Abstract

In this study, a simple, consumable water purification system with a photovoltaic (PV) solar domestic ac motor has been designed and implemented in the Karfati canteen, E Building, Campus A, Usakti. The single-phase ac pump motor, 135Watt is used to transfer water from the storage pool to the temporary storage tank and then filter it by gravity, it is flowed through the pipe to the clean water storage tank before being distributed to ten canteen kiosk. The optimum solar panel is chosen according to the calculation of the maximum power required by the motor. The energy needs of the pump motor have been provided from solar panels and batteries through an inverter. Fixed installation of solar PV panels on the roof of building E facing 15 degrees north to optimize radiation efficiency of the system. The selection of an inverter system that matches the characteristics of the ac pump engine is developed to ensure the supply of the ac pump motor when it is started safely. Optimization of the solar PV water pump system is equipped with an array of 2 2x150 Wp PV modules, 500 VA inverters, 100 Ah batteries to supply 135 W, 220V, 50Hz pump engine power to produce clean water around 1000 liters per day in the Karfati canteen.Dalam penelitian ini, sistem penjernihan air sederhana layak konsumsi dengan motor ac domestik tenaga photovoltaic (PV) surya telah dirancang dan diterapkan di kantin Karfati Gedung E, Kampus A, Usakti. Motor pompa ac satu fasa, 135Watt digunakan untuk memindahkan air baku dari kolam penampungan ke tangki penyimpanan sementara dan selanjutnya memfiltrasinya secara grafitasi dialirkan melalui pipa ke tangki penyimpanan air bersih sebelum didistribusikan ke sepuluh kiosk kantin. Panel surya optimum dipilih sesuai perhitungan daya maksimum yang dibutuhkan motor. Kebutuhan energi motor pompa telah disediakan dari panel surya dan baterai melalui inverter. pemasangan fix panel pv surya di atap gedung E menghadap utara 15 derajat untuk mengoptimalkan radiasi efisiensi sistem. Pemilihan system inverter yang sesuai karakteristik mesin pompa ac dikembangkan untuk menjamin suplai motor pompa ac saat diasut dengan aman. Optimalisasi sistem pompa air tenaga PV surya dilengkapi dengan array dari 2 modul pv 2x150 Wp, inverter 500 VA, baterai 100 Ah mencatu daya mesin pompa 135 W, 220V, 50Hz untuk memproduksi air bersih sekitar 1000 liter per hari di kantin Karfati. .

Abstract

The induction motor is one of the most important parts in the industrial world today, so if an induction motor is damaged it can affect the production process. Therefore, disturbances that exist in induction motors must be predicted or detected as early as possible. One of the causes of bearing damage is lack of lubrication which can cause an increase in motor temperature, noise, vibration and sparks which can cause damage to other parts of the induction motor. So the authors will conduct research using four different parameters namely starting current, vibration, and temperature on Air Compressor motors whose maintenance treatment in re-lubrication is carried out differently. In this study it was found that if the lubrication on the bearings is not maintained properly then the vibration value is very high at 23 to 24 mm/s, the starting current itself increases up to 8 times the nominal current where this can cause large voltage losses, the current is above the nominal current of the motor, which is 133% of the nominal current, with dry lubrication on the bearings of the induction motor, friction cannot be minimized so that the temperature of the motor increases where data is obtained on the temperature rise of the induction motor for 5 minutes the motor works at 74.3⁰ C and this can endanger the induction motor itself, it can be concluded that the lack of lubrication on induction motor bearings affects 4 parameters mentioned before. Abstract

Abstract Solar power plant is one of the developments in the use of renewable energy that has received government support through Ministerial Regulation No.49 of 2018 and Ministerial Regulation No.26 of 2021 regarding rooftop solar power plant. Based on the 2019 solar power plant roadmap draft, the investment cost of rooftop solar power plant per kWp is around 14-25 million rupiah, the amount of this investment is an important consideration for the community to install rooftop solar power plant. One alternative to reduce the investment cost of rooftop solar power plant is to reduce the capacity of the inverter by using lighting from DC lamps. This research was conducted by comparing the efficiency values and investment costs, and using the benefit-cost analysis method to compare a series of relevant costs and benefits between the use of DC lamps and AC lamps for household lighting using PLTS. The results of this research is that DC lamps have a light current of 280 – 350 lumens, an illumination intensity of 48 lux, and a PLTS system efficiency of 98,5% which is higher in value compared to AC lamps which have a light current of 250 lumens, an illumination intensity of 21 lux, and a PLTS system efficiency of 49,3% with the same lamp power of 3W. Analysis of the investment feasibility of on-grid and off-grid PLTS, both 2200VA and 900VA shows that the NPV is negative and the BCR value is less than 1, so the investment is not yet feasible. Abstract

Penyearah daya banyak digunakan dalam berbagai aplikasi industri yang memberikan suplai tegangan DC untuk berbagai jenis beban seperti proses milling menggunakan motor DC, sel elektrolisis, pelapisan logam, dan beban DC lainnya. Penyearah ini bertindak sebagai beban nonlinier yang menyuntikkan arus harmonisa ke listrik AC dengan banyak masalah dan dampak negatif pada jaringan utilitas dan beban itu sendiri, seperti meningkatkan kerugian, kesalahan pengukuran, kesalahan perangkat proteksi dan distorsi tegangan pada PCC yang mempengaruhi lainnya beban pada titik yang sama. Untuk alasan ini, banyak penelitian yang berfokus pada masalah ini dan bagaimana menguranginya. Dalam penelitian ini, pemodelan ideal simulasi dalam analisis awal rangkaian diambil untuk penyearah jembatan penuh dioda tiga fasa disuplai dari tegangan tiga fasa seimbang. Konverter 100 kVA, 400VDC juga untuk menghubungkan ke sistem tenaga listrik dengan transformator tiga fase 100 kVA, 20.000/400V. Sebuah beban resistif 100kVA dihubungkan ke sisi melalui reaktor penghalusan menunjukkan model yang digunakan untuk mensimulasikan beban nonlinier yang diteliti. Empat filter-single tuned dirancang untuk mengurangi harmonisa ke-5, ke-7 ke-11 dan ke-13. Namun, setelah pemasangan filter single-tuned ini muncul harmonisa urutan ke-17 dan ke-19 lebih besar dari harmonisa ke-5 dan ke-7. Untuk itu perlu ditambahkan tipe filter double-tuned untuk mengurangi harmonisa yang sama dan lebih besar dari harmonisa ke-13. Model berbasis MATLAB dengan Filter pasif tiga fase yang saat model dijalankan dengan beban pada kondisi sebelum dan setelah pemasangan filter harmonisa. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan arus dan tegangan sumber yang sama setelah penyaringan, menurunkan total distorsi harmonisa arus dari 18,30% menjadi 1,02% dan tegangan menurun dari 19,6%. menjadi 3,96% yang memenuhi standar internasional dan meningkatkan kualitas daya pada titik sambungan umum (point of common coupling, pcc) Kata kunci : Harmonisa, Transformator, point of common coupling

Abstract

Kehandalan suatu sistem tenaga listrik ditentukan juga oleh peralatan dalam sistem tenaga listrik. Salah satu peralatan sistem tenaga listrik yang sangat penting fungsinya adalah transformator yang digunakan untuk operasioal di Moda Raya Terpadu Jakarta yaitu Transformator berjenis kering. Penelitian yang dilakukan untuk menganalisis penyusutan umur, pengaruh beban terhadap masa pakai, besarnya efisiensi dan menganalisis pengaruh pembebanan yang berlangsung pada transformator kering di stasiun MRT Lebak Bulus dan stasiun MRT Fatmawati. Penelitian ini mencakup banyak metode penelitian dengan menghitung rasio pembebanan, suhu transformator, penyusutan umur selama 24 jam serta % susut umur transformator sehingga dapat diketahui hasil sisa umur transformator. Persentase pembebanan yang didaptkan distasiun MRT Lebak Bulus dengan hasil terendah hingga tertinggi mencapai 10,57% LWBP dan 16,64% WBP sedangkan persentase pembebanan stasiun MRT Fatmawati memiliki hasil lebih tinggi yaitu 9,95% LWBP dan 18,25% WBP. Hasil penyusutan umur Stasiun MRT Lebak Bulus sebesar 0,05925% dengan sisa usia pakai transformator kering selama 14,1945 tahun. Hasil penyusutan umur transformator kering pada stasiun MRT Fatmawati sebesar 0,06% dengan sisa usia transformator kering selama 14,19 tahun. Hasil perhitungan yang didapatkan yaitu Efisisensi pada transformator kering stasiun MRT Fatmawati lebih besar dengan hasil rata-rata 96,94% dan efisiensi yang didapat pada stasiun MRT Lebak Bulus adalah 96,99%.

Abstract

Switching inverter technology for converting DC to AC using Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs) has been implemented in the propulsion system of the Jakarta Metro. However, with advancements in power electronics, a newer technology—Silicon Carbide (SiC)—has emerged, offering the potential to reduce switching power losses by up to 30%. The effectiveness of this technology can be evaluated through simulations using MATLAB Simulink, enabling an assessment of its potential application in the Jakarta Metro system. By quantifying this efficiency gain, informed strategic decisions can be made regarding the adoption of SiC technology for DC to AC conversion, whether through the replacement of existing IGBT-based inverters or during the procurement of rolling stock for future phases. The evaluation will be conducted by simulating both existing IGBT parameters and proposed SiC device parameters under current traction motor operating conditions. This simulation aims to determine the output power required to drive the traction motor while maintaining alignment with the current train configuration. A comparative analysis of efficiency between the two technologies will form the basis of this thesis, providing insights into the feasibility and benefits of transitioning to SiC-based inverters for the Jakarta Metro.

Abstract

A milling process utilize DC motors and rectifier circuits. Semiconductor components in the rectifier circuit could cause harmonic distortion. At PT X, the voltage THD generated at the 6KV feeder panel has exceeded the standards set by the IEEE. This study aims to analyze the voltage THD caused by a controlled rectifier circuit and DC motors, and to design a filter to mitigate it. MATLAB software is used to analyze the THD voltage. From the simulation results, it is known that the 400KW, 450KW, and 600KW DC motors produce voltage THD values of 9.35%, 14.23%, and 12.28% respectively which exceed the set standards of 8%. A single-tuned passive filter is designed to reduce the THD voltage value on each motor. The installation of the filter effectively reduces the THD voltage value in the 400KW, 450KW, and 600KW DC motors to 4.34%, 5.38%, and 6.35% respectively.

Abstract

Electric bicycles are designed to use renewable energy to support the government's efforts to reduce carbon emission consumption. Problems in every region or city regarding fueled vehicles certainly increase air pollution. Generally, electric bicycles are designed to be a solution and are used in daily life to carry out daily activities by requiring a bicycle gas throttle control that can assist the driver or person in controlling the speed of the electric bicycle. In this study, designing a solar electric bicycle as environmentally friendly energy based on PWM signals to determine the duty cycle value or duty cycle with an optimized PWM value can affect the speed system (km / h) in Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) to determine the performance of the DC motor. The electric bicycle uses 30Wp solar power, two 12V 7.5 Ah batteries assembled in series, and a 24V 250W DC brushless motor. Based on the design results with a total weight of 37kg electric bicycle plus the weight of 55kg, 65kg, 75kg, and 85kg driver variations, the total controller power value is 163.44 watts. The results of duty cycle testing (duty cycle) were 25%, 50%, 75%, and 98%, with 249.9 as the maximum value of PWM and 9.8 Vout generated against the maximum speed of the electric bicycle of 2648 RPM or the equivalent of an electric bicycle speed of 18-28 km/hour. In this case, the electric bicycle is in a condition suitable for use to carry out daily activities by utilizing clean, cheap and appropriate energy

Abstract

Energi listrik merupakan kebutuhan primer yang vital dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu penggunaannya adalah untuk penerangan listrik, yang saat ini umumnya masih menggunakan sistem manual. Penerangan yang dinyalakan dan dimatikan secara manual oleh manusia berpotensi menimbulkan pemborosan listrik akibat kelalaian, dimana lampu sering kali dibiarkan menyala meski tidak ada aktivitas. Solusi dari permasalahan ini adalah sistem penerangan otomatis atau smart lighting. Penerapan smart lighting harus disesuaikan dengan kondisi ruangan; ruangan outdoor dan indoor memiliki pemicu nyala atau mati lampu yang berbeda. Dalam penelitian ini, dirancang dan dibuat prototipe smart lighting untuk kawasan perumahan di Bekasi, Indonesia. Sistem ini menggunakan kombinasi sensor cahaya untuk area outdoor dan sensor gerak untuk area indoor. Hal baru yang diusulkan adalah penggunaan kombinasi sensor cahaya dan sensor gerak untuk ruangan yang juga memanfaatkan sinar matahari sebagai sumber penerangan. Hasil pengujian prototipe menunjukkan bahwa lampu dapat dikontrol secara otomatis dengan sensor, sesuai dengan kondisi yang ditentukan.
