Abstract

One of the most important elements influencing a building project's success is its implementation cost. Issues including ineffective material utilization, inept resources, and improper work method selection frequently arise during project execution. These problems may cause projects to be executed with significant time and expense overruns. Project cost control can be used to lessen these issues. Value engineering analysis is the research methodology employed. Value engineering is used to maximize project budgets by locating and removing wasteful spending. Optimizing building projects in terms of time, money, technology, and creativity is the goal of this study. Price surveys serve as the major means of gathering data for the descriptive quantitative research design. Project managers and material suppliers are among the respondents. The Unit Price Analysis (AHSP) and the Budget Plan (RAB) are two examples of secondary data that were employed. The best alternative design and the least expensive alternative design are the two categories into which alternative designs are divided based on the analysis results. The cheapest option's cost optimization is 9.95%, or Rp1,336,499,405, of the initial design cost, whereas the best option's is 9.14%, or Rp1,222,120,406..

Abstract

This study examines the effect of age and gender on motorbike risk behavior in the city of Denpasar, Bali Province, Indonesia. Questionnaires were distributed to collect various data consisting of personal characteristics involving age and sex consisting of perceptions of risk (Risk Perception/RP), penchant for risk behavior (Positive Affect/PA), and risk driving behavior (Risk Behaviour/RB). The results showed that there were no significant differences between the age and gender of motorcyclists in performing risky behavior on the highway. Both teenagers and adults, as well as male or female drivers have the same possibility of behaving at risk on the road. Perceptions of risk behavior are very influential for motorbike riders, men, women, and adolescents. While perceptions and hobbyist behavior risk having an effect on adult motorcyclists. This shows that returning decisions when riding motorbikes on the road for male, female, and teenage motorbike riders is often based on rational analysis (perception) compared to the empirical experience of the rider based on driving experience. Unlike the adult motorcycle rider who takes into account the rational aspects and aspects of experience. Perception of risk behavior (RP) depends on the level of understanding or knowledge related to the definition of risk behavior on the highway. Therefore, education on road safety should start from an early age and become part of formal education in schools

Abstract

One of the problems in construction activities is the risk of delays in the construction project. In The Himana Condotel project, several obstacles make some of the work not on the schedule. We analyze risk factors for delays to find out the dominan risk dan the solution. This research method uses a quantitative descriptive method and using questionnaires and interviews. The respondents were taken based on the criteria that are the respondent who has the important position at the Himana Condotel Project. From the data, we can specify the frequency and consequences occur risk that uses semantic differential scale in the questionnaire, that obtained the dominant risk factor based on the risk rating table with the highest risk level. After we get the dominant risk factors and the risk description, then we can determine the mitigation action that we can suggest. From the analysis, we get 5 variable risk factors for delay from The Himana Condotel project that is planning aspects, employment documents and contracts aspects, implementation aspects, resource aspects, and environmental aspects. Of the five aspects, the risk descriptions are described as 48. The dominant risk is obtained based on the percentage of the risk level, the risk level is obtained with a value of 36 %. From the five aspects of the risk factors for delays, all of them have high risks and 17 descriptions of risks that have a high-risk level. The suggested matters for the dominant risk mitigation to be carried out are more coordination between the parties involved, the preparation of schedule and planning in more detail, technical implementation in the fields especially for BQ, contract, work planning and terms to get more attention and increase the accuracy of the implementation of work as planned.
