Abstract

Ragam tenun ikat yang ada di daerah Mbuli wilayah Lio selatan mempunyai arti atau makna baik secara religius maupun secara alamiah. Makna tersebut memiliki nilai-nilai Moral tradisional kehidupan masyarakat Mbuli yang tidak terpisahkan satu sama lain karena memiliki makna religius. Masyarakat Mbuli merupakan bagian dari masyarakat Lio yang sangat berpegang teguh pada kepercayaan kepada ‘Du’a gheta lulu wula, Ngga’e ghale wena tana ’yang merupakan Wujud Tertinggi. Masyarakat Mbuli yang menyatu dalam satu rumpun budaya Lio mengenali Yang Ilahi sehingga sampai pada pemahaman mereka akan adanya Wujud Tertinggi dengan sebutan ‘Du’a gheta lulu wula, Ngga’e ghale wena tana’. Ungkapan ini sungguh mendarah daging dalam diri setiap masyarakat Mbuli, yang diakui sebagai “yang kudus, suci dan sakral”. Ciri kebudayaan tersebut tergambar dan terekspresi melalui berbagai motif atau ragam tenun ikat. Makna religius bagi kehidupan masyarakat Mbuli dituangkan dalam bentuk motif yang beraneka ragam dalam “lawo” (sarung perempuan) dan “Luka/semba” (selempang) sebagai tenunan yang dibuat oleh gadis-gadis dan kaum ibu dalam masyarakat Mbuli. Hal ini menggambarkan bahwa masyarakat menyadari akan kebesaran Kasih Sang Ilahi, tanpa Yang Ilahi mereka tidak berdaya. Allah hadir, memelihara dan mengasihi serta selalu memberi berkat bagi hidup mereka.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan pengelolaan jurnal ilmiah berbasis sistem OJS dan menginisiasi persiapan awal dalam upaya pengelolaan jurnal ilmiah berbasis sistem OJS kepada tim redaksi pengelola jurnal di Universitas San Pedro. Metode pelaksanaan PKM yang digunakan, yaitu persiapan peserta dan materi, penyajian materi, dan workshop. Hasil kegiatan PKM memberi dampak dan manfaat yang signifikan bagi peserta pengelola jurnal. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, peserta pengelola jurnal dapat memahami bagaimana fungsi dan manfaat mengelola jurnal ilmiah menggunakan OJS. Selain itu, peserta juga sudah dapat memahami bagaimana alur dan proses dalam menerbitkan sebuah naskah artikel pada e-Jurnal. Harapannya dengan adanya e-Jurnal di Universitas San Pedro dapat membantu para dosen dan mahasiswa untuk lebih aktif dan produktif dalam mempublikasikan karya ilmiah hasil penelitian sebagai bentuk kontribusi terhadap penyebarluasan dan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan.

Abstract

One of the cultural heritages of the Indonesian people is the traditional Etu boxing tradition. Besides being full of various skills and dexterity for self-defense, Etu traditional boxing is also a test of virility and courage among young men in Nagekeo district which is rich in the traditions that surround it. The Etu traditional boxing sport is very rich in socio-cultural values and philosophical meaning. This research aims to find out, 1) the noble values contained in Etu, 2) describe the role of traditional elders/traditional figures in implementing Etu, 3) describe the formation of community character in Etu sports. in Nagekeo district, East Nusa Tenggara, and see the process of inheriting the traditional Etu boxing sport from generation to generation. This research uses a qualitative approach where data is obtained using Miles Matthew analysis. B and Huberman Michael, which consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and ending with drawing conclusions. The research results show that Etu traditional boxing is not just a sport, but is full of value and meaning in people's lives. The process of inheriting Etu traditional boxing is also going well to date. The characters that can be formed from traditional Etu sports in adaptive physical education learning for autistic children are to improve motor and psychomotor skills, improve balance and coordination, and improve cognitive qualities, positive attitudes and emotional intelligence.

Abstract

The context of this research focuses on the challenges children with mild intellectual disabilities face in recognizing body parts, an important part of their cognitive and social development. For students to better understand this concept, they need effective and fun learning.The purpose of this study was to improve the body parts recognition skills of children with mild intellectual disabilities through the use of attractive and interactive poster media. The method used was classroom action research, conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects were third grade students with special needs, and the focus was on improving their understanding of the names and functions of body parts.The results showed that the ability to recognize body parts improved significantly after using poster media. In each cycle, data was collected through initial and final tests, as well as observations of students' learning activities. At the end of the second cycle, students' average scores increased significantly, showing the effectiveness of using poster media in learning.This study concludes that poster media can be an effective tool to improve the body part recognition skills of children with mild intellectual disabilities. It is hoped that the findings of this study can be a reference for educators who develop innovative learning methods to meet the needs of students with special needs.

Abstract

This study focuses on the problems faced by children with mild disabilities in an effort to improve numeracy skills, which are the most important part of their cognitive and social development. The purpose of this study is to improve the ability to count numbers 1-20 in children with mild disabilities through the use of number card media. The method used in this study is classroom action research (PTK), which is carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of the study were second-year students with special needs, and the focus was on improving their numeracy and recognition of numbers 1-20. The results showed that the ability to count the numbers 1-20 increased significantly after using the number card medium. In each cycle, data is collected through initial and final tests, as well as observation of student learning activities. At the end of the second cycle, the average score of students increased significantly, showing the effectiveness of the use of number card media in supporting the learning process. This study concludes that number card media can be an effective and efficient medium to improve numeracy skills in children with mild disabilities.

Abstract

This research focuses on how to build the social skills of children with mild intellectual disabilities in building interaction with the surrounding environment, an important part of their cognitive and social development. In order for students to understand this concept better, they need effective and enjoyable learning. The purpose of this study is to improve the social skills of children with mild intellectual disabilities through the use of interesting and interactive building media (blocks). The method used is classroom action research (PTK), carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of the study is first-grade students with mild disabilities at SLBN Kota Raja Kupang, and the focus is on improving their social skills with classmates. The results showed that the ability to socialize with friends and the environment improved significantly after using Terapin's Block Games. In each cycle, data is collected through initial and final tests, as well as observation of student learning activities. At the end of the second cycle, the average score of the students increased significantly, indicating the effectiveness of the use of block game media in learning. This study concludes that beam media can be an effective tool to improve the social abilities of shiva with mild intellectual disabilities

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe STAD terhadap pemahaman konsep IPS pada siswa berkebutuhan khusus (tunagrahita ringan) kelas V di SLB Negeri Pembina Kabupaten Lembata. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design, melibatkan dua kelompok: eksperimen (model STAD) dan kontrol (metode konvensional). Data diperoleh melalui pretest dan posttest. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata gain score kelompok eksperimen sebesar 33,34, sedangkan kontrol hanya 16,66. Uji-t menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (p < 0,05) yang mengindikasikan bahwa model STAD efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman IPS. Model ini juga mendorong interaksi sosial dan keterlibatan belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, STAD layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPS bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus.

Abstract

This study aims to improve early reading skills in children with mild mental retardation at SLB Negeri Manekat Niki-Niki. Children with special needs, especially mental retardation, often face obstacles in concentration and understanding of material, especially in basic reading skills. Initial observations showed that mentally retarded students at the school had significant variations in early reading skills, with some of them still requiring intensive guidance. To overcome this problem, the researcher used letterbox media as a learning aid. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles. Each cycle consists of four meetings, including the delivery of material and post-action tests. The results in cycle I showed weaknesses in recognizing vowels, consonants, and syllables without teacher assistance. However, after improvements were made in the learning process in cycle II, there was a significant increase in students' initial reading ability. This increase was due to improvements in the teaching and learning process that made students more enthusiastic. Based on these findings, it is concluded that the use of letter box media is effective in improving the initial reading ability of children with mild mental retardation.

Abstract

Children with mild intellectual disabilities are a group of children with special needs who have an intelligence level ranging from 50 to 70, and often experience difficulties in fine motor skills. One effort that can be made to train fine motor skills as well as eye-hand coordination is through the use of appropriate learning media, one of which is puzzle media. This study aims to improve the fine motor skills of children with mild intellectual disabilities through the use of puzzle media at SLB Negeri Manekat Niki-Niki, Amanuban Tengah District, South Central Timor Regency. The research uses a classroom action method with a quantitative descriptive approach based on Kurt Lewin's model, which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects consisted of three children, comprising two boys and one girl. The data collection technique was conducted through direct observation of students' activities during learning. The data were analyzed quantitatively by calculating the percentage of achievement of fine motor indicators in each cycle. The results showed an improvement in fine motor skills in each cycle after the implementation of puzzle media. Thus, puzzle media has been proven effective in enhancing fine motor skills in mildly mentally retarded children.

Abstract

Education is a shared responsibility involving teachers, government, parents, and the community. One group of children who need special attention is children with mild intellectual disabilities, who have an intelligence level ranging from 50 to 70. Children with mild intellectual disabilities usually experience complex vocabulary problems that have an impact on mental development disorders or a lack of self-confidence. This study aims to improve vocabulary skills in children with mild intellectual disabilities using Pop Up Book media at SLB Negeri Manekat Niki-Niki, Amanuban Tengah District, South Central Timor Regency. The method used is classroom action research with a quantitative descriptive approach based on the Kurt Lewin model, which includes four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The study subjects comprised three children: two boys and one girl. Data were collected through observation sheets for students. The results of the study in the first cycle showed an increase in the vocabulary skills of children with mild mental retardation who used Pop up. Book media. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Pop Up. Book media is effective in improving vocabulary skills in children with mild mental retardation at SLB Negeri Manekat Niki-Niki.
