Abstract

Helicobacter pylori adalah bakteri gram negatif berbentuk spiral yang menjadi penyebab gastritis superficialis kronis, yang kemudian berkembang menjadi adenocarcinoma gaster. Terapi yang saat ini digunakan adalah kombinasi Amoksilin-Klaritromisin yang berkerja bersama merusak dinding sel bakteri dan mengganggu proses sintesa proteinnya. Karena tingginya tingkat kegagalan terapi, maka muncul alternatif terapi yaitu penambahan asam askorbat, yang diduga bekerja dengan merubah pH lingkungan dan antioksidan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuktikan efektifitas penambahan asam askorbat pada kombinasi Klaritromisin dan Amoksilin. Penelitian eksperimental eksploratif ini dilakukan di Unit Riset Biomedik RSUD Mataram, bulan September 2007. Subyek penelitian adalah biakan Helicobacter pylori di BAP dalam kondisi mikroaerofilik. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Data yang diambil adalah diameter zona inhibisi yang terbentuk pada biakan, dengan metode uji difusi cawan, menggunakan kombinasi Amoksilin 10 µg dan Klaritromisin 5 µg, sebagai kontrol, sedangkan perlakuan digunakan Amoksilin 10 µg dan Klaritromisin 5 µg ditambah asam askorbat dosis 31,5 µg , 62,5 µg , 125 µg , 250 µg , dan 500 µg. Dianalisa menggunakan ANOVA, Uji Duncan dan Uji Korelasi Regresi. Hasil penelitian membuktikan penambahan asam askorbat pada kombinasi amoksilin-klaritromisin bisa meningkatkan diameter zona inhibisi (p= 0,029), sedangkan KHM penambahan asam askorbat adalah 125 µg. Uji korelasi regresi menunjukkan hubungan lemah penambahan asam askorbat dengan peningkatan diameter zona inhibisi (r2=0,259). Kesimpulannya penambahan asam askorbat pada kombinasi Amoksilin – Klaritromisin dapat meningkatkan diameter zona inhibisi dan Kadar Hambat Minimum penambahan asam askorbat pada dosis 125 µg.

Abstract

Advanced Glycation Endproducts (AGEs) or so-called glycotoxin can be triggered by heated food in which the Maillard reaction occurs. One type of glycotoxins is CML. Accumulated N-Carboxymethyl-Lysine (CML) can cause inflammation of organs, e.g. liver. Rosella flowers contain anthocyanin compound that has anti-glycation and antioxidant effects. This study aimed to determine the effect of ethanol extract of Rosella on CML serum level, IL-6 level, and NF-ƙB activation in the liver of mice fed with baked food. This study used post-test design using 25 Wistar rats aged 3-4 months old that were divided into 5 groups, namely negative control group, positive control group, treatment groups given Rosella extract dose of 200mg.kgBW-1, 300mg.kgBW-1, and 400mg.kgBW-1. Baked feed was given for 12 weeks, and Rosella ethanol extract was administered in the 9th to 12th week. The examination on CML serum and IL-6 of the liver was using ELISA method. Immunofluorescent staining was used to determine NF-ƙB activation in the liver using a confocal microscope. CML serum is proven to increase significantly (p = 0.000). The effective dose of Rosella flower extract to prevent CML Serum increase is 200 mg.kgBW-1, whereas a dose of 400 mg.kgBW-1 can decrease IL-6 level and NF-ƙB activation. Ethanol extract of Rosella flower decrease the levels of N-carboxymethyl-lysine serum, IL-6, and NF-ƙB activation in the liver of rats given baked-food diet. Abstract

The food processing by heating can increase the formation of AGEs (Advanced Glycation End Products). AGEs are compounds that formed from a non-enzymatic continuous glycation reaction between proteins and sugar residues. The CML (N-carboxymethyl-lysine) is used as a marker for AGEs cause most commonly found in vivo. The bond of AGEs and RAGE (receptor for AGEs) induce various signaling pathways that trigger inflammation and increase oxidative stress. The AGE and RAGE interaction activate the transcription factor of NF- κβ. NF- κβactivates gene transcription to release proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α. Anthocyanins are compounds that can prevent the formation of AGEs and muffle the adverse effects of AGEs. Rosella contains anthocyanin such as: delphinidin-3-O-glucoside, delphinidin-3-O-sambubioside, and cyanidin-3-O-sambubioside. This study is to determine whether the daily intake of Rosella extract can reduce the levels of n-carboxymethyl-lysine in serum, expression of NF-κβ and TNF α in the rats fed with heated food. This study applied experimental post test control using Rattus norvegicus Wistar strain. The samples were divided into 5 groups: KN (negative control/fed without heating), KP (positive control/fed heated food but not treated by Rosella extract), R1 (fed heated food and treated by 200 mg.kg-1BW Rosella extract), R2 (fed heated food and treated by 300 mg.kg-1BW Rosella extract), and R3 (fed heated food and treated by 400 mg.kg-1BW Rosella extract). The n-carboxymethyl-lysine levels were measured by using the ELISA, the expression of NF-κβ is analyzed by using immunofluorescence, and expression of TNF - α is observed by immunohistochemistry. There was significantly decreased the levels of n-carboxymethyl-lysine in all groups which were treated by Rosella extracts (R1,R2,R3); p= 0.000, α = 0.05 (p< α). Decreased activation of NF-κβ in all groups which were treated by Rosella extract is significant (p = 0.000), and decreased expression of TNF α in all groups which were treated by Rosella extract is also significant (p = 0.000). Rosella extract can reduce the levels of n-carboxymethyl-lysine, expression of NF-κβ, and TNF α. Keywords: AGEs, anthocyanin, Rosella flower extract, n-carboxymethyl-lysine, NF-κβ, TNF α.

Abstract

Heated food is a source of formation of various types of Advanced Glycation Endproducts (AGEs). One of which is N-carboxymethyl-lysine (CML) that is often used as a sign of the formation of AGEs in the diet. The accumulation of AGEs in the brain can trigger neurodegenerative conditions. It also accelerates the accumulation of Amyloid β and proinflammatory cytokines which exacerbate neurodegeneration. Hibiscus sabdariffa L or rosella known to have antiglycation, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects. This study aims to prove the effect of food heating to the increasing levels of CML serum and evaluate the effects of daily intake of Rosella extract IL-6 levels and Amyloid β in the Wistar rats' brain given a diet high of AGEs. This experimental study with post test only control group design was conducted using 25 white male rats Wistar strain (Rattus novergicus) which were divided into 5 groups namely positive control, negative control, the treatment group with rosella dose 200mg.kgBW-1, 300mg.kgBW-1, and 400mg.kgBW-1. The high diets of AGEs are given for 12 weeks, and it was added to the rosella extract with various doses on the 9th to 12th weeks. The examination of CML serum level, interleukin 6 brain level, and Amyloid β of the brain was carried by ELISA. This study found differences between CML serum level of rats which fed a standard diet and the one that was given a heated diet (p= 0.0001). It also found that rosella flower extract can prevent the increasing levels of interleukin 6 and Amyloid β in the brain tissue of rats which were given a heated diet, and both effective doses were on 200mg.kgBW-1. Abstract

Masalah keselamatan kerja di Indonesia telah lama mendapat perhatian dan dukungan dari pemerintah sejak ditetapkannya Undang-Undang Keselamatan Kerja Nomor 1 Tahun 1970. Bahkan sejak tahun 1993, keselamatan kerja telah ditingkatkan untuk mencapai kecelakaan nihil (zero accident) pada setiap proses produksi.  Setiap pekerjaan selalu mengandung potensi risiko bahaya dalam bentuk kecelakaan kerja, besarnya potensi kecelakaan dan penyakit akibat kerja tergantung dari jenis produksi, teknologi yang dipakai, bahan yang digunakan, tata ruang dan lingkungan serta kualitas manajemen dan tenaga pelaksana. Maka dari itu pelaksanaa K3 (Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja) sangat penting diterapkan dalam berbagai jenis pekerjaan untuk mengurangi atau bahkan meniadakan potensi risiko bahaya yang berakibat keceelakaan. Oleh karena itu, pihak pengabdi bermaksud untuk mengadakan pengabdian pada CV.AVN dengan judul “Edukasi tentang Manajemen Risiko Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja di CV.AVN General Contractor” untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat, khususnya pihak manajemen dan pegawai CV.AVN. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pre dan post test. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan ada peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebelum diberi penyuluhan sebesar 49,33 dan setelah diberikan penyuluhan sebesar 79. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan nilai p value < 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan penyuluhan. Kesimpulan kegiatan ini adalah pmberian edukasi melalui penyuluhan sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan karyawan dan pihak manajemen CV.AVN General Contractor tentang pentingnya Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja.

Abstract

Purpose: To ensure the safety and health of tourists. They also play a role in maintaining the security of tourists in the area. In addition, the accompanying medical team can also provide health services such as light health checks, simple medical procedures, and providing health information to tourists. Methodology: The target is foreign students who are on holiday in Bromo, with the criteria of students taking comparative studies at Malang State University and attending Malang. This will make it easier for the medical team to provide emergency medical care if there are tourists who need it. This aims to monitor the health of tourists and provide first aid if there are tourists who need it. Must-have medical equipment such as defibrillators, oxygen, resuscitation equipment, and so on. This can include how to manage common health symptoms and steps to prevent disease. Results: Several cases were encountered in the health assistance, namely: bruises (contusions), cramps and bleeding. Overall tourists can return to health and return from Bromo without any comorbidities. Conclusion: Traveling to the mountains can cause serious injury if proper precautions are not taken. In addition, it is important to follow the guidelines given by experienced climbers, avoid trails that are too dangerous, and not take excessive risks when doing activities on the mountain. With proper preparation and wise precautions, we can reduce the risk of injury and enjoy a safe and enjoyable mountain travel experience.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of variations in training in the form of IPPON in improving the physical condition (balance, strength and flexibility) of members of the extracurricular Ju-jitsu Dojo SMK Cendika Bangsa Kepanjen, Malang Regency. The study design used was the one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was 20 people and sampling used purposive sampling technique and a sample of 17 respondents were obtained who participated in the research. The independent variable is IPPON, the dependent variable is physical condition (balance, strength and flexibility). The results of the paired t-test prove that the IPPON variable has no significant influence on the balance variable with a significance result of 0.818 (P Value > 0.05) with an average pre-test of 20.38 and post-test of 19.56, while in the strength variable there is significant influence with a significance result of 0.000 (P value > 0.05) with a pre-test average of 29.18 and post-test 35.12, for the flexibility variable there is also a significant influence with a significance result of 0.000 (P value > 0.05 ) with an average pre-test of 14.56 and post-test of 18.53.

Abstract

Triglycerides are fats carried by the lipoprotein system located in the blood, are the main cause of arterial diseases and are usually compared with cholesterol using lipoprotein electrophoresis. Triglycerides consist of glycerol linked to fatty acid groups. The High Intensity Interval Training method is a sport designed to increase metabolism and burn body fat so as to balance triglyceride levels in the body. This exercise is often included in training programs for long-distance runners. This study aims to obtain information about the effect of the High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) exercise on the interval running model on triglyceride levels in PASI Athletes in Malang City. The research method and design used was an experiment in the form of the one group pretest-posttest design, namely recording the results of triglyceride levels before HIIT training and after HIIT training. This study involved 8 long-distance runners whose blood was taken from the cubital vein before the HIIT treatment. The design of this study was initiated by screening all research subjects according to predetermined inclusion criteria. And all subjects were instructed to fill out a willingness form (informed consent) then proceed with taking a blood sample before the HIIT exercise treatment of ± 10 µL. After taking blood, the HIIT training program is continued with an interval running model, namely by running fast for 2 minutes, then walking for 2 minutes, doing 10 repetitions. After completing the HIIT training treatment, all subjects took blood again as much as ± 10 µL. When all subjects' blood samples have been taken, it is followed by laboratory tests in the clinical pathology laboratory, Faculty of Medicine, Brawijaya University. The results of the study by conducting a paired sample T-test were used to analyze the data obtained with a significant (2-tailed) value of 0.938 greater than the p value of 0.05 (0.938> 0.05) indicating H0 was accepted and Ha was rejected which means that HIIT training has no significant effect on the leukocyte levels of PASI Athletes in Malang City. So it can be concluded that HIIT training has no effect on increasing leukocyte levels in PASI Athletes running long distances in Malang City. The conclusion in this study was that the HIIT training provided had no significant effect on the amount of triglycerides after and after exercise. Triglyceride levels in long-distance runners are at normal levels. This is because there has been regular practice given by the coach as preparation for the match.

Abstract

As a fast-paced sport, badminton necessitates quick reflexes and agility on the court in order to hold and drop the shuttlecock into the opposing court. The goal of this research was to see how students in the badminton club at St. Albertus Catholic High School in Malang responded to shadow training to improve their agility. The research employed a pre-experimental strategy, specifically, a one-group pre-post test layout. There were two meetings per week for a total of eight weeks during this study. In order to get in shape, try this 6-point shadow training program. The shadow test was used as the instrument to gauge agility in this research. The t-test for paired samples was used to analyze the data in this study. The significance level of 0.000 for the t-test hypothesis test with paired samples t-test analysis is lower than the conventional threshold of 0.05. As a result, we can conclude that H1 is true and H0 is false. Students participating in badminton as an extracurricular activity at St. Albertus Catholic High School in Malang found that shadow training significantly improved their agility.

Abstract

Karate is a branch of achievement sports that has a Kumite competition number. There are two athletes in the Kumite category in a karate match who face each other and must have agility when attacking and defending. The purpose of this study was to understand the effect of combination training of Shuttle Run and Zig-zag Run on the agility of male and female karate athletes at State University of Malang. This pre-experimental study used the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population used was karate athletes at Malang State University with a total of 24 samples divided into male athletes and female athletes. The agility of karate athletes was assessed using the Illinois agility test at the pretest and post-test. Based on the analysis of the Paired Samples T Test, it showed that the combined Shuttle Run and Zig-zag Run exercises had a significance = 0.00 (p 0.05) for male athletes, while a significance value = 0.00 (p 0.05) for female athletes. Based on the findings of this study, the combined training of Shuttle Run and Zig-zag Run is effective in increasing the agility of male and female karate athletes at the State University of Malang
