Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the financial management capacity of the Nutrition Management Service Unit (SPPG) Tanjungkerta Suryalaya in managing budgets and operational costs of the Free Nutritious Meal Program. The partner faced several challenges, including the absence of systematic budgeting, inconsistent financial recordkeeping, and limited understanding of financial transparency and accountability. The program was implemented using a participatory approach consisting of socialization, financial management training, hands-on practice in budget preparation and simple financial recording, and evaluation. The training was conducted through face-to-face sessions involving core administrators, treasurers, and operational staff of SPPG. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding and skills in preparing activity-based budgets, recording daily financial transactions, and separating program finances from personal finances. In addition, the program produced supporting documents such as draft budgets, simple cash book formats, and basic financial report templates that can be sustainably applied. It can be concluded that this community service activity strengthens financial transparency and accountability and supports the sustainability of the Free Nutritious Meal Program as part of efforts to improve community nutrition services.

Abstract

Sound financial management remains a persistent challenge among food market traders in Indonesia, where limited financial knowledge and underdeveloped spiritual self-regulation often coexist. Drawing on data from 30 purposively selected traders at Pasar Ciawi, Tasikmalaya Regency, this study examines how financial literacy and tasawuf values —two theoretically distinct yet practically interrelated constructs— shape traders' financial behavior. A quantitative survey design was adopted, employing a five-point Likert instrument validated through Pearson correlation (r-table = 0.361) and assessed for internal consistency via Cronbach's Alpha. Multiple linear regression served as the primary analytical tool. Findings reveal that financial literacy exerts a pronounced positive effect on financial behavior (β = 0.703; t = 9.472; p < .001), whereas tasawuf values fall short of statistical significance at the partial level (β = −0.056; t = −0.702; p = .488).

Abstract

This community service activity focuses on financial management mentoring and business feasibility analysis for the hydroponic greenhouse enterprise at Pesantren Suryalaya, Tasikmalaya. The approach used was participatory mentoring, in which the team worked directly with greenhouse managers to review and analyze the financial records of the first production cycle. The mentoring process covered cost structure analysis, cost of goods sold (COGS/HPP) calculation, investment amortization, and marketing channel evaluation. The analysis revealed that the cost structure in the first cycle was dominated by one-time infrastructure investment, while recurring operational costs per cycle were relatively manageable. Managers were assisted in understanding that profitability in subsequent cycles is highly dependent on operational cost efficiency and pricing strategy improvements. As an output, participants were able to prepare a structured financial report and understand the financial position of their enterprise more clearly. This activity contributes to strengthening financial management practices and the long-term sustainability of the pesantren-based hydroponic business.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve digital-based agricultural product marketing capacity for farmer groups in Tasikmalaya Regency. The main problems faced by partner farmers are limited market access, lack of knowledge about digital marketing, and insufficient ability to utilize agricultural e-commerce platforms. The methods used include extension, practical training, and intensive mentoring for four months. The target was 45 farmers from three villages, namely Hegarwangi Village (Bantarkalong District), Wangunsari Village (Bantarkalong District), and Girijaya Village (Bojongasih District). The results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge of digital marketing (average pretest score 42.3 increased to 78.6 on posttest), and an increase in the number of farmers who successfully utilized digital platforms for product marketing by 68%. Average farmer income increased by 32% during the mentoring period. This activity is recommended to be expanded to other villages in Tasikmalaya Regency.
