Abstract

Adolescence is an important period in the formation of a person's personality, where individuals tend to be easily influenced by the social environment including associations. Unhealthy associations have the potential to cause various problems such as peer pressure, low self-confidence, and the emergence of deviant behavior. This service activity aims to increase the awareness and understanding of Muhammadiyah 6 Samarinda Junior High School students regarding the importance of applying ethics in society through the provision of classical guidance services. The activity, which carries the theme "Ethics in Society: Fun Friends Are Not Toxic", was held for three days on May 14-16, 2025, with three main sessions lasting 150 minutes every day. The material provided includes the introduction of the concept of social ethics, identification of healthy and unhealthy associations, ethical values in Islam, and ethics of behavior on social media. Through participatory and reflective methods, students are invited to actively discuss, conduct social simulations, and reflect on the values learned. The results of the evaluation showed an increase in student understanding, changes in social attitudes, and openness in communicating with guidance and counseling teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance emotional regulation skills among orphanage children through a classical guidance approach based on dzikir (Islamic remembrance). Children living in orphanages often face limitations in emotional caregiving, which affects their affective balance. The activity was carried out in two face-to-face sessions at Rumah Harapan Orphanage in Samarinda, involving 15 children aged 8–12 years. The methods used included interactive lectures, group discussions, observations, games, and dzikir practices such as "Subhanallah", "Alhamdulillah", and "Astaghfirullah". The results indicated an increase in the children’s self-awareness and their ability to manage emotions through an Islamic spiritual approach. This classical guidance created a safe and educational space, actively engaging the children in understanding and applying dzikir as a positive self-regulation strategy.

Abstract

The mergence of COVID-19 in 2019–2022 has impacted social change in Indonesian society. The need to implement health protocols to prevent COVID-19 also has an impact on religious activities. For that reason, religious organisations such as Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah, which are agents of social change, play an active role in tackling this phenomenon. This research employs a qualitative, phenomenological approach. The Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Manager (PCNU) and the Muhammadiyah District Manager (PDM) of Balikpapan City, Paser District, and East Kutai District, along with religious figures, public figures, and communities in the three locations, serve as the primary data sources in this study. Gathering techniques through interviews. Data analysis techniques consist of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The research results revealed that the Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Manager (PCNU) and the Muhammadiyah District Manager (PDM) in the Eastern Kalimantan district continued to conduct limited face-to-face religious social activities while also increasing their use of Zoom and social media. In addition, the social programmes carried out by the PCNU and the PDM collaborated with the government and MUI, including vaccination programmes, socio-economic assistance, and the development of health protocols in even cross-religious communities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi dari feminist therapy dalam pemberdayaan perempuan dewasa yang menjadi korban KDRT di UPTD PPA Kota Samarinda. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data penelitian ini diperoleh dari kepala UPTD PPA, psikolog remaja dewasa, dan staf penanganan kasus. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa kasus Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga (KDRT) masih marak terjadi dikalangan masyarakat. Budaya patriarki yang masih melekat dimasyarakat membuat perempuan masih rentan menjadi korban KDRT. Feminist therapy mempunyai beberapa teknik atau startegi dalam menangani korban KDRT terkhususnya perempuan dewasa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa, pelaksanaan feminist therapy dapat dilakukan dalam proses konseling dengan memberikan penyadaran terkait kesetaraan gender dan juga pemberdayaan pada korban sehingga menciptakan perubahan konsep berpikir yang lebih positif bahwa klien harus berdaya dan tidak mudah dipermainkan begitu saja oleh pelaku. Abstract

This community service project responded to the psychological and spiritual challenges faced by female dormitory students at UINSI Samarinda, who often experience inner conflicts while living on campus. The initiative employed the Islamic concept of Tazkiyatun Nafs, integrating muhasabah therapy and narrative therapy within a large-group guidance format. The program aimed to help participants identify, accept, and manage inner emotional pressures through self-reflection and expressive writing. It was conducted in two sessions with 62 participants. Evaluation tools included pre-tests, post-tests, observation sheets, and immediate assessments. Results demonstrated increased self-awareness, emotional openness, and active engagement. Participants also showed a transformation in interpreting personal experiences and committed to enhancing social relationships. These findings indicate that large-group guidance based on Tazkiyatun Nafs, incorporating muhasabah and narrative therapy, is instrumental in enhancing both psychological and spiritual resilience. This model can serve as an Islamic values–based intervention to support student mental health in dormitory settings.
