Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the interpretation meaning behind “Kursi Goyang”, "Larasuka", and "Mangu" lyrics by Fortwnty in the Nalar album. This research used a semiotic analysis approach developed by Michael Riffaterre. This semiotics helps researcher to investigate the interpretive meanings of the lyrics of "Kursi Goyang", "Larasuka", and "Mangu". The research process involves four stages, (1) Heuristic and Hermeneutic Readings, (2) Matrices, Variants, and Models, (3) Hypograms, and (4) Indirect Expressions. This research used a qualitative interpretive. The research data were obtained from the lyrics. The data were collected using listening and note-taking technique. The results of the research are from hermeneutic reading in the lyrics “Kursi Goyang” is interpreted when someone is so focused on making money and thinks that happiness comes from having a lot of money and a high position that they forget to take a break. The results of the research are from hermeneutic reading in the lyrics “Larasuka” interpreted as how lonely someone feels, and from hermeneutic reading in the lyrics “Mangu” interpreted as a romantic relationship between individuals who have different religious beliefs. The finding revealed there are three factors that cause indirect expressions named displacing of meaning, distorting of meaning, and creating of meaning.

Abstract

In the current digital era, TV serial content has expanded from television to social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Popular YouTube content includes comedy dramas, including one channel named "Warintil". This content presents five main characters who play various roles in humorous everyday stories. However, although the primary goal of comedy content on YouTube is to entertain, it is important for such content to use proper Bahasa Indonesia. The aim of this research is to describe language errors in the YouTube content titled "Warintil-Ratu Gibah Comeback" in the field of phonology, identify the causes of language errors, and find possible solutions. A qualitative descriptive method is used in analyzing phonological errors in the Warintil YouTube content. The results of the research show that there are language errors in the field of phonology such as phoneme deletion with a total of 4 errors, phoneme substitution with a total of 5 errors, phoneme omission with a total of 4 errors, and irregular phoneme changes with a total of 1 error.

Abstract

The focus of this study is the errors in the clause usage in chapter one in student’s thesis majoring  Indonesian Language and Literature Education at Musamus University--"Character Analysis of the Main Character in the Film A Street Cat Named Bob by Rogers Spottiswoode" by Yolenta Oktovia Mahuze. This study aims to (1) analyze language errors in the field of clauses in the object of study (2) find out the factors that cause these errors (3) find out effective ways to reduce language errors. The author decided to choose descriptive qualitative method in conducting the research. The result of this analysis was there were some clause errors such as the addition of auxiliary verbs in equational clauses, ineffective sentences, and the omission of verbs in intransitive clauses. There were several factors that influence a person to make language mistakes; they were, the influence of the mother tongue (B1) which was too strong, the influence of the environment and habits, the use of inappropriate foreign terms, and the use of spelling that is not in accordance with the KBBI. However, to minimize this, expand language skills and build habitual language skills.

Abstract

The work of literature cannot be separated from human life. They are like two sides of a coin; one of the literature words that really sticks to human life is short story. Short story belongs to one type of proses. The present study aims to analyze the type of prhase in the short story entitled ‘Balikui’ by Putu Wijaya. the research method used was a qualitative approach, because research is carried out by identifying, analyzing and describing the data. The results of this research show that the phrases were 18 prepositional phrases; 17 noun phrases; 28 verb phrases; 2 numeral phrases; 4 adverb phrases and 2 adjective phrases. Therefore, the short story texts have many different types of phrases. It is hoped that this research can add insight, especially to novice writers who are about to write a work. This is also an effort to minimize the presence of words that do not have complete meaning and unstructured sentences

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji teks permintaan maaf publik Aldy Maldini yang disampaikan melalui media sosial dengan pendekatan linguistik forensik. Analisis difokuskan pada struktur wacana, bentuk tindak tutur, serta strategi kebahasaan seperti mitigasi dan face-saving yang digunakan untuk membangun citra penyesalan dan tanggung jawab. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teori linguistik forensic (Coulthard dan Johnson (2010)), tindak tutur Searle (1969), teori kesantunan Brown dan Levinson (1987), dan teori analisis wacana kritis Fairclough (1995). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permintaan maaf tersebut memuat tindak tutur ekspresif dan komisif yang dibingkai dengan strategi kesantunan negatif, seperti penggunaan bentuk pasif dan permintaan izin, untuk menurunkan ancaman terhadap muka publik. Di sisi lain, penggunaan ujaran yang bersifat ambigu dan tidak langsung, seperti “menyelesaikan semua urusan” atau “proses refund sedang berjalan”, menunjukkan adanya strategi pengaburan tanggung jawab secara linguistik. Dari perspektif linguistik forensik, teks ini memperlihatkan penggunaan bahasa sebagai alat negosiasi niat baik dan klarifikasi, sekaligus menjaga jarak dari potensi implikasi hukum. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa bahasa dalam permintaan maaf publik bukan hanya sarana ekspresi, tetapi juga perangkat strategis dalam pengelolaan citra dan konflik sosial di ruang digital.
