Abstract

Based on a 2021 survey of 346 Governance and Office Automation (OTKP) teachers in Surabaya showed that 47.1% (163 teachers) needed training in developing teaching materials. LKS, which is teaching material, is an important part where teachers must be able to design LKS as a learning resource that integrates four essential things, including Strengthening Character Education (PPK), Literacy, 21st Century Skills, and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The application of technology into learning resources can be done one way by integrating Quick Response Code technology, called a QR Code, into worksheets. This PKM activity uses interactive lecture methods, discussions, demonstrations, training, and mentoring. The results of this PKM activity received a very good response which can be seen from the activity evaluation sheet, and the testimonies of the teachers participating in the training, 93% of the participants who took part in this activity stated that they gained more knowledge regarding how to compile good and correct QR-Code Based LKS. As well as 53.7% of the participants who participated in this activity stated that they would develop a QR-Code Based LKS per the subject being taught.

Abstract

One of the characteristics of vocational education is preparing students to enter the world of work. Vocational education emphasizes "hands on-experience", one of which is obtained through industrial work practice activities (prakerin). The purpose of this research is to conduct a study to identify internship activities as an effort to prepare Vocational High School or Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) students for work. The research method used is to use a systematic literature review (SLR). 5 articles were obtained from search results on Google Scholar with the password prakerin and work readiness of SMK students in the 2017 -2022 year range. The results of the study show that vocational students' readiness to work can be pursued with internship activities.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how online learning self-efficacy, self-regulated learning, and achievement motivation affect students' academic performance in online courses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study participants were students from the Office Administration Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. We used structural equation modeling (SEM) to measure the direct and indirect effects of the structural model. The results show that online learning self-efficacy positively affects self-regulated learning, achievement motivation, and academic performance. However, self-regulated learning and achievement motivation do not affect academic performance, and also do not mediate the relationship between online learning self-efficacy and academic performance.

Abstract

The 4C skills (Creative Thinking, Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving, Communication, and Collaboration) are needed in the 21st century to support learning and prepare students to compete in the labour market. This study aims to determine the implementation of 4C skills in productive subjects of competency skills for Vocational High Schools (SMK) Otomatisasi dan Tata Kelola Perkantoran (OTKP) in 17 schools in Surabaya City. This evaluation research uses the CIPP method (Context, Input, Process, Product). The method used is a combination method (Mix Methods). The results showed that the suitability of applying the 4C skills at the Surabaya City OTKP Skills Competency Vocational School for each aspect of context, input, process, and product was in the high category. In addition, from the results of documentation and observation in the learning process, the teacher has carried out the four aspects of 4C skills. It can be concluded that the application of 4C skills has been going well.

Abstract

Revolusi industri 4.0 memberikan dampak yang sangat besar terhadap sistem pembelajaran saat ini, rendahnya hasil belajar merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang sering terjadi dalam dunia pendidikan dimana pada SMKN 1 Jombang proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan berpusat pada guru sehingga hasil belajar siswa belum mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Discovery Learning berbantuan powerpoint iSpring suite terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X Manajemen Perkantoran dan Layanan Bisnis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimental dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group yang terdiri dari dua kelompok yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMKN 1 Jombang dengan sampel berjumlah 70 siswa. Data diperoleh berasal dari hasil nilai tes, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas, uji reliabilitas, uji N-Gain dan uji hipotesis. Hasil uji hipotesis terhadap hasil belajar siswa dapat diketahui bahwa kelas kontrol memperoleh skor rata-rata 65,31, sedangkan kelas eksperimen memperoleh skor rata-rata 80,34. Hasil menunjukkan model pembelajaran Discovey Learning berbantuan powerpoint iSpring suite berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas X MPLB di SMKN 1 Jombang.

Abstract

Objectives: This study aimed to develop and assess the feasibility of an audio-based Student Textbook and Lecture Guide for the Business and Office English course in the Office Administration Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas negeri Surabaya that address the lack of updated course-aligned teaching materials. Method:  This study used Research and Development approach with ADDIE instructional design model, but the process was limited to the implementation stage after wider-scale trials and revisions.  The product was validated by a material expert and a media expert, followed by student try-outs using questionnaires (small group of 10 students and large group of 40 students from the 2023 cohort). Results: Needs analysis showed the program had no updated textbook aligned with the semester lesson plan; learning relied mainly on lecturer-made PowerPoints and conventional instruction considered less effective for achieving course outcomes.  Expert validation indicated the material aspect was feasible with an average score 67 and the media aspect was highly feasible with average score 86.  Student responses in the large-group trial showed an overall average score of 94 considered as highly feasible, supporting its use as a learning resource. Novelty: This study provides practical evidence that integrating audio-based exercises into a course-specific textbook and lecture guide based on semester lesson plan and Merdeka curriculum highly feasible model for supporting independent practice in Business and Office English for non-English department.

Abstract

Abstrak Pekerja migran Indonesia di Malaysia menghadapi tantangan literasi keuangan, yang mengakibatkan pengelolaan keuangan kurang optimal meski remitansi yang dikirim cukup besar. Hal ini memengaruhi stabilitas ekonomi mereka dan keluarga. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi keuangan pekerja migran melalui Training Financial Administration yang bekerja sama dengan Aliansi Organisasi Masyarakat Indonesia di Malaysia (AOMI Malaysia). Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 25 peserta dengan metode pelaksanaan meliputi pretest, pelatihan tatap muka, posttest, dan pendampingan daring. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman keuangan peserta, terutama pada kemampuan pengelolaan aliran kas dan perencanaan investasi. Secara deskriptif kualitatif, 75% peserta menilai pelatihan ini sangat relevan dengan kebutuhan mereka, sedangkan secara kuantitatif, hasil posttest menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman rata-rata sebesar 30% dibandingkan pretest. Program ini diharapkan membantu pekerja migran mencapai kesejahteraan ekonomi yang lebih baik melalui pengelolaan finansial yang berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: administrasi finansial; pekerja migran; AOMI Malaysia Abstract Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia face financial literacy challenges, which lead to suboptimal financial management despite substantial remittances sent home. This affects their economic stability and that of their families. This community service program aims to improve financial literacy among migrant workers through Financial Administration Training in collaboration with the Alliance of Indonesian Community Organizations in Malaysia (AOMI Malaysia). The training involved 25 participants and included methods such as pre-test, in-person training, post-test, and online mentoring. Results showed a significant increase in participants' financial understanding, particularly in cash flow management and investment planning. Qualitatively, 75% of participants found the training highly relevant to their needs, while quantitatively, post-test scores demonstrated an average improvement of 30% over pre-test results. This program aims to support migrant workers in achieving better economic well-being through sustainable financial management. Keywords: financial administration; migrant workers; AOMI Malaysia

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana pengelolaan arsip dinamis dilaksanakan di Dinas Pekerjaan Umum Bina Marga dan Sumber Daya Air Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses penciptaan arsip, baik surat masuk maupun surat keluar, dilakukan melalui dua mekanisme, yakni menggunakan aplikasi E-Buddy serta secara manual. Pada tahap penggunaan arsip, peminjaman dicatat melalui buku pinjaman, sedangkan penemuan kembali arsip dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan daftar kode klasifikasi dan penelusuran nomor dokumen. Pemeliharaan arsip dilakukan dengan menjaga kebersihan ruang penyimpanan, tetapi kegiatan penyusutan arsip masih belum berjalan secara maksimal. Hambatan utama dalam pengelolaan arsip meliputi keterbatasan anggaran, fasilitas penyimpanan yang belum memadai, serta kurang optimalnya kegiatan pemeliharaan dan penyusutan. Meski demikian, instansi terkait telah melakukan sejumlah upaya, seperti mengajukan kebutuhan pegawai arsiparis, mengusulkan tambahan anggaran untuk fasilitas dan kegiatan penyusutan, menggunakan box container dan kardus sebagai media penyimpanan sementara, melakukan pembersihan rutin, serta mengelompokkan arsip lama agar lebih mudah dikelola.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning yang dipadukan dengan aplikasi Mentimeter terhadap peningkatan kreativitas siswa. Penelitian ini mengaplikasikan metode eksperimen dengan quasi experimental design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terbagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu 36 siswa kelas X MP 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan 34 siswa kelas X MP 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan lembar observasi, tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis (independent sample t-test), serta perhitungan gain score. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai sebesar 7,356 lebih besar daripada sebesar 1,668, yang menandakan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan di antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol. Rata-rata nilai post-test pada kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model Discovery Learning berbantuan Mentimeter adalah 76,47, sedangkan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model Direct Instruction memperoleh rata-rata 56,94. Selisih rata-rata antara kedua kelompok sebesar 19,12 menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kreativitas siswa pada kelas eksperimen jauh lebih tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima, sehingga model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan Mentimeter terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas siswa kelas X MP SMKN 4 Surabaya.
