Abstract

The garment industry has a significant environmental impact, making corporate social responsibility (CSR) increasingly important. This study examines the strategies used by garment companies in Indonesia to create eco-friendly products through CSR, as well as the human resource management (HRM) strategies that support these CSR initiatives. A qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach was used, with data collected through a literature study. The results show that garment companies are implementing various CSR strategies, such as using environmentally-friendly materials, efficient waste management, and involvement in environmental restoration programs. The three main HRM strategies are the development of employee capabilities, employee empowerment in waste management, and employee involvement in environmental restoration programs. However, there are still challenges related to regulatory compliance, implementation costs, and consumer awareness. Collaboration between the government, industry, and the community is necessary to create a more sustainable environment.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the impact of the e-performance system and human resource (HR) competencies on employee performance, with work motivation as an intervening variable at the Regional Secretariat Office of Indragiri Hilir Regency. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) 3.0, data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 177 respondents. The analysis revealed several key findings. First, the e-performance system positively and significantly influences work motivation. Similarly, HR competencies have a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Additionally, the e-performance system directly impacts employee performance in a positive and significant way. However, the relationship between HR competencies and employee performance was found to be positive but not significant. Work motivation, on the other hand, has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Furthermore, work motivation mediates the relationship between the e-performance system and employee performance, as well as between HR competencies and employee performance, both with positive and significant effects. These findings highlight the critical role of motivation in enhancing employee performance through e-performance systems and HR competencies.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe student consumption patterns formed through interactions with social media amidst post-pandemic economic uncertainty. Using a qualitative approach and non-participatory observation and documentation methods, this study explores symbolic, impulsive, and emotional consumption tendencies that emerge in students' daily lives. Observations indicate that students are actively exposed to social media content such ashaul, unboxing, and product review, which shapes perceptions of needs and encourages purchases that are not always based on real needs. Furthermore, digital social pressures reinforce consumer impulses to follow trends and build self-image in the digital space. The lack of financial records and consumption reflection indicates low financial awareness. Therefore, a contextual and adaptive consumer literacy approach to the dynamics of the younger generation's digital lifestyle is needed. This research contributes to a critical understanding of college students' consumer behavior and the importance of financial education relevant to their social realities.
