Abstract

The “Mekar Tani” farmer group is one of the farmer groups located in Jorong Gando, Nagari Piobang, Payakumbuh District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra Province, and has 20 members. Previously, this farmer group had received training activities on compost production skills, and received Brazilian spinach seeds from the activity to be developed. Now, this farmer group is actively cultivating Brazilian Spinach by utilizing their yard and some other vacant land. However, in terms of utilizing Brazilian spinach, the farmer group still utilizes Brazilian spinach as a vegetable or only as an ornamental plant. The group has not been able to process Brazilian spinach into healthy food processing innovations. Therefore, this effort is carried out in the form of mentoring in the form of skills training to develop processed Brazilian Spinach as a healthy culinary. The purpose of this activity is to expand partners' knowledge and skills in producing food products from Brazilian Spinach. The results of the activity showed an increase in partners' knowledge and skills in processing Brazilian spinach into processed healthy food increased from 36% to 85.5%. All training participants were very enthusiastic about participating in this training activity. Partners are determined to continue the production of healthy food from Brazilian spinach in the future so that they can be more skilled, and can increase group income.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) led by women have been able to contribute to the national economy, with more than half of MSMEs in Indonesia being operated by women. However, this contribution is still not maximized, as predominantly, women-led MSMEs in Indonesia operate on a small scale and have informal status. The dual role, at times, becomes a reason for them to choose a small scale, especially for women who also work as homemakers. Generally, research tends to focus on the overall performance of MSMEs without specific studies on social capital. There is very little research addressing women-led MSMEs and their actions. This study aims to explore the entrepreneurial concept implemented by women-led MSMEs, considering not only managerial capabilities but also social capital elements such as trust levels, mutual assistance, participation, and moral/cultural traditions. This research will analyze the role of social capital resources in women-led MSMEs in Padang City, specifically in the Koto Tangah sub-district, using qualitative analysis methods such as Descriptive Crosstabs Analysis and Binary Logistic Regression Analysis. Data will be obtained through questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The research results reveal that social capital is deemed capable of building a strong network and has the potential to enhance the performance of women-led MSMEs in Padang City. (UMKM Perempuan telah mampu berkontribusi pada perekonomian nasional bahkan diketahui lebih dari setengah UMKM di Indonesia dijalankan oleh perempuan. Namun kontribusi tersebut masih belum maksimal, karena secara dominan UMKM perempuan di Indonesia berada pada skala yang kecil dan status informal. Peran ganda kadang kala juga menjadi suatu alasan mereka memilih di skala yang kecil, khususnya bagi UMKM perempuan yang juga berprofesi sebagai ibu rumah tangga. Pada umumnya penelitian hanya memfokuskan kinerja UMKM secara umum tanpa adanya kajian yang spesifik tentang modal sosial. Sangat sedikit penelitian yang membahas mengenai UMKM perempuan dan cara mereka bertindak. Penelitian ini akan membahas konsep kewirausahaan yang dilakukan oleh UMKM perempuan dengan memadukan tidak hanya masalah kemampuan managerial tapi juga terkait modal sosial seperti tingkat kepercayaan, tolong menolong, pastisipasi dan moral/adat istiadat. Penelitian ini akan menganalisis mengenai peran sumber daya modal sosial pada UMKM Perempuan di Kota Padang khususnya di Kecamatan Koto Tangah menggunakan analisis kualitatif seperti Analisis Deskriptif Crosstabs dan Analisis Regresi Binary Logistik. Data diperoleh melalui metode kuisioner, wawancara dan Observasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa modal sosial dinilai dapat membangun sebuah jaringan yang kuat dan berpotensi dalam peningkatan kinerja UMKM Perempuan di Kota Padang.)

Abstract

Digital marketing offers many advantages such as wider reach, lower costs, and the ability to monitor and measure results in real time. This is becoming crucial for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that often have limited resources and budgets. Padang City, as one of the major cities in Indonesia, has many UMKMs that play an important role in the local economy. The study aims to compare the effectiveness of the three major digital marketing strategies Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok in the context of UMKM in Padang City, as well as to see how each of these strategies influence sales growth. This research uses the One Way Anova method to analyze the data collected through surveys against UMKMs who are active using digital marketing strategies in Koto Tangah Kota Padang district. Research results show that there are significant differences in the effectiveness of these three digital marketing strategies in increasing sales of UMKM products in Padang City. Abstract

Pembangunan ekonomi yang mengarah pada sektor industri merupakan sektor penggerak utama pertumbuhan ekonomi termasuk dalam penyediaan lapangan pekerjaan bagi tenaga kerja. Oleh sebab itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh investasi sektor industri, upah sektor industri, PDRB sektor industri, dan jumlah industri terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada sektor industri manufaktur di Sumatera Barat. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Analisis Regresi Berganda dengan menggunakan data time series dari tahun 2000-2021. Variabel independen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah investasi sektor industri, upah sektor industri, PDRB sektor industri, dan jumlah industri, sedangkan variabel dependennya adalah penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri manufaktur. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keempat variabel independen dalam penelitian berpengaruh terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri di Sumatera Barat. Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce as a form of electronic commerce has transformed the global shopping landscape. To maintain user satisfaction and competitiveness, e-commerce sites must effectively understand and improve the usability of their systems after launch. The aims of the study are to improve e-commerce post-launch usability so that anime fans' enthusiasm can be capitalized upon for financial gain and market expansion. In this study, we adopted a combined approach that included user observations, interviews, surveys, and performance measurement for anime community e-commerce analysis Weeboo web commerce. Through this method, we analyze the behavior and views of users towards e-commerce systems. The results show that most users experience a positive experience in shopping online by appreciating the usability of the layout, search process, and fast checkout process. The results indicated that most users have a positive online shopping experience, appreciating the layout, search process, and fast checkout process. The SUS score of 75.375 (grade B) and the overall PSSUQ satisfaction score of 2.0296 indicate that the system is acceptably well-received. The proposed recommendations can help e-commerce companies quickly identify usability issues and implement relevant fixes.

Abstract

Economic development that focuses on the industrial sector is a major driving force of economic growth, including in providing employment for the workforce. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of industrial sector investment, industrial sector wages, industrial sector GRDP, and the number of industries on labor absorption in the manufacturing industry sector in West Sumatra. The analysis method used in this study is Multiple Regression Analysis using time series data from 1996-2012. The independent variables used in this study are industrial sector investment, industrial sector wages, industrial sector GRDP, and the number of industries, while the dependent variable is labor absorption in the manufacturing sector. The results of this study show that simultaneously all four independent variables in this study have an effect on the dependent variable. However, partially, the industrial sector investment variable does not have a significant effect on labor absorption, and the industrial sector GRDP variable has a negative and significant effect on labor absorption, while the wage and number of industries variables have a positive and significant effect on labor absorption in the manufacturing industry sector in West Sumatra.

Abstract

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in customer service, including chatbots, personalized recommendations, and virtual assistants, has significantly improved service efficiency and customer experience. However, how these AI-enabled experiences translate into long-term customer loyalty is still not fully understood, especially among Generation Z, who expect digital interactions to be efficient, authentic, and engaging. Previous studies indicate that customer engagement—reflecting cognitive, emotional, and behavioral involvement—may play an important mediating role, yet empirical evidence in emerging market contexts such as Indonesia remains limited. This study aims to examine the mediating role of customer engagement in the relationship between AI-enabled experience and sustainable loyalty among Generation Z consumers in Padang City, Indonesia. Using a quantitative cross-sectional survey design, data were collected from Generation Z respondents who had interacted with AI-based services in the last six months. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results indicate that AI-enabled experience has a positive and significant effect on sustainable loyalty, both directly and indirectly through customer engagement. AI-enabled experience significantly influences customer engagement, which in turn strongly affects sustainable loyalty, confirming the partial mediating role of engagement. These findings highlight that AI-driven services should be designed not only for efficiency but also to foster active interaction and engagement in order to build long-term loyalty among Generation Z consumers.
