Abstract

The purpose of this journal article research is to describe the forms of acquisition of syntactic aspects due to online games in children aged 9 years. his study used descriptive qualitative method. The subject in this study was a 9 year old child named Bima. The data in this study is in the form of qualitative data. The data collection for this research was carried out using notetaking techniques, interviewing 9-year-old children in their home environment who play online games. The results of the study show that the child is able to say declarative, imperative and interactive sentences.

Abstract

Language is a tool that is certainly familiar to use in society, because without language we will not be able to communicate with other people around us. Therefore, with language, of course, we can more easily socialize with the people around us. This study aims to describe the forms, functions, and types of adjectives semantically mastered by a ten-year-old child with the initials Zhl. The method used in this research activity is a qualitative descriptive method, which is accompanied by a note-taking technique by listening and then recording language skills in the study of adjective syntax. The subjects in this study were ten year old children with the initials Zhl. The object of this research is a ten year old child who is playing with his friends. The results showed that the adjectives used were attributive adjectives, predicative adjectives, and inverse predicative adjectives. The function of adjectives in speech is as a complement or explanation of a sentence, and as a predicate in a sentence.

Abstract

One of the online dating-based applications that is focused on in this study is the Bumble application. This study discusses how to master the strategy of asking teenage boys aged 18-20 years in the Bumble application with the aim of meeting face to face with their interlocutors. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Based on the results of this study, there are 10 strategies used by 10 teenage boys aged between 18 and 20 years in asking to meet the other person. As for mastering the asking strategy spoken in the Bumble application, there are several forms of sentences used, such as: declarative, interrogative, and imperative sentences. Then use speech acts in the form of offers, orders, and praise. So it can be concluded that there is 1 male teenager aged 18 using imperative sentences with directive speech acts (commands), 3 male adolescents aged 19 using interrogative sentences and declarative sentences with commissive speech acts (offers), and 6 male adolescents aged 20 years use declarative sentences, interrogative sentences, and imperative sentences using commissive (offer) and expressive (praise) speech acts. And all the strategies carried out by 10 teenage boys aged 18-20 years use indirect speech.
