Abstract

The research objective was to identify and describe the role of the principal in improving the quality of Al-Wafi Qur'an Integrated Elementary School, Depok. Research using qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques with interviews, documentation, and observation. Data analysis techniques with reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Data validation techniques with transferability and dependability. The results of the study show: (1) The principal as an educator by fostering and guiding teachers and education. (2) The principal as a manager by managing the school. (3) The school principal acts as an administrator by managing school files. (4) The school principal acts as a supervisor with class, performance, and extracurricular supervision. (5) The principal as a leader by socializing the vision, and mission and creating a school climate (7) The principal as an entrepreneur by instilling an entrepreneurial spirit and marketing the school's flagship program.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri I Waru Pamekasan, dengan fokus pada bimbingan konseling untuk siswa yang sering merokok, meskipun sekolah telah melarangnya bersama dengan penggunaan HP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperluas pengetahuan penulis baik dalam teori maupun praktik, serta memberikan kontribusi dalam bidang bimbingan konseling di sekolah tersebut. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi peneliti lain yang tertarik pada topik serupa dengan aspek yang berbeda. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru bimbingan konseling dalam mengatasi siswa perokok di SMA Negeri I Waru Pamekasan melibatkan penggunaan angket. Angket ini berisi pertanyaan mengenai kegiatan siswa setelah pulang sekolah, kebiasaan di rumah, serta dampak negatif merokok terhadap kesehatan. Guru bimbingan konseling mengakui kesulitan dalam mengatasi siswa yang sudah kecanduan merokok

Abstract

Journal management training in higher education institutions is essential to enhance publication quality through a comprehensive understanding of peer review, ethics, technology, bibliometrics, management strategies, and case studies of successful journal practices. This training aims to build the capacity of journal managers at the Institut Agama Islam Pemalang to proficiently utilize Open Journal Systems (OJS) effectively, expedite the editorial process, and improve the overall quality of scientific journal management. The Journal Management Training was conducted on May 16–17, 2025, employing a Participatory Action Research approach with 12 participants divided into two classes, focusing on reviewers and OJS management, utilizing laptops and projectors. Reflective observations from practical sessions indicate that the journal managers at Institut Agama Islam Pemalang have developed a sound understanding of operating the Open Journal Systems platform. They demonstrated the ability to effectively perform various functions within the system, ranging from manuscript management to editorial processes. Moreover, the reviewers showed adequate comprehension in providing comments and feedback according to the journal template sequence established in OJS. In conclusion, the training successfully enhanced the human resource capacity in journal management, which is expected to support the smooth operation and quality of scientific journal publication.
