Abstract

The global pandemic, caused by the coronavirus and now commonly referred to as Covid-19, emerged towards the end of 2019. This unprecedented pandemic has wreaked havoc on nearly all companies across the globe, leaving no industry untouched. The ability of individuals to adapt to change has proven to be a pivotal factor in the success of organizations undergoing transformation. Among the crucial determinants of one's preparedness for change lies organizational commitment. This research endeavors to examine the profound influence of organizational commitment on the readiness for change among employees at Geoff Max Footwear.co, situated in the city of Bandung. Employing a quantitative approach, the study was analyzed by regression. incorporated a sample size of 140 participants. The outcomes of this investigation illuminate the multifaceted impact of organizational commitment, comprising three distinct dimensions: affective commitment, continuance commitment, and normative commitment. All dimensions demonstrated a noteworthy level of significance, with p-values of 0.000. This compellingly indicates that organizational commitment significantly affects the preparedness for change within the organization. Pandemi global terjadi pada akhir tahun 2019 yang disebabkan oleh virus corona atau sekarang biasa disebut dengan Covid-19. Pandemi ini menyebabkan hambatan hampir seluruh perusahaan di dunia. Kesiapan individu untuk berubah merupakan faktor yang penting dalam keberhasilan organisasi untuk melakukan perubahan. Salah satu faktor yang memainkan peran penting terhadap kesiapan untuk berubah yaitu komitmen organisasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh komitmen organisasi terhadap kesiapan untuk berubah pada karyawan Geoff Max Footwear.co di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini dianalisis dengan analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh komitmen organisasi yang terdiri dari tiga dimensi yaitu komitmen afektif, komitmen berkelanjutan, dan komitmen normatif. Setiap dimensi menunjukkan hasil signifikansi yang berarti adanya pengaruh komitmen organisasi terhadap kesiapan untuk berubah.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the correlation of attachment on psychological well-being with resilience act as mediator. Participants were 127 high school adolescents with parent divorced while aged 0 to 12 years old. Attachment was assessed by Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA), resilience was assessed by Resilience Scale (RS), and psychological well-being was assessed by Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWBS) instruments. Causal mediation analyses were used to examine the proposed mediation effects. Result showed that attachment can predict adolescents’ psychological well-being. On other hand, resilience functioned as a mediator on the correlation.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to identify the effect of brand trust rock climbing shoes La Sportiva on consumer loyalty towards athletes in west java. This study uses quantitative method with correlational research design. The respondents on this study are 179 rock climbing athletes who also become the consumers of rock-climbing shoes at La Sportiva in west java and the age is between 14–27 years old. This study uses purposive sampling technique and the instrumed used is brand trust scale and consumer loyalty scale. Analysis of the data used is simple linear regression. The result of this study shows that there is a significant effect between brand trust towards consumer loyalty of rock-climbing shoes La Sportiva on athletes in west java.Keywords: brand trust, consumer loyalty, rock climbingAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh brand trust sepatu panjat tebing La Sportiva terhadap consumer loyalty pada atlet di Jawa Barat. Responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah 179 atlet panjat tebing konsumen sepatu panjat tebing La Sportiva di Jawa Barat. Responden pada penelitian ini berusia 14–27 tahun, diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengambilan data adalah brand trust scale dan consumer loyalty scale. Teknis analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara brand trust terhadap consumer loyalty sepatu panjat tebing La Sportiva pada atlet di Jawa Barat.Kata kunci: brand trust, consumer loyalty, panjat tebing

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara phubbing dengan student engagement. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 255 mahasiswa angkatan 2019-2023 program studi Psikologi di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional, dan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi product moment pearson’s. Alat ukur yang telah diadaptasi yaitu Phubbing Scale dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0.61 digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat perilaku phubbing yang dimiliki mahasiswa. Online Student engagement Scale (OSES) dengan nilai reliabelitas sebesar 0.79 untuk mengukur tingkat student engagement mahasiswa. Kuesioner yang digunakan 29 item dan disebarkan secara online dan offline. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan phubbing memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan student engagement.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of intensity of social media use to body dissatisfaction moderated by self-compassion among early adulthood. This research used quantitative research method with 403 early adulthood participated in this research. Instruments used were Intensitas Penggunaan Media Sosial (IPMS) to measure intensity of social media use, Multiple Body-Self Related Questionnaire Appearance Scales (MBSRQAS) to measure body dissatisfaction, and Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) to measure selfcompassion. The analysis technique used is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Result show that intensity of social media use influences body dissatisfaction with a significance value 0.006. Self-compassion influences body dissatisfaction with significance value 0.000. Self-compassion moderated the influence of intensity of social media use on body dissatisfaction with significance value 0.000.

Abstract

This service program is one of life skills education for LPKA students which is expected to be their provision for a career and build economic independence while living a free period and returning to the community  (rer-entry).  Life skills education provided in the form of vocational training in the field of automotive motorbikes with the aim to improve the career orientation of students of the Special Child Development Institute (LPKA). To test the effect of automotive training on the career orientation of LPKA students, an evaluation of the results of training for LPKA students using the design of one group pretest posttest to 29 LPKA students who will undergo a free period. The evaluation results show the career orientation of LPKA students can be developed through the provision of vocational training in the automotive field, namely the provision of knowledge and skills in pioneering motorcycle entrepreneurship. For future programs, especially related to the provision of vocational training, it is expected to increase the types of skills provided to facilitate the interests of different LPKA students.

Abstract

The study aimed to test the effect of social comparison on schadenfreude in early adulthood individuals mediated by self-esteem. Respondents were individuals aged 18 to 24 (n = 350) who were taken using accidental sampling techniques. The Iowa-Netherlands Social Comparison Measurement (INCOM) with a reliability of 0.720 was used to measure an individual’s social comparison level. Schadenfreude scale with a reliability of 0.925 was used to see the individual’s schadenfreude, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) with a reliability of 0.872 was used to measure the individual’s self-esteem level. Data were analyzed by using simple and multiple regression analysis techniques with a significance level of 0.05. The results of this study showed that self-esteem mediates the effect of social comparison on schadenfreude in early adulthood individuals by providing them with a suppressor effect.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical data on the psychological well-being of female employees in Bandung related to work stress and aggression towards children. The method used in this study is a survey method with data collection techniques using purposive sampling. Research respondents are female employees who have dual roles as housewives and as employees in Greater Bandung. The research instruments used were Psychological well-being, Perceived Stress Questionnaire, and Aggression Scale towards children. The data analysis technique of this research is multiple regression analysis. The regression test results stress and aggression in children have a significant positive impact in predicting psychological well-being (F=25.392, P=<0.001).The psychological well-being of female employees in Greater Bandung can be influenced by stress and aggression towards children. This research can be the basis of policy making for working women who have dual roles in controlling stress and the ability to manage aggression to improve psychological well being.

Abstract

Background: The Indonesia Health Survey 2023 indicates that around 70 million people in the country smoke, with 7.2% aged 10 to 18, and Central Java province reports one of the highest child prevalence rates in Indonesia at 9.6%. Tobacco Advertising, Promotion, and Sponsorship (TAPS) influence intention to smoke, and on the other hand, Smoking Media Literacy (SML) can be a shield for youth to protect them from tobacco industry inducement. Methods: This study aims to evaluate the impact of TAPS exposure and SML on smoking intention. This cross-sectional study includes 1,014 students from ten junior high schools, eleven high schools, and five universities located in the three primary municipalities of Central Java Province. A stratified sampling method was used to choose the participants, and data was collected through a self-administered questionnaire. Results: The students were most frequently exposed to TAPS through outdoor media such as billboards and banners, followed by displays at points of sale and online platforms like social media and websites. The logistic regression found that Higher media literacy is associated with a decreased likelihood of intending to smoke, with (OR 0.60). Conversely, exposure to tobacco advertising, promotion, and sponsorship (TAPS) increases intending to smoke by approximately 55% (OR 1.55). The intention to smoke is the most potent predictor of whether an individual has ever smoked (OR 9.91). Conclusion: The low media literacy increases vulnerability to tobacco marketing, while exposure to tobacco advertising and promotion significantly heightens the likelihood of intending to smoke. The strong association between smoking intention and highlights the critical importance of early preventative measures. Targeted strategies such as media literacy education and a total TAPS ban are essential to curb the rising trend of tobacco use among Indonesian youth.
