Abstract

Tingkat literasi bangsa Indonesia sangat rendah sehingga harus segera diatasi agar tidak semakin tertinggal dengan negara lain. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasinya adalah dengan mengajarkan literasi digital melalui permainan coding di kelas PAUD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis evaluasi terhadap konteks, input, proses dan produk dalam program pendidikan literasi digital di PAUD melalui permainan coding Robokids STEAM. Tahapan evaluasi program yang dilakukan yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan dan monitoring. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan evaluasi. Dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti mengunjungi langsung lokasi penelitian yaitu 15 sekolah TK  untuk melakukan pengamatan langsung terhadap anak-anak saat bermain Robokids STEAM di kelas, wawancara kepada guru terkait dengan objek penelitian dan mendokumentasikan pelaksanaan kegiatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam evaluasi program pendidikan literasi digital di PAUD melalui permainan coding Robokids STEAM memerlukan dasar kebijakan baik tingkat makro maupun meso, pelatihan untuk seluruh warga sekolah, dan bahan bacaan serta alat peraga atau permainan berbasis digital di kelas. Penelitian ini juga berkontribusi memperkenalkan Robokids STEAM sebagai permainan robotika untuk pembelajaran coding dan literasi digital di kelas anak usia dini

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan model kompetensi praktik pembelajaran profesional Pendidik PAUD di Desa Munding Kecamatan Bergas Kabupaten Semarang. HIMPAUDI sebagai salah satu bentuk komunitas belajar bekerja sama dengan tim dosen Universitas PGRI Semarang melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, mencoba memfasilitasi pendidik untuk memahami Capaian Pembelajaran khususnya literasi STEAM pada fase fondasi (PAUD). Berdasarkan hasil riset Sandholtz & Ringstaff (2011), masalah yang terjadi berkaitan dengan literasi STEAM antara lain: (1) Pendidik kurang memiliki pengetahuan konten STEAM yang memadai dan merasa tidak siap untuk mengajarkan konten STEAM, (2) Pendidik underestimate kemampuan anak usia dini pada kegiatan terintegrasi STEAM, (3) Pendidik tidak memberikan kegiatan yang menantang untuk anak berpikir dan terlibat dengan konten STEAM, tapi hanya sekedar hafalan. Namun, mulai tahun 2020 penerapan pendekatan STEAM pada jenjang PAUD di Indonesia masih dalam tahap perkembangan dan belum secara luas diterapkan di seluruh sekolah. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berupa inhouse training pendidik PAUD di Desa Munding, HIMPAUDI Desa Munding mengorganisir peserta termasuk alat dan bahan pelatihan, sedangkan Tim Dosen UPGRIS bertugas sebagai fasilitator dalam pelatihan. Peserta diajarkan bagaimana perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan STEAM sesuai dengan capaian pembelajaran di akhir fase fondasi (PAUD). Oleh karena itu, luaran yang diharapkan adalah pendidik PAUD memperoleh pemahaman bagaimana perencanaan dan pelaksanaan Pembelajaran dengan pendekatan STEAM.

Abstract

The use of multimedia learning media can be an effective means of improving the storytelling abilities of young children. By utilizing multimedia, children are not only actively involved in the learning process, but also develop creativity, imagination and speaking skills. Focusing on the needs and characteristics of children in the early stages of development is key in the process of developing learning media. This research aims to create interactive multimedia storytelling, specifically designed to improve storytelling skills in early childhood. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) research method by applying the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model to ensure success. development process. This multimedia storytelling is not only designed to provide an interesting and interactive learning experience, but also involves young children as test subjects. The research results show that there is success in developing multimedia storytelling in Sultan Fatah Demak Kindergarten class B aged 5-6 years through the CapCut application as an effective tool in facilitating multimedia learning. Abstract

Technology is critical in everyday life today, and many people use it to do various things, including education, to absorb information quickly and efficiently. However, with technological advances, many teachers still use guidebooks as a learning medium, sometimes dull children. This research aims to create exciting learning media for young children about recognizing wild animals. This media is expected to make children active and happy to learn. In addition, this research will guide educators in using multimedia media to make learning more enjoyable for children. Analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation are the five steps in the development or RD model. Validation questionnaires were given to the validators, teachers, and students of this study. Initial field trials of the product obtained an average of 65.54%, which is included in the feasible category. The second field trial of the product experienced a significant increase with an average of 95%, which was in the "Very feasible" category. The results of media trials have increased significantly because they are supported by learning media designed attractively and innovatively. The children were very enthusiastic about participating in teaching and learning activities. Thus, this multimedia-based learning media for recognizing wild animals is suitable for teaching early childhood. Kindergarten school teachers can use this media to introduce wild animals as a learning medium to support fun teaching and learning activities

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to conduct science experiments on floating, sinking and floating objects in liquid to support cognitive abilities in early childhood. By providing opportunities to experience and learn directly can develop a deeper understanding between theory and practice, opening space for creativity and problem solving. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, conducted at SPS Bambim As-Shafa Tasikmalaya. The data collection techniques used were the results of observation and documentation, then the collected data were analyzed by data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study showed that children were very enthusiastic and paid direct attention to the changes that occurred in the science experiments carried out. The materials used include tools and materials that are safe and simple and easily recognized by children in their environment. Experiments of floating, sinking and floating objects are science learning that can directly support children's cognitive abilities, triggering children to train their five senses, find and understand events from the symptoms of the objects tested.

Abstract

Abstract Through the character of discipline, children can learn the rules that exist in the family, school, and community environments. This study aims to analyze the application of the character value of discipline through the extracurricular activity of drum band at Semesta 3 Kindergarten B in Semarang. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The observation was carried out on 8 children, directly by observing the children's disciplined character through interactions between the teacher, the children and the trainer. Interviews were conducted with 1 drum band trainer and 4 classroom teachers. Interviews were conducted to find out how teachers discipline children. Documentation was carried out with notes, photos and videos. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's data analysis techniques, namely data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. Triangulation of sources, techniques and time is used to verify the accuracy of the information. From the results of the study, the application of the character value of discipline through extracurricular activities such as drum bands was obtained, (1) Teachers make children get used to being on time, (2) Teachers make children get used to tidying up, (3) Teachers make children get used to lining up in front of the class, (4) Teachers make children take turns when taking drums, (5) The coach makes the children get used to performing drum band movements simultaneously or in unison, (6) The teacher makes the children get used to listening to directions. The researchers' advice is directed at schools to keep innovating and emphasizing character values in every extracurricular activity at school.   Abstrak Melalui karakter disiplin, anak dapat mengetahui aturan yang ada dilingkungan keluarga, sekolah, maupun masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan nilai karakter disiplin melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler drumband di TK-B Semesta 3 Semarang. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Observasi dilakukan pada 8 anak, dilakukan secara langsung dengan melihat karakter disiplin anak melalui interaksi antara guru, anak dan pelatih. Wawancara dilakukakan dengan 1 pelatih drumband dan 4 guru kelas. Wawancara dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya guru dalam mendisiplikan anak. Dokumentasi dilakukan dengan catatan, foto serta video. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data Miles dan Huberman yaitu data collection, data reduction, data display dan conclusion drawing/verification. Triangulasi sumber, teknik dan waktu digunakan untuk memverifikasi keakuratan informasi. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh penerapan nilai karakter disiplin melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler drumband  seperti, (1) Guru membiasakan anak tepat waktu, (2) Guru membiasakan anak tidy up (3) Guru membiasakan anak baris di depan kelas, (4) Guru membiasakan anak bergiliran ketika mengambil drum, (5) Pelatih membiasakan anak melakukan gerakan drumband secara bersamaan atau serentak, (6) Guru membiasakan anak mendengarkan arahan. Saran peneliti ditujukan kepada sekolah agar tetap melakukan inovasi serta menekankan nilai-nilai karakter pada setiap kegiatan ekstrakulikuler disekolah. Abstract

The background of this study is children's speaking ability. Based on observations obtained: 1) Children are not yet able to answer simple questions given by the teacher. 2) Children feel embarrassed when speaking in front of their friends. 3) Children do not yet dare to express their ideas and opinions. This type of research uses Classroom Action Research. The data source of this study is based on informants and notes. The informants in this study were the principal and teachers of group A. The research subjects were 14 people. The data in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that through the use of the Conversation Method, it can stimulate children's speaking ability such as children being able to use simple sentences in interacting, children being able to repeat stories with simple sentences, children being able to express ideas well, children being able to answer questions, enrich vocabulary, and being able to carry out 2-3 commands in sequence correctly. The suggestion that can be conveyed is that the role of parents and teachers is very important for children's speaking ability, so appropriate stimulation is needed.

Abstract

The 21st century requires education to equip students not only with academic knowledge but also with such as innovation, productivity, reasoning, programming, data literacy, problem-solving, and critical thinking, to face the rapid global changes. This study aims to develop science inquiry skills from early childhood to support children in mastering the competencies needed in the 21st century. The research employed a descriptive qualitative design. Data were collected from 16 preschools through observations, interviews, and documentation. NVivo was used for data management and analysis. NVivo is a software application that assist researchers in organizing, analyzing, and visualizing qualitative data. The results reveal that coding games can foster seven core science inquiry skills: arguing based on existing evidence, identifying problems, analyzing and interpreting data, evaluating and communicating, planning and conducting investigations, asking questions, and constructing explanations. This research recommends that more preschools integrate coding games into their learning activities, as they can effectively enhance children’s science inquiry skills, which are essential for their future academic and professional success.
