first single factor consisting of 3 levels, red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce, and curly lettuce. The second single factor is the concentration of AB mix solution consisting of 4 (four) levels, such as non-nutrients, 4 ml/liter, 8 ml/liter, and 12 ml/liter. The results showed that lettuce varieties had an effect on the plant length, stem diameter, root length, wet crop residue, and dry crop residue. The concentration of AB mix solution also affected the plant length, number of leaves, root length, wet crop residue, and dry crop residue. The relationship between the combination of several types of lettuce and the concentration of AB mix solution provided differences in leaf width, wet crop residue, and dry crop residue. Abstract

Budidaya sayuran secara hidroponik menggunakan sistem wick merupakan salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk pemanfaatan lahan sempit pada urban farming. Jenis sistem hidroponik yang mudah digunakan adalah sistem sumbu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respon interval pengadukan dan penggunaan air baku yang digunakan sebagai pengencer nutrisi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi selada hijau romaine. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan Faktor pertama adalah interval pengadukan dalam wadah sistem sumbu dengan 4 taraf (tanpa pengadukan, diaduk 1 kali/hari, 2 kali/hari dan 3 kali/hari) dan Perlakuan kedua meliputi penggunaan air baku yang terdiri dari 3 taraf (Air pembuangan AC, Air PDAM, Air sumber dari pegunungan). Pengulangan dilakukan sebanyak 3 kali. Variabel pengamatan meliputi: tinggi tanaman, diameter, jumlah daun, panjang akar, dan berat brangkasan basah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interval pengadukan larutan nutrisi 3 kali sehari memberikan pengaruh signifikan pada semua parameter pertumbuhan dan produksi selada hijau romaine. Macam air baku yang digunakan, yaitu air AC, berpengaruh positif terhadap semua parameter pertumbuhan dan produksi. Kombinasi perlakuan interval pengadukan 3 kali/hari dengan penggunaan air baku asal pembuangan AC menghasilkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tertinggi.

Abstract

Pengelolaan limbah organik, seperti limbah kulit bawang merah dan sisa sayuran, merupakan tantangan yang dihadapi masyarakat Kecamatan Kanigaran, Kota Probolinggo. Pemanfaatan limbah organik menjadi produk bermanfaat, seperti pupuk organik cair (POC) dan bokashi padat, belum optimal akibat rendahnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan Tim Penggerak PKK dalam mengolah limbah organik menjadi pupuk yang ramah lingkungan. Program terdiri atas penyuluhan tentang pentingnya pengelolaan limbah, demonstrasi pembuatan POC dari limbah kulit bawang merah, pembuatan bokashi padat dengan sisa sayuran, serta pengaplikasian pupuk pada tanaman. Sebelum pelatihan, hanya 33% peserta yang memiliki keterampilan dasar dalam pengelolaan limbah, namun angka ini meningkat menjadi 86% setelah pelatihan. Peserta mampu mempraktikkan pembuatan pupuk secara mandiri dan memahami manfaat serta aplikasinya dalam mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan peserta secara signifikan dan tingginya minat untuk menerapkan teknik yang dipelajari dalam skala rumah tangga maupun komunitas. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendorong terciptanya pertanian berkelanjutan sekaligus mengurangi dampak negatif limbah organik terhadap lingkungan.

Abstract

Di desa Tegalrejo nasi basi biasanya dibuang percuma tanpa di manfaatkan bahkan dibuang, akibatnya dapat terjadi pencemaran tanah, air maupun udara, menyebabkan bau tidak sedap dan untuk mengurangi limbah tersebut, agar lingkungan terbebas untuk itu kami berupaya mengelola limbah tersebut menjadi pupuk organik melaluipembetukan MOL (Mikro-Organisme Lokal). Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu untuk membuat MOL dengan bahan baku dari limbah nasi basi sebagai pupuk organik ramah lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode ceramah dan demontrasi pembuatan MOL kepada petani dan ibu-ibu kader Desa Tegalrejo.Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan pemberian materi melalui power point lalu melakukan demontrasi sehingga penyuluhan ini memiliki keberhasilan yaitu petani dan ibu-ibu kader memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam membuat MOL dari nasi basi untuk menjadi pupuk organik yang ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Mango (Mangifera indica L.) is a fruit plant that has great development potential because of its high genetic diversity. Mangoes are popular for their delicious sweet taste once they reach maturity. This research aims to: 1) Find out the effect of giving gibberellin on the growth of Mangifera indica L. grafted seeds. 2) To determine the effect of growth of grafted mango plant seeds (Mangnivera indica L) on scion variants. 3) Find out whether gibberlin and scion varieties affect the growth of grafted mango (Mangifera indica L) seedlings. First hypothesis: 1. The growth of grafted mango plant seedlings (Mangifera indica L) is influenced by the use of gibberellin. 2) The scion variety influences the development of grafted mango plant seeds (Mangifera indica L). 3) The interaction of gibberellin and scion type influences the growth of mango (Mangifera indica L) seedlings after grafting. This study tested the effect of giving gibberlin at three levels and scion varieties at three levels of treatment using a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with two levels. Three copies of the experiment were carried out. The analysis will proceed to the least significant difference test (BNT) at a significance level of 5% if the F test findings show a statistically significant effect.

Abstract

Jalan Yos Sudarso, Pabean Village, Dringu District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java Province, is a village where the majority of the population are MSMEs and run the Toko Bunda business. The main problem faced by Toko Bunda business owners in Pabean Village is the limited knowledge and insight they have in business management regarding the preparation of financial reports. Therefore, the aim of this service is to help improve the ability of MSMEs to carry out bookkeeping that is simple and easy to understand. The method used in carrying out community service in South Alai Village is an approach method of socializing how to make simple financial report bookkeeping to grocery stores around the village. The results of the activities carried out are that business actors state that implementing bookkeeping in businesses has a positive effect and is very important for businesses to use in order to know how to calculate business profits or losses and measure business capabilities.
