Abstract

Mangunharjo is an isolated area located in Northern Coast of Java. where most residents are fishermen. There are various dimensions of poverty of the residents, among others are social, economic cultural and institutional. Several factors which contribute to She poverty are natural conditions, technology (fishing gears), education level, pattern of life, marketing and government programs which do not favor them. There are four integrations to solve this problem namely infersectors, expertise and knowledge, multi problem solving and also location integration.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan berbagai jenis makroalga di Pantai Sepanjang, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Pantai Sepanjang, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta pada bulan Agustus 2020. Jenis makroalga yang ditemukan pada saat penelitian antara lain Ulva lactuca, Palmaria palmata, Sargassum crassifolium, Gelidium spinosum, Gelidiella acerosa, dan Gracilaria verrucosa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif eksploratif. Pengambilan sampel makroalga dilakukan secara purposive sampling meliputi bagian timur, tengah dan barat Pantai Sepanjang. Analisis aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl). Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa potensi aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi terdapat pada Gelidiella acerosa yang berada di bagian tengah Pantai Sepanjang dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 22,407 g/ml. This research aimed to analyze antioxidant activities from various types of macroalgae. Sample collection was taken at Sepanjang Beach, Gunungkidul District, Yogyakarta in August 2020. Various types of macroalgae were found are: Ulva lactuca, Palmaria palmata, Sargassum crassifolium, Gelidium spinosum, Gelidiella acerosa, and Gracilaria verrucosa. A method of descriptive exploratory was used in this research. Macroalgae samples were collected by purposive sampling from the eastern, central and western area of Sepanjang Beach. Antioxidant activities were carried out using DPPH method. The results showed that fresh Gelidiella acerosa which is located in the middle of Sepanjang Beach, has the highest antioxidant activities with IC50 value 22.407 g ml-1.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan fitokimia pada berbagai jenis makroalga di Pantai Jungwok, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Pantai Jungwok, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Materi penelitian ini adalah makroalga (Ulva sp., Gracillaria sp., dan Boergesenia sp). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel makroalga menggunakan purposive sampling. Lokasi pengambilan sampel makroalga berada di bagian timur, tengah dan barat Pantai Jungwok. Analisis skrining fitokimia dilakukan dengan uji kualitatif. Analisis skrining alkaloid menggunakan metode Culvenor Fitzgerald, sedangkan untuk steroid dan terpenoid menggunakan metode Liebermann-Buchard Test, pada fraksi air yang terbentuk dilanjutkan dengan uji flavonoid, fenolik dan safonin. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sampel segar makroalga jenis Gracilaria sp., yang berada di bagian tengah Pantai Jungwok paling banyak mengandung senyawa bioaktif seperti alkaloid, terpenoid dan flavonoid. The objective of this research was to identify the content of phytochemical in various types of macroalgae at Jungwok Beach, Gunungkidul District, Yogyakarta. This research was conducted at Jungwok Beach, Gunungkidul District, Yogyakarta. The material of this research were macroalgae (Ulva sp., Gracillaria sp., and Boergesenia sp.). This method of research used survey with a qualitative approach. The technique of collecting data was done through purposive sampling. The macroalgae samples were collected from the eastern, central and western part of Jungwok Beach. The phytochemical tests were carried out using qualitative test. Alkaloid screening analysis using the Culvenor Fitzgerald method, while for steroids and terpenoids using the Liberman Buchard Test method, the formed water fraction is followed by flavonoid, phenolic and safonin tests. The results showed that fresh sample of the macroalgae type Gracilaria sp., which is located in the middle of Jungwok Beach, contains the most bioactive compounds such as alkaloids, terpenoids and flavonoids.

Abstract

Kawasan pariwisata Pantai Depok dewasa ini mulai dikenal luas oleh masyarakat. Selama ini tempat wisata ini dikenal dengan wisata kulinernya. Sumber daya alam pesisir dan laut yang ada di Pantai Depok beragam baik itu sumber daya hayati maupun sumber daya non hayati. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merumuskan strategi pengembangan pariwisata berbasis sumber daya alam pesisir dan laut di Pantai Depok. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik Rapid Rural Apraisal digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Keberagaman sumber daya alam pesisir dan laut dapat menjadi salah satu daya tarik wisata baru di Pantai Depok. Salah satunya adalah dengan pengolahan produk hasil kelautan. Produk tersebut perlu dimaksimalkan agar produk tersebut memiliki nilai tambah dan nilai jual yang tinggi. Pengolahan produk hasil kelautan ini dapat dijadikan sebagai produk unggulan baru yang mendukung kegiatan pariwisata di Pantai Depok.Title: Develompment Strategy of Tourism Activity Base on Coastal and Marine Resources in Depok Beach, Daerah Istimewa YogyakartaDepok Beach tourism area today is becoming widely known by the public. One of them is the processing of marine products. The product needs to be maximized so that the product has added value and high selling value. Processing of marine products can be used as a new flagship product that supports tourism activities in Depok Beach..

Abstract

Evaluation of nitrate and phosphate content in seawater of Jungwok Beach, Gunungkidul District, Yogyakarta, was the aim of this study. The method used was a survey with a quantitative approach. Sampling in the eastern, central and western regions of Jungwok Beach was carried out using a purposive sampling technique using line transects. At each site, there were three sampling points with distances of 0 meters, 5 meters and 10 meters from the coastline. One liter of water sample (at each point) was stored in polyethylene bottles. Nitrate and phosphate content analysis was conducted at the Laboratory of the Center for Environmental Health and Disease Control Engineering (BBTKLPP : Laboratorium Balai Besar Teknik Kesehatan Lingkungan dan Pengendalian Penyakit) Yogyakarta. Measurement of temperature, DO, pH and salinity were done in situ using the AZ8603 water quality monitor meter. The results showed that the nitrate concentration in Jungwok Beach ranged from 2.85 to 8.82 mg / l, while the phosphate ranged from 0.00 to 0.50 mg / l. Based on these results, the waters of Jungwok Beach are classified as mesotrophic to eutrophic waters. Overall the results of nitrate and phosphate have exceeded sea water quality standards for marine biota in the Decree of the Minister of Environment No. 51 of 2004 amounting to 0.008 mg / l and 0.015 mg / l. In situ measurement results showed that temperature, pH, DO and salinity at Jungwok Beach were respectively around 30.67 ± 0.93-32.20 + 0.62oC; 9.14 ± 0.29-9.29 ± 0.13; 8.00 ± 1.41-8.93 ± 1.19 mg / l and 34.83 ± 0.46-35.10 ± 0.10 ppt.

Abstract

Metal salvage and theft activities have eliminated most shipwrecks at Nusa Island, and exposed shipwrecks in Gosong Gili, Bawean Island. In order to give recommendations for its conservation efforts, this study aims to identify the remaining shipwrecks or exposed shipwrecks at Nusa Island and Gosong Gili, and the types of corals and fishes in it. This study aims to prove that shipwrecks or exposed shipwrecks is not only having historical and economical value, but also ecological value for the survival of coral reef ecosystem. This is a descriptive-explorative research, data were gathered by underwater survey using GPS Map Sounder, and SCUBA diving. Shipwrecks at Nusa Island is only 30% left in fragmented form of mast, machine, boiler, propeller, ivory vessel, and bricks in the bow area. While the exposed shipwrecks at Gosong Gili is only 20% left in fragmented form boilers, machine, and ivory vessel that might be a cultural heritage according to the UU RI Number 11 of 2010 on Cultural Heritage. At Nusa Island, the corals are consisted of Poritidae and Acroporidae families, and various species reef fishes. While at Gosong Gili, there are more coral families including Merulinidae, Poritidae and Acroporidae, but their reef fishes species are fewer than Nusa island.

Abstract

Pantai Sepanjang di Kabupaten Gunungkidul memiliki kegiatan pariwisata yang menyebabkan produksi sampah plastik. Mikroplastik akan berdampak buruk bagi biota, manusia, dan lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui jenis, jumlah dan sebaran mikroplastik di Pantai Sepanjang. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi atau survei lapangan. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan secara purposive sampling sebanyak 9 titik sampling. Sampel sedimen diambil menggunakan pipa paralon 4inch pada kedalaman 10-15 cm. Tahap pengumpulan data meliputi pengeringan, pemisahan sedimen, pembuatan supernatan, penyaringan dan identifikasi jenis mikroplastik menggunakan mikroskop binokuler dengan perbesaran 10x. Analisis data dilakukan secara statistik dan spasial. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji regresi dan korelasi antara jarak pengambilan sampel dan jumlah mikroplastik. Analisis spasial menggunakan software GIS untuk menghasilkan peta sebaran mikroplastik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 4 jenis mikroplastik di Pantai Sepanjang, antara lain fiber, film, fragmen, dan pelet. Jumlah mikroplastik tertinggi adalah jenis fiber sebanyak 60 partikel/gr di titik C. Hasil analisis regresi dan korelasi tertinggi terdapat pada jenis fragmen dengan nilai R2 = 0,27, yang menunjukkan hubungan antara jarak pengambilan sampel dan jumlah mikroplastik lemah. Hasil analisis spasial menunjukkan bahwa sebaran mikroplastik di Pantai Sepanjang dominan ke arah barat, dan semakin ke arah barat maka jenis mikroplastik semakin beragam. Sepanjang Beach at Gunungkidul District have tourism activities that led to plastic waste production. The microplastic will be considered harmful to biota, human, and environment. This study aims to identify the various types, numbers and distributions of microplastic at Sepanjang Beach. The method used in the study was a survey method. The research locations were determined by site survey using purposive sampling with 9 sample points. The sediment sample collection was conducted by using the PVC pipes 4inch in depth of 10-15 cm. The data collection step is drying, sediment separation, making of the supernatant, filtration, and identification using a binocular microscope with the 10x zoom. The analysis of data was conducted statistically and spatially. The statistical analysis was done by using the regression and correlation analysis between sampling distance and number of microplastics. The spatial analysis was done by using GIS software to create the map of microplastic distribution. The result showed that 4 types of microplastics at Sepanjang Beach were fiber, films, fragments, and pellets. The highest number of microplastics were fiber with 60 particles/gram in the sampling location of C. The highest of regression and correlation analysis were fragments with the value of R2 = 0,27, that indicated the weak correlation between sampling distance and number of microplastics. The spatial analysis showed that distribution of microplastics at Sepanjang Beach were dominant to the west, and the further to the west area, the type of microplastics were more diverse.

Abstract

Penyu merupakan salah satu spesies langka yang sekarang keberadaanya terancam punah, sehingga perlu dilestarikan untuk keberlajutan populasi penyu. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kondisi penangkaran penyu, mengetahui jenis penyu, mengetahui pengelolaan konservasi penyu di Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan data yaitu dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada 4 jenis penyu yang mendarat di Pesisir Selatan Kabupaten Kulon Progo, Kondisi sarana dan prasarana penangkaran penyu cukup memadai meskipun masih ada beberapa fasilitas penangkaran penyu yang rusak dan perlu diperbaiki, kemudian untuk kegiatan pengelolaan konservasi penyu dapat dimulai dari kegiatan monitoring pantai, penyelamatan telur penyu, pembesaran atau pemeliharaan tukik dan pelepasan tukik.

Abstract

Permukiman Pantai Samas berpotensi dipengaruhi oleh berbagai aktivitas masyarakat antara lain aktivitas pariwisata, pertanian dan perikanan. Kondisi permukiman menjadi sangat dinamis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) untuk melakukan penilaian kondisi kawasan permukiman pesisir di wilayah Pantai Samas dan 2) untuk menyusun rekomendasi penanganan kawasan permukiman Pantai Samas. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui diskusi kelompok terarah, wawancara mendalam dengan informan kunci, dan survey lapangan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data sekunder diperoleh dari studi literatur dan kajian serupa sebelumnya yang sudah dilakukan. Data yang telah dikumpulkan selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua wilayah RT masuk kedalam kategori kumuh. Terdapat tiga RT yang masuk dalam kategori kumuh rendah, dengan nilai yang cukup rendah. Permasalahan utama penyebab kekumuhan adalah kondisi jalan lingkungan yang rusak, tidak adanya saluran drainase dan belum adanya sistem hidran umum sebagai mitigasi kebakaran. Rekomendasi penangan rendah untuk melakukan perbaikan jalan lingkungan dan pembangunan saluran drainase dan sistem hidran umum.
