Abstract

Purpose-This study aims to investigate the level of high school students' critical thinking skills in physics learning by incorporating local wisdom. It highlights the significance of integrating cultural context into science education to enhance students' cognitive engagement and deepen their conceptual understanding. Research Methodology/Design/Approach-A quantitative descriptive survey was conducted involving high school students enrolled in a physics class that applied local wisdom as a contextual learning approach. Data were collected using a critical thinking skills test developed based on Ennis’ five indicators of critical thinking. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively to evaluate students’ performance across each critical thinking indicator. Findings- The results revealed that students’ overall critical thinking skills were at a moderate level, with an average score of 62.36%. Among the five indicators, the highest performance was observed in "giving simple explanations" (68.2%), while the lowest was in "making further explanations" (57.3%). These findings suggest that although students are able to connect physics concepts to local phenomena, their ability to engage in deeper reasoning and advanced critical thinking still requires further pedagogical reinforcement. Originality / Value- This study contributes to the growing body of literature on contextual science education by emphasizing the role of local wisdom in fostering critical thinking skills. Unlike prior studies that focused on general instructional models, this research provides empirical evidence supporting the potential value of culturally integrated learning in the physics classroom, particularly in developing students’ higher-order thinking skills.

Abstract

Purpose-This study investigates the ability of undergraduate physics students to create Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions based on topics learned in basic physics. The focus is on how well students can formulate questions that require deeper thinking. Research Methodology/Design/Approach-The research involved 40 students who were asked to construct HOTS-based questions and participate in semi-structured interviews. The questions were categorized into four types of HOTS: inferential, interpretive, transfer, and hypothetical. Data were analyzed to understand the distribution and quality of the questions created. Findings-Most students were able to generate inferential (35%) and interpretive (30%) questions, which align closely with the content taught in class. However, fewer students produced transfer (20%) and hypothetical (15%) questions, which require applying knowledge in new contexts and engaging in speculative reasoning. Interviews revealed that students struggled with these latter types due to limited exposure to applied and creative thinking tasks. Originality/Value-This study offers a fresh perspective by focusing on students’ ability to create rather than just answer HOTS questions. The findings emphasize the need for teaching strategies that promote contextual, critical, and innovative thinking to better prepare students for real-world problem-solving and scientific inquiry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan membandingkan pemahaman konseptual mahasiswa fisika antara pembelajaran langsung dan pembelajaran melalui platform Learning Management System (LMS). Pentingnya penelitian ini terletak pada upayanya untuk memberikan wawasan tentang efektivitas kedua metode pembelajaran dalam konteks pendidikan fisika, yang dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan kurikulum dan strategi pengajaran yang lebih efektif. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah survei kuantitatif yang melibatkan 104 mahasiswa fisika dari Universitas Negeri Makassar. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang dirancang untuk mengukur pemahaman konseptual, retensi informasi, dan tingkat kepuasan belajar. Analisis statistik dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi perbedaan antara kedua kelompok belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang belajar melalui metode tatap muka menunjukkan pemahaman konseptual yang lebih dalam. Di sisi lain, siswa yang menggunakan LMS menunjukkan retensi informasi yang lebih baik dan tingkat kepuasan belajar yang lebih tinggi. Keterbatasan penelitian ini termasuk sampel yang terbatas pada mahasiswa fisika dari beberapa universitas di Indonesia dan kurangnya pertimbangan terhadap faktor-faktor seperti variasi desain mata kuliah dan interaksi dengan instruktur. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya menyeimbangkan pembelajaran langsung dan penggunaan LMS dalam merancang kurikulum pendidikan fisika. Kombinasi kedua metode ini dapat memaksimalkan pemahaman konseptual dan retensi informasi, serta meningkatkan kepuasan belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi implementasi Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kerja peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan LKPD dengan pendekatan konstruktivis berbasis kearifan lokal dalam konteks pembelajaran fisika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan subjek penelitian yang terdiri dari siswa siswa dengan kemampuan kerja terendah. LKPD diimpelementasikan dengan mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal bugis dan prinsip konstruktivis dengan tujuan melatih peserta didik dalam melakukan kerja cerdas, kerja keras, kerja tuntas, dan kerja ikhlas sebagai budaya kerja pemerintah di Kabupaten Bone. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi LKPD konstruktivis berbasis kearifan lokal ini valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kerja dan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik. Temuan penelitian ini memiliki implikasi bagi lembaga pendidikan, pembuat kebijakan, dan pendidik di Indonesia, khususnya dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang relevan dengan konteks budaya lokal serta memperkuat pendekatan konstruktivis dalam pendidikan fisika.

Abstract

Pendidikan kewirausahaan sejak dini menjadi strategi penting dalam menumbuhkan kreativitas, kemandirian, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada anak. Pendekatan Project Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) yang diterapkan dalam Kurikulum Merdeka mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Pancasila, seperti gotong royong, kemandirian, dan tanggung jawab, ke dalam kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas P5 dalam menumbuhkan minat berwirausaha siswa kelas tinggi Sekolah Dasar (SD). Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi-experimental dengan desain pretest-posttest, dilengkapi observasi guru dan kuesioner sederhana untuk mengukur minat wirausaha siswa. Perlakuan berupa pembentukan kelompok mini-bisnis berbasis P5, di mana siswa merancang, memproduksi, dan memasarkan produk sederhana, serta melakukan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada minat berwirausaha siswa, terutama dalam aspek kreativitas, kemandirian, dan kerja sama tim. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa P5 efektif sebagai strategi pembelajaran kewirausahaan yang menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter sekaligus menumbuhkan minat wirausaha anak. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi guru SD dalam mengembangkan metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang aplikatif dan berkarakter.

Abstract

Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence is the state's effort to provide legal protection for women victims of sexual violence. However, along the way, several articles were found that were counter-productive, which were allegedly the entry point for the rise in cases of sexual violence occurring amidst strict legal regulations. Departing from this, this article attempts to provide a study regarding the existence of counter-productive articles, ideal deconstruction and policy direction for law enforcement related to these articles. The results of this research are: (1) it was found that several articles were counter-productive because they were considered to be overcriminalization, had the wrong object, were not followed up with implementing regulations, and determined the sentence incorrectly because it was contrary to the principles of punishment; (2) deconstruction of counter-productive articles can be carried out through revision of the normative formulation of these articles and the formulation of more comprehensive implementing provisions; and (3) Law Number 12 of 2022 is directed as the ultimate legal instrument in enforcing the law on criminal acts of sexual violence through preventive and repressive regulations.

Abstract

This study analyses the implementation of electronic zakat payments (E-Zakat) from the perspective of compliance with the three features of maq>as}id shariah. The use of E-Zakat raises crucial issues related to accuracy and transparency. This requires in-depth study to balance the intentions of muzakki with shariah principles. This study is qualitative in nature, using descriptive data analysis. The primary sources related to the implementation of E-Zakat were obtained directly from interviews with the director and finance department of BAZNAS Surabaya, while the main data for analysis were taken from arguments based on the maq>as}id shariah. The research findings show that the implementation of E-Zakat is based on the principles of transparency, email delivery, and religious promotion. The concept of transparency integrates the principles of maq>as}id shariah, which consist of hifd al-maal, hifdz al-diin, and hifdz an-nafs. The preservation of wealth is achieved by protecting the identity of zakat givers, distributing funds productively, and reporting regularly; the preservation of religion is represented through spiritual messages; while the preservation of life is integrated by ensuring the allocation of zakat funds to priority recipients to strengthen humanity.

Abstract

Concurrent elections should not be injured by dissenting interpretations of Islamic Law in terms of its contextual connection to Positive Law. This research aims to delve into the connection between the norms of Islam and politics in Indonesia and the measures taken to bring about the harmony of religious norms within the political system of law in Indonesia. With a normative-descriptive approach, this legal research discovered that the legal objective is not restricted to justice, but it also takes into account legal certainty and merit. The discourse on justice often refers to two thoughts. John Rawls and Jürgen Habermas, within the scope of critical philosophy developed by Kant, attempted to seek the primary principles underlying social life. Concurrent elections 2024 in Indonesia refer to direct, universal, free, secret, genuine, and just principles. These principles serve as the basis for justice enforcement, especially in the fulfilment of the political rights of the citizens. The justice principle builds the harmonization of the norms that underlie elections with Islamic Law as the core soul of the elections. Participation in elections is understood as the exercise of the norms of Islamic law with the frameworks aiming to bring about the merit of the people as a whole. How do the principles of justice in the principles of elections intertwine with the principle of justice in Islamic law? Abstract

Religion and sociology are two fields that are inherently linked to human social life. Religion is an integral part of the lives of many individuals and societies around the world, influencing actions, values, norms and social structures. On the other hand, sociology is the study of social interaction, social institutions and social change in society. Both influence each other and form complex social dynamics. The purpose of this study is to investigate the interaction between religion and sociology, with a focus on conflict and social change, and how hadith views these matters. The research aims to provide deeper insights into how religion influences the social structure, norms and values of society and how sociology can be used as an approach to understanding religion as a social phenomenon. In addition, the research will also explore the impact of religious conflict in society and the role of religion in the social changes that take place. What is important from the findings of this research is that the sociology of religion will provide knowledge about the patterns of religious social interaction in society and how they build structures and infrastructure in religion. With the sociology of religion, one will find a scientifically standardized pattern or concept of how religious people build a social system that respects each other and upholds tolerance. As a result, by studying the sociology of religion one will be able to personally control social actions in religion as well as control oneself. It is also confirmed by the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad Saw that religious life, especially a Muslim, must uphold science, tolerance, and patterns of social life must rely on religion, especially in Islam everything has been regulated and can be implemented.

Abstract

Kemampuan menulis karya ilmiah merupakan kompetensi penting bagi mahasiswa, khususnya dalam menghadapi mata kuliah KKN, PPL, dan skripsi yang menuntut kemampuan menelusuri sumber ilmiah dan mengelola referensi secara benar. Namun, banyak mahasiswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam penentuan sumber tepercaya, penyusunan sitasi, dan penulisan daftar pustaka yang sesuai kaidah akademik. Pelatihan penggunaan Mendeley Reference Manager dirancang untuk menjawab kebutuhan tersebut dengan membekali mahasiswa Jurusan Fisika keterampilan teknis dan literasi digital dalam manajemen referensi. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi dengan pendekatan partisipatif. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mengikuti pelatihan dengan antusias melalui sesi materi, demonstrasi, dan praktik mandiri. Analisis nilai pretest dan posttest memperlihatkan peningkatan kemampuan yang signifikan, dari rata-rata awal 46,79 menjadi 82,71 setelah pelatihan. Temuan ini diperkuat oleh hasil wawancara, yang menunjukkan peningkatan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam mengelola referensi, membuat folder terstruktur, serta menggunakan fitur sitasi otomatis. Meski demikian, beberapa peserta masih memerlukan pendampingan tambahan terkait penggunaan fitur lanjutan, seperti pemilihan gaya sitasi yang sesuai dan penanganan referensi duplikat. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan penulisan ilmiah mahasiswa dan meningkatkan kesiapan mereka dalam menyusun karya ilmiah yang lebih sistematis, akurat, dan efisien dengan dukungan Mendeley Reference Manager.
