Abstract

Verbal Abuse is an act of violence that is carried out verbally / verbally, which can cause personal harm, even the worst is suicide by the victim. This study was conducted to investigate the Psychological Impact of Verbal Abuse. In the process, this study used literature studies and surveys to adolescents aged 16 to 25 years, by asking 5 open-ended questions, 2 choice questions, and 9 questions with a scale of 1-4 choices given to 55 respondents. In this study, it showed that verbal abuse had an impact on 65.5% of respondents and had an impact on 35.5% of respondents which was indicated by psychological responses such as anger, sadness, disappointment, fear, anxiety, eating problems, sleep problems, feelings of wanting to hurt yourself, and feelings of self-harm. want to kill myself.

Abstract

Academic problems can cause any negative impact on students. An immature psychological condition sometimes also adds problems for students. If this happens for a long time, it will cause a decrease in learning motivation. This study aims to analyse the effect of social support on motivation and school well being on students in Indonesia. Social support is believed to encourage learning for students, furthermore, school well-being in students will grow because they feel their needs are met. This study uses literature review methods from several journals taken in Google Scholar and Springer. The results found that motivation and social support had a positive and significant influence on school well-being. Therefore, school well-being can be improved through increased motivation and social support.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of academic procrastination and time management on academic stress. The research method used by the author is a literature study method by reading, collecting data, analyzing, and drawing conclusions based on references sourced from several selected scientific journals that have been previously selected and reviewed by researchers. The results of this study are found to match the factors in academic procrastination and time management that cause academic stress.

Abstract

Many elderly choose to live in nursing homes because they do not receive attention from their families. Loneliness that is felt in nursing homes can affect the mental health of the elderly. This research has high urgency because it describes the negative impact of loneliness (loneliness) on the level of depression in the elderly who are widows/widowers who live in social institutions. In a social context that often lacks attention to this population, this research is important to identify problems and direct attention to efforts to prevent and treat their mental health problems. This study aims to examine the relationship between loneliness (loneliness) and the level of depression in the elderly who are widows/widowers in social institutions. This study uses the literature study method by taking two national articles and three international articles as references. The results show that there is a positive and significant relationship between loneliness and the level of depression in the elderly with widow/widower status in social institutions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji dan menganalisa pelaku KDRT pada wanita karir. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan, menganalisis, memetakan, sekaligus memahami bagaimana dinamika pelaku KDRT melalui analisis komprehensif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari dua orang narasumber wanita karir korban KDRT di Cianjur yang bersedia untuk diwawancara. Data wawancara tersebut kemudian dianalisa secara mendalam dalam bentuk kerangka Logic Model of Problem. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari kedua narasumber perilaku KDRT yang dilakukan oleh suami mereka dipengaruhi oleh faktor kemampuan regulasi diri yang rendah, kemampuan coping mechanism yang tidak tepat, perasaan superioritas pada pasangan, lingkungan dengan budaya patriarki, tekanan masalah ekonomi, dan adanya orang ketiga. Faktor-faktor tersebut memengaruhi faktor lain dan memengaruhi masalah kesehatan yang diderita oleh pelaku, seperti gangguan kognitif dan depresi. Masalah kesehatan tersebut juga mengganggu kualitas hidup pelaku, diantaranya penyalahgunaan substansi, hubungan interpersonal yang buruk, serta penyesalan dan perasaan bersalah.

Abstract

Students are agents of social change who are required to demonstrate their important and fundamental role in real life in intellectual, moral and social terms. One factor so that students can carry out their functions well is self-esteem. Self-esteem in Maslow's view is what a person feels about his own worth. Good use of standard language can increase student self-esteem and influence student self-confidence, self-quality, productivity and achievement. Therefore, this research aims to study aims to determine the effect of using standard language on students' self-esteem. Students need sufficient self-esteem to carry out their roles and functions as students properly, one of the competencies is communication skills in the form of using good and correct standard language. The research used a quantitative method done by distributing closed questionnaires to 45 random participants, and analyzed with descriptive statistic. The results of this study found that there was a positive effect from the use of standard language on the self-esteem of psychology student from Indonesia University of Education, which was marked by increased self- quality, self-confidence, productivity, and student achievement.

Abstract

Cases of bullying or bullying in Indonesia claim many lives. The distribution of the 30 bullying cases included middle school (50%), elementary school (30%), high school (10%), and vocational school (10%). Of these 30 cases of bullying, there were cases that claimed lives, namely one elementary school student in Sukabumi Regency and one MTs student in Blitar (East Java). Both died after experiencing violence from peers within the educational unit (Rosa, 2023). The increasing number of reports of bullying against children is a serious concern for the Psychology Study Program at the Indonesian University of Education (UPI). This is in line with one of the study program's missions, namely realizing community welfare. Children's welfare is an integral part of society's welfare which can be measured through various indicators, including those regulated in Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection. This law emphasizes that every child, including young children, has the right to grow and develop optimally. These rights must be guaranteed, protected and fulfilled by parents, family, society and the state. Unfortunately, aggressive behavior such as violence and bullying among children can have long-term impacts, including increased risk of psychological disorders, poor social functioning, and obstacles in the educational process. As an institution committed to the welfare of society, the UPI Psychology Study Program has an important role in providing education, intervention and research that supports efforts to prevent and handle bullying and violence against children. Based on the presentation of this case, the Psychology Study Program at the Indonesian Education University felt the need to carry out preventive efforts in the form of assertive communication training to minimize the increase in bullying behavior. The aim of this training is to provide training to elementary school teachers so they can train their students about the importance of assertive behavior and develop assertive behavior in an effort to prevent bullying behavior. The method used in this community service was providing material regarding assertive communication. The number of training participants was 116 people who were elementary school teachers spread across the Sukabumi Regency area. There is a pre-test and post-test to test the teachers' knowledge. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant increase in knowledge and the training participants gave a positive response in terms of teaching and implementation.

Abstract

      ABSTRAK: The main problem in this research is to overcome the low ability of students to solve problems., Which almost every day many problems that arise such as: personal, social, career and even learning difficulties. The sample in this study, namely 7th grade SMP 12 Malang.The results of the assessment appear in table 4.3 which states "I feel a loss if I do not go to school" shows the 35% increase in cycle II to 59%. Besides that, based on the analysis of observational data at the time of the action, it can be seen in the average results of students' understanding of behavior during the first cycle of 5.83 and at the meeting of the first 2 cycles there was an average increase of slightly to 6.5 Similarly the average results at the meeting 3 is 7 and at the 4th meeting of the second cycle II the average value of the assignment (post test) was 8.3.        Based on the findings of this study it is suggested to the Guidance and Counseling Teachers to apply group guidance techniques in alleviating student problems. With the use of group guidance on students, it can help enlighten the problem in accordance with the group guidance goals referred to in this study.

Abstract

Kehilangan pasangan pada lansia dapat berdampak signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis mereka, yang menyebabkan kesepian dan kesedihan. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dampak psikologis kehilangan pasangan pada lansia dan peran dukungan sosial dalam mengurangi kesepian serta membantu proses berduka. Sebuah kajian literatur sistematik (SLR) dilakukan dengan menganalisis 10 studi yang dipublikasikan antara 2015 hingga 2025. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial yang kuat dari keluarga, teman, dan komunitas berperan penting dalam mengurangi kesepian dan memfasilitasi pemulihan psikologis setelah kehilangan pasangan. Dukungan ini sangat krusial bagi kesejahteraan lansia selama proses berduka.
