Abstract

Endophytes are microorganisms that colonize the plant host tissue. Endophytic colonies are able to produce secondary metabolites in accordance with their host plants, endophytes have been found in every plant species studied to date and are recognized as a source of new natural compounds that have the potential to be exploited in medicine. This study aims to isolate and obtain endophytic fungi and to test secondary metabolites that have the potential as antibacterial against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Plant samples were taken around the village of Mamben, Wanasaba. The research method used is experimental laboratory. This research was conducted by isolating and identifying endophytic fungi from nettle stems. Obtained a type of endophytic fungal strain using Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) media. The production of secondary metabolites of endophytic fungi was obtained by fermentation method using brown rice for a month then macerated for 3 days using methanol solvent and tested for secondary metabolites and antibacterial activity. The endophytic fungal extract of nettle stem contains alkaloids and flavonoids and is able to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria with the highest concentration of 60% with an inhibition zone of 18 mm. whereas, the extract of nettle stem endophytic fungus on Escherichia coli has not an inhibition zone.

Abstract

Abstract: Through the creation of comparison board materials, this project aims to help students who have difficulty in understanding mathematics in grade I of SD Negeri Banjarsari, Bandarkedungmulyo, Jombang in the 2024-2025 school year. A research and development (R&D) research design was used in this study. Based on the post-test results, the data showed that the classical completion rate of 81.6% indicated the achievement of classical completion. Open-ended questionnaires, interviews, and observations were used in the data collection process. The research and development of grade I elementary school number comparison materials for comparison boards in arithmetic learning resulted in findings that; (1) The development stage obtained results in the form of a comparison board math learning media that has been considered valid and practical through validity tests and practicality tests. The evaluation stage obtained results in the form of media evaluation or improvement at each stage. The analysis stage is carried out to determine the needs and tools for understanding the material in the form of comparison board media. The design stage obtained a math learning media design so that an attractive comparison board math learning media could be developed; and (2) With a validity level of 88%, the comparison board learning media is considered feasible. In the practicality test, the comparison board math learning media obtained a score of 85.14% which indicated that the comparison board math learning media was very practical.

Abstract

Multiple Intelligences, often referred to as multiple intelligences, emphasize the ability to solve problems and create works of art. One of these intelligences is kinesthetic intelligence. Kinesthetic intelligence refers to the ability to use all parts of the body through movement to express thoughts and feelings. However, children's abilities vary, and not all children possess strong kinesthetic intelligence, as observed at TKQ Nurul Huda. This research aims to determine the importance of developing kinesthetic intelligence through imitating movements based on pattern concepts using the ATIK model, which focuses on image patterns. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), with data collection techniques involving student observation and documentation. The results show that the implementation of the ATIK model in imitating movements according to picture patterns revealed that 68.25% of children developed as expected (BSH), while 31.25% developed very well (BSB). Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the ATIK model effectively develops kinesthetic intelligence in kindergarten children and enhances their imagination.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a fundamental skill essential for facing the challenges of the 21st century, and should therefore be taught from an early age. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of project-based learning (PjBL) in improving critical thinking skills in elementary school students. The study was conducted in the form of a two-stage classroom action (CAR) project involving fifth-grade students. The results showed a significant increase in students' critical thinking skills, as evidenced by their ability to analyze, evaluate arguments, and solve problems. The implementation of PjBL has been shown to encourage independent learning and increase student active engagement during the learning process.
