Abstract

ABSTRACT: Ajung Village District of Balangan, astronomically are located 114º 50'31'' 115 ° 50'24'' E and 2 º 1'31'' - 2 ° 35'58'' S. Based on the geologicalmap, the Ajung Village District Balangan is Haruyan formation, Ultramafic Rocksand Granodiorit. The erosion of Ultramafic rocks, especially serpentinit undergochemical decomposition and accumulation of iron ore. Since the potential of ironore in Ajung Village is not certain then in this study the authors conducted astudy to determine the potential depth and content of iron ore by using 3Dgeoelectric Dipole Dipole configuration, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer(AAS) and X-ray flourescence (XRF). The results of field measurements 3Dgeoelectric method Dipole Dipole configurations with the potential depth of ± 0to 2.05 meters in the form of chunks of rock with prices between 1594 -2442Ohm.meter resistivity. The average Fe content of elements in the iron ore fromAjung village, District Balangan by laboratory analysis using AAS was 50.01%,while 94.82% are using XRF.Keywords: iron ore, geoelectric, AAS, XRF

Abstract

This research has been done in the mining area of andesite rock of Awang Bangkal village by using magnetic method. Magnetic method is one of the most common geophysical methods used for preliminary surveys on petroleum, earth, and mineral rock exploration. It is intended to determine the subsurface distribution in the area by performing qualitative and quantitative interpretations based on the magnetism value of the earth. The result of data processing using geosoft oasis montaj software shows that the total magnetic field anomaly is -807,3 to -361,7 nT. Qualitative interpretation is done by looking at the contour map of the anomaly, the result of upward continuation and the reduction to the poles. While the interpretation is done by making a modeling of the path that has been determined using mag2dc software. The model shows that the rocks that dominate the area are andesite rocks with their susceptibility value of 0.0992 to 0.2305 in SI units.

Abstract

Distilled water in the laboratory is highly important since it is a basic requirement in the lab work and/or research. The large use of distilled water in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences University of Lambung Mangkurat (FMIPA ULM) obliged to depend on its own by providing the equipment to produce distilled water. The efficiency of water is low during producing one liter distilled water due to 35 liters is needed. Several studies have conducted focusing on the energy efficiency and the use of alternative energy in the distilled water production. Efficiency is not only limited on the heating energy sources, but also the cooling component. One of the attempts is modifying the cooling water circulation in the distillation equipment. It aimed that the cooling water is not wasted but is returned to the circuit. In this study, a cooling water circulation modification was carried out by adding a radiator set, submersible pump and storage tank. The distilled water produced from this circuit will be compared with distilled water from distillation equipment without modification. The parameters compared which are: temperature, volume, electrical conductivity and pH. Our research results show that the modified distillation equipment series is feasible to apply since the electrical conductivity of the resulting distilled water is lower than before modification process and also the sediment attached to the boiler wall is formed slower than the distillation equipment without modification. With the need for a lower volume of raw water, a series of modified distillation equipment is also suitable for use in the dry season or during water distribution is not smooth.

Abstract

Abstract. Mining material of kind C include igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks and metamorphic rocks. These minerals are often used as industrial raw material. Geologically these minerals are to be found in Banjar Regency. Mining material of kind C can increase regional income. Concerning this, mapping of Mining material of kind C distribution is necessary. Method used for this is interpretation of Geological Map of Banjar Regency and stratigraphic analysis. Based on interpretation of geological map, Mining material of kind C found in Banjar Regency include sand, clay, quartz sandstone, quartzite, andesite, granite and serpentinit. Andesite distribution is found in Pitanak and Pauu formation with distributional area of 421 km². Granite distribution is found in Granite Formation with distributional area of 101 km². Quartz sandstone distribution is found in Tanjung Formation with distributional area of 81 km². Serpentinite distribution is found in Manunggul and Ultramafic rocks distribution with distributional area of 941 km². Quartzite distribution is found in Metamorphic Rocks with distributional area of 123 km². Abstract

Telah dilakukan pengukuran lapisan akuifer di Rampa Manunggul,Kabupaten Kotabaru berdasarkan kelistrikan bumi dengan konfigurasi Schlumberger.Pengukuran ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemungkinan adanya lapisantanah/batuan yang berfungsi sebagai perangkap air (akuifer) yang dapatdipergunakan sebagai dasar dalam perencanaan pengembangan air bawah tanahdengan cara pengeboran. Nilai tahanan jenis di lokasi pengukuran antara 0,47–0,48Ωm pada bagian atas ditafsirkan sebagai lumpur penutup yang bersifat basah,tahanan jenis 10-30 Ωm ditafsirkan sebagai lempung pasiran, dan tahanan jenis 30 –300 Ωm ditafsirkan sebagai lapisan pasir. Untuk lokasi pengukuran di RampaManunggul, Kotabaru lapisan air tanah yang bersifat tawar pada kedalaman lebih dari>60 meter.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian di Desa Sumber Mulia, Kabupaten Tanah Laut yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tipe bijih besi dan sebarannya di bawah permukaan tanah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode geolistrik hambatan jenis konfigurasi schlumberger dan karakterisasi X-Ray Flourescence (XRF). Hasil pengolahan 4 titik duga menggunakan perangkat lunak IPI2win diperoleh nilai hambatan jenis berkisar antara 2,37 - 5,6 Ωm dengan potensi kedalaman ±11 - 33 meter. Data XRF menunjukan kandungan bijih besi yang ada di Desa Sumber Mulia didominasi besi (Fe) dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 97,876%. Berdasarkan nilai hambatan jenis dan hasil XRF diperkirakan tipe bijih besi di Desa Sumber Mulia adalah Hematite.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Along with the increment of human population, ground water pollution also tends to increase. It primarily due to the accumulation of waste which could harm the public health. Trash or waste is one of the important issues which could contaminate ground water, especially waste landfills. Ground water that has been contaminated with liquid waste (leachate) can affect the quality of ground water. This study aimed to determine the composition of rocks, layers and depth of ground water around waste landfills (TPS) and to determine whether ground water around the TPS is contaminated or not. Estimation of groundwater pollution could be determined by measurement using geoelectric method with schlumberger configuration. It showed  the presence of leachate layer at depth of 0,51 – 8,51 m with measured resistivity of 3,89 – 9,63 Ohm.meter, while groundwater is at depth of 22,92 – 26,59 m with resistivity value of 88,98 – 128,75 Ohm.meter. AAS sample test has been conducted to determine whether the ground water around TPS is contaminated or not.  The test results using AAS showed groundwater around TPS was contaminated with Lead (Pb), iron (Fe) and Cadmium (Cd). The evidence was the value of their concentrations in three water samples which exceeded the thresholds in accordance with the requirements of drinking water. Threshold for Pb, Fe and Cd are 0,01 ppm, 0,3 ppm and 0,003 ppm, respectively. From the measurement results of sample 1, 2 and 3 couls be obtained the concentration of  Pb are 0,084 ppm, 0,044 ppm and 0,091 ppm, the concentration of Fe are 0,812 ppm for 1,018 ppm and 0,203 ppm, while the concentration of Cd are 0,012 ppm, 0,017 ppm and 0,01 ppm. Keywords: Ground water, waste, geoelectric, AAS

Abstract

Society of Kampung Baru village living in coastal areas utilize ground water to filling the need of ground water consumption. Over take of Ground water made different between  ground water level and sea surface level so get seawater intrusion. Therefore, research has done to knowing depth value of  distribution by resistiviting value and well water of NaCl contents in Kampung Baru village. Based on result of geoelectric data processing 2D Wenner configuration on 3 tracks with each tracks length 200m which made by Res2dinv software, then sea intrusion start from 0.93-19.6 m with resistivity value 0.2-6.40 Ωm. Based on the result of laboratory tests on three sample showed levels ranging Na is 12,055-14,027 mg/l and Cl has a value that ranges between 52,18-94,58 mg/l. Where this value is below the maximum levels that may be consumed

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Kromit merupakan mineral oksida dari besi kromium dengan komposisi kimia (FeCr2O4) dan bijih logam kromium. Berdasarkan peta geologi, Desa Kiram Kecamatan Karang Intan Kabupaten Banjar merupakan formasi ultramafik, terdiri dari batuan peridotit dan batuan serpentit yang terlipat kuat. Kedalaman dan kandungan kromit serta unsur lainnya diketahui dengan metode Geolistrik 2D konfigurasi dipole-dipole dan X-Ray Flourescence (XRF). Hasil pengukuran di lapangan metode geolistrik 2D konfigurasi dipole-dipole dengan potensi kedalaman 0–10 m yang berupa bongkahan batuan berbentuk boulder dengan harga resistivitas antara 1.084-3.435 Ohm.meter. Kandungan kromit yang ada di Desa Kiram, Kecamatan Karang Intan, Kabupaten Banjar dengan analisa XRF adalah berkisar antara 22,7%-25,5 % dan Fe berkisar antara 27,9%-29,3%. Unsur lain selain kromit yaitu Si, Mg, Ni,Mn dll. Kata kunci: kromit, geolistrik, XRF, kab. Banjar

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pendugaan lapisan akuifer diKabupaten Kotabaru Kalimantan Selatan pada tanggal 11 Agustus 2009.Daerah Kotabaru termasuk dalam anak cekungan Asam-Asam dan anakcekungan Pasir tersusun atas batuan yang diperkirakan berumur Jura yangterdiri dari batuan ultramafik, batuan malihan, batuan bacuh dan rijangradiolarian. Nilai tahanan jenis di lokasi penyelidikan dapat dibedakan dalambeberapa kelompok yaitu tahanan jenis antara 100-500 Ωm pada bagian atasditafsirkan sebagai tanah penutup dalam kondisi basah sampai kering, tahananjenis < 10 Ωm ditafsirkan sebagai lapisan lempung yang bersifat kedap air,tahanan jenis 10–30 Ωm ditafsirkan sebagai lapisan lempung pasiran dantahanan jenis 30–300 Ωm sebagai lapisan pasir. Lapisan yang dapat bertindaksebagai perangkap air bawah tanah/akuifer diperkirakan lapisan yangbertahanan jenis 10-300 Ωm. Mempertimbangkan aspek kemungkinan prospekketerdapatan air tanah, maka pengukuran GL.1 Pada titik GL.1 disarankanuntuk dilakukan pengeboran pada lapisan pasir pada kedalaman antara 30-90meter untuk nilai tahanan jenis 34,68 Ωm atau kedalaman lebih dari 90 meterpada nilai tahanan jenis 70,89 Ωm. Pada titik GL.2 disarankan untuk dilakukanpengeboran pada lapisan pasir pada kedalaman antara 50-80 meter untuk nilaitahanan jenis 169,18 Ωm atau kedalaman lebih dari 80 meter pada nilaitahanan jenis 37,13 Ωm, karena lapisan tersebut diperkirakan sebagai lapisanberfungsi sebagai perangkap air.
