Abstract

This research will test the influence of female executives on funding decisions with female commissioners as a moderating variable, using research objects of companies in Indonesia and listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. This research will further explore research conducted by Datta et al. (2021), where they use data from companies in America which have a different culture from Indonesia. This research uses a female board of commissioners as a moderating variable, due to differences in company management structures. This research uses the Ordinary Least Squares method with a sample of 364 non-financial companies during the 2017–2021 period. The test results show that female executives have no effect on the proportion of debt, both short-term and long-term. Female commissioners weaken the relationship between female executives and the proportion of short-term debt, but strengthen the relationship between female executives and the proportion of long-term debt. For company management, the results of this research can be used as a guide for decision-making regarding funding and the selection of top management. This research could be a reference for future researchers and trigger further research on this topic.

Abstract

The integration of technology in education has transformed the teaching and learning of the English language. Online discussions had gained significant attention due to their potential to enhance students' linguistic proficiency, critical thinking skills, and overall engagement. However, there was a lack of research on students' perspectives on engaging in online discussions specifically within the context of English Language Education departments at private universities in Yogyakarta. This study aimed to address this gap by exploring students' experiences, perceptions, and challenges when participating in online discussions at a private university in Yogyakarta. The research investigated the benefits, drawbacks, and challenges encountered by students in online group discussions. A qualitative research methodology was employed, and data was collected through interviews with five English education students. The findings revealed that engaging in online discussions offered benefits such as increased interest, flexibility, improved preparation and performance, and enhanced writing skills. However, limitations included the loss of an authentic discussion experience, inadequate acquisition of detailed information, and frustration due to a lack of responses and comments. Challenges faced by students included low internet connection. The study contributed to the existing literature by shedding light on students' perspectives and informing pedagogical practices in the specific context of English Language Education in Yogyakarta's private universities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji serta menganalisis pengaruh profitabilitas, kepemilikan manajerial, kebijakan dividen, dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap kebijakan hutang. Penelitian ini menggunakan perusahaan sub sektor industri barang konsumsi yang terdaftar di bursa efek indonesia tahun 2019-2021. Jenis data yang digunakan merupakan data sekunder dengan tehnik pengumpulan data purposive sampling. perusahaan yang mempunyai data profitabilitas, kepemilikan manajerial, kebijakan dividen dan ukuran perusahaan dan memiliki data yang lengkap, sehingga jumlah sampel 63 perusahaan. Hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan profitabilittas berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kebijakan hutang, kepemilikan manajerial tidak berpengaruh terhadap kebijakan hutang, kebijakan dividen berengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kebijakan hutang, dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kebijakan hutang. Kata kunci : Profitabilitas, kepemilikan manajerial, kebijakan dividen, ukuran perusahaan, kebijakan hutang Abstract This research aims to examine and analyze profitability, managerial ownership, dividend policy, and firm size that affect debt policy. This research used consumer goods industry sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2019-2021. The type of data used is secondary data with purposive sampling data collection techniques. Companies that have data on profitability, managerial ownership, dividend policy and firm size and have complete data, so that the sample of 63 companies. Based on the results of the study, profitability has a negative and significant effect on debt policy, managerial ownership has no effect on debt policy, dividend policy has a positive and significant effect on debt policy, and Firm size has a positive and significant effect on debt policy. Abstract

The research aims to testine empirically the effect of good corporate governance through the managerial ownership, the independent commissioner, and the audit committee toward the company’s value with the financial performance as the mediation variable. The population in this research is manufactur companies that has registered on BEI, with using the purposive sampling technique. The method that used on this research is path analysis.The result of this research shows that a good corporate governance through the managerial ownership, the independent commissioner, and the audit committee is able to increase the company’s financial performance. The managerial ownership does not has any effect to the company’s value, while the independent commissioner, the audit committee, and the financial performance has positive effects to the company’s value. The financial performance can mediate between independent commissioner to the company’s value. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis lebih lanjut pengaruh profitabilitas, kebijakan dividen, nilai tukar dan tingkat suku bunga terhadap harga saham pada perusahaan finansial yang terdaftar di BEI selama periode 2021-2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisi regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan SPSS. Populasi dalam penelitian ini terdapat 106 perusahaan, dan sampel yang memenuhi kriteria mencakup 27 perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini, variabel profitabilitas diproksikan dengan Net Profit Margin (NPM) untuk menggambakan penghasilan laba bersih dari setiap penjualan. Kebijakan dividen diproksikan dengan Dividen Payout Ratio (DPR) yang menunjukan presentase laba dalam bentuk dividen. Nilai tukar diproksikan dengan Real Exchange Rate (RER) dari mata uang domestik dengan dolar Amerika Serikat. Sementara itu, tingkat suku bunga diproksikan dengan BI Rate, yang dapat mempengaruhi seluruh suku bunga perbankan. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa profitabilitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap harga saham. Sedangkan kebijakan dividen, nilai tukar dan tingkat suku bunga tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap harga saham. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) dalam penelitian ini sebesar 0,117 atau 11%, yang menjelaskan adanya hubungan yang lemah antara variabel profitabilitas, kebijakan dividen, nilai tukar dan tingkat suku bunga terhadap harga saham pada perusahaan sektor finansial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam hubungan antara likuiditas, leverage, jaminan dan peringkat obligasi, serta mengeksplorasi peran ukuran perusahaan sebagai variabel moderasi dalam konteks Perusahaan BUMN yang terdaftar di BEI dan memperoleh pemeringkatan dari PT. Pefindo. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis data regresi linear berganda yang diperoleh dari 60 perusahaan yang terdaftar di BEI yang kemudian dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa likuiditas dan leverage memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peringkat obligasi, Namun jaminan justru tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peringkat obligasi. Ukuran perusahaan terbukti memoderasi hubungan antara likuiditas dengan peringkat obligasi secara negatif atau memperlemah hubungan tersebut, namun ukuran perusahaan tidak mampu memoderasi hubungan antara leverage maupun jaminan terhadap peringkat obligasi. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi manajemen perusahaan dalam pengelolaan rasio keuangan untuk meningkatkan peringkat obligasi, serta mengindikasikan bahwa faktor-faktor fundamental lebih diprioritaskan oleh lembaga pemeringkat dibandingkan skala usaha ataupun jaminan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and capital structure on firm value, as well as the role of profitability as a moderating variable. The object of this study is non-cyclical consumer sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2020-2023. The population of this study amounted to 125 companies, and those that met the sample criteria included 49 non-cyclical consumer sector companies. The firm value in this study was proxied by the Price to Book Ratio (PBV) ratio. The analysis method used was multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. The results of the study prove that CSR has no effect on firm value. On the contrary, capital structure has an effect on firm value. In addition, the role of profitability as a moderating variable has not been able to moderate the relationship between CSR and firm value, meaning that profitability does not strengthen or weaken the relationship. However, profitability has been shown to moderate the relationship between capital structure and firm value, which is precisely profitability weakens the relationship. This indicates that for companies that have a high level of profitability, increasing debt in the capital structure significantly reduces the value of the company.

Abstract

In a competitive business environment, organizations need to adopt efficient systems to maintain operational continuity and continue to modernize their operational systems and procedures. Human resource management (HR) is the key to improving the company's overall performance by focusing on managing and improving the quality of HR in all departments. Job training, career development, and organizational culture have an important role in influencing employee potential and performance. This research was conducted to explore the impact of job training, career development and organizational culture variables on employee performance at PT. Srikandi Jaya Property. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The test results show that job training, career development, and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This confirms that investments in job training, career development, and improving organizational culture can increase overall employee productivity and performance. The research conducted by the author provides important insights for companies to develop more effective HR management strategies, increase employee satisfaction and retention, and strengthen their competitive position in an increasingly complex market. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh likuiditas (CR), profitabilitas (ROA), leverage (DAR) dan aktivitas (TATO) terhadap nilai perusahaan (PBV). Populasi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu perusahaan manufaktur bergerak pada bidang industri barang konsumsi yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2018-2022. Jenis data yang digunakan merupakan data sekunder dengan mengumpulkan data sampling dan perusahaan yang mempunyai data likuiditas, profitabilitas, leverage dan aktivitas, sehingga memperoleh jumlah sampel 155 perusahaan. Hasil pengujian pada penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa leverage (DAR) berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan (PBV) dan profitabilitas (ROA) berpengaruh positif tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan (PBV). Sedangkan aktivitas (TATO) berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan (PBV) dan likuiditas berpengaruh negatif tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan (PBV).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of liquidity, capital structure, firm size, and operational risk on the company's financial performance. The population of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2020 period. Sampling used the purposive sampling method so as to produce 123 manufacturing companies that matched the criteria. Analysis of the data in this study using multiple linear regression. The results of the study prove that liquidity has no effect on the company's performance, capital structure has a positive and significant effect on the company's performance, the size of the company has a positive and significant effect on the company's performance, the company's operational risk has a negative and insignificant effect on the company's performance
