Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the level of physical activity and student learning outcomes through the implementation of cooperative models TGT X grade students at SMK Dharma Bakti Lubuk Alung. The research conducted is a Class Action Research (PTK). The subjects were X.1 grade students of SMK Dharma Bakti Lubuk Alung. Data collection instrument consists of two parts, namely; the observation sheet is to determine the activity of students in learning and daily test is to determine student mastery of the material that has been studied. Data analysis technique used is the percentage technique, the method of graphs, descriptive statistics and analysis. Based on the results of data analysis that has been done can be put forward two main result of this study, 1) Implementation of cooperative models TGT can increase the activity and learning outcomes Physical Science class students of SMK Dharma Bakti Lubuk Alung, 2) the students learning outcomes have exceeded KKM 80.00 is set, this means learning outcomes increased by 60.99% from the average student’s learning outcomes before the study. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat aktivitas fisik dan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model koperasi siswa kelas X TGT X di SMK Dharma Bakti Lubuk Alung. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Class Action Research (PTK). Subjek adalah siswa kelas X.1 SMK Dharma Bakti Lubuk Alung. Alat pengumpulan data terdiri dari dua bagian, yaitu lembar observasi untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran dan tes harian untuk mengetahui penguasaan siswa terhadap materi yang telah dipelajari. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik persentase, metode grafik, statistik deskriptif dan analisis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan dapat diajukan dua hasil utama penelitian ini, 1) Penerapan model kooperatif TGT dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil pembelajaran siswa kelas I Ilmu Pengetahuan Fisika SMK Dharma Bakti Lubuk Alung, 2) siswa Hasil pembelajaran telah melampaui KKM 80,00, artinya hasil belajar meningkat sebesar 60,99% dari rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebelum penelitian.

Abstract

This research is motivated on yet optimal learning physics, so it leads to student lower learning outcomes. One way that can be done to solve the problem is to use methods of inquiry learning with handouts. The problems of this study is there any effect of applying inquiry learning methods with handouts on physics learning outcomes at class X MIA SMAN 1 Batang anai. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying inquiry learning methods with handouts. The study population was all students of grade X MIA SMAN I Batang Anai enrolled in the Academic Year 2014/2015. The instrument used in this study is an objective test and observation sheet. Test data analysis used to test the hypothesis is t test. The conclusion of this study is there any  effect of applying inquiry learning methods with handouts on physics learning outcomes at class X MIA SMAN 1 Batang Anai.Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi belum optimalnya pembelajaran fisika, sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah menggunakan metode pembelajaran inkuiri disertai handout. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini Apakah terdapat pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran inkuiri disertai handout terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas X MIA SMAN 1 Batang Anai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran inkuiri disertai handout. Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas X MIA SMAN I Batang Anai yang terdaftar dalam Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes objektif dan lembar observasi. Uji analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah uji t. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran inkuiri disertai handout terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas X MIA SMAN 1 Batang Anai.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of a structured and practice-based textbook for ship diesel engine maintenance aimed at Nautical Technology students at West Sumatra Shipping Polytechnic.The background highlights the increasing demand for skilled maritime workforce in Indonesia, contrasted with the lack of adequate teaching materials that combine theory and practice.The study aims to bridge this gap through a project-based learning approach. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation).Data were collected from students of the Nautical Technology study program and validated by two subject matter experts. Findings indicate that students had not been using proper printed resources and relied mostly on internet materials and lecturers explanations.The developed textbook received positive validation from experts with a score categorized as feasible with revision. Students' responses showed the textbook was attractive and effective in improving understanding and practical readiness.The research contributes to enhancing vocational education quality, strengthening the connection between theory and practice, and preparing competent graduates in maritime technology.It is concluded that the developed textbook is suitable for implementation with minor improvements, and further research is suggested to extend its application to other fields of maritime studies

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out to improve the knowledge and skills of fishermen in Ketaping Beach, Padang Pariaman Regency, in maintaining and repairing boat engines. The background of this activity is the low awareness of fishermen of safety at sea and the frequent breakdown of boat engines during operation. The methods used are in the form of socialization and training consisting of lectures, discussions, and the practice of disassembling boat engine components. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in fishermen's understanding of work safety and boat engine maintenance techniques. The fishermen also gave a very positive response and hoped that similar activities could continue in the future. This activity is expected to be able to reduce the risk of engine damage at sea, increase the efficiency of seagoing activities, and encourage the improvement of the welfare of fishermen in Ketaping.

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of high school physics technology handouts in the Science Technology Society (STM) model on straight motion material. This type of research is research and development that uses six steps of research, namely potential problems, information gathering, product design, design validation, design improvement, and product trials. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Based on the analysis of the validation of the handout by the lecturer, an average value of 79% and an analysis of 88.5% of teachers showed that the handout was valid, and the practicality value of two teachers by 89% showed that the handout was very practical to use. Based on the analysis of the data above, it can be concluded that the handout of the STM model is valid and very practical to be used as teaching material for class X high school semester

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) Difficulties in learning science for students at SMPN 2 Batang Anai 2) Factors that cause difficulties in learning science for students at SMPN 2 Batang Anai during the covid-19 pandemic, 3) efforts made to overcome difficulties learning science for students at SMPN 2 Batang Anai during the covid-19 pandemic. The population in this study were all students of SMPN 2 Batang Anai for the academic year 2020/2021. The sample technique in this study was taken using a random sampling technique. The research instrument that the researcher uses is in the form of a questionnaire or a questionnaire given to the sample and documentation. The analytical technique used is statistical test analysis technique. Statistical tests are used to see the accuracy or accuracy of an equation function to estimate the data that we analyze. The results of this study indicate that students' learning difficulties in science at SMPN 2 Batang Anai during the COVID-19 pandemic were categorized as low with a percentage of 28.25% with a score of 21% -40%.

Abstract

This research is background by the low of student activity in learning IPA for VII.2 class student of SMPN 2 Batang Anai. The causes are the teacher still lack of using interesting learning strategies. The lack of student desire to repeat the lesson has been given at the school, so it is difficult to understand by the student. Consequently the result of student learning is low. One of the way in improving the student active learning is to implement active learning strategies through the type of Giving Question and Getting Answer (GQGA). The purpose of this research is to improve the student activity in learning IPA for VII.2 class students of SMPN 2 Batang Anai through the type of GQGA.The kind of the research is action class research. The subject of this research is VII.2 class students of SMPN 2 Batang Anai who registered in period of 2015/2016. The instrument of this research was observation sheet in each meeting into two cyclus for student activity learning data, and result of final test in each final cyclus for result student learning data. Data analysis is like quantity analysis by using observation sheet, consist of positive and negative activities indicator student as long as learning in the class. Based on the data analysis is gotten the improve of student activities learning in positive indicator from 68% to cyclus 1 become 90% to cyclus 2. It influence to improve the student test achievement in percent in each final cyclus from 59% to cyclus 1 become 100% to cyclus 2. It can concluded there is improvement of the student activity in learning IPA for VII.2 class student of SMPN 2 Batang Anai through strategy active learning by the type of GQGA.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of attractive learning materials used by teachers, so that students have difficulties in understanding the lessons. One solution is to design learning materials in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD) using a learning model that can improve the abilities and interests of students. The model used in the design of this LKPD is a model (Predict Observe Explain POE. The research carried out includes the type of Research and Development (R&D). The data collection instrument is an LKPD questionnaire based on the Predict Observe Explain model, a questionnaire to determine the practicality of the LKPD. LKPD based on the Predict Observe model Explain was tested at SMAN 2 Lubuk Alung Class X Semester 1. Based on the results of the LKPD validation analysis by the validator, a valid LKPD was obtained with an average score of 79.13% of the validity of the lecturer's questionnaire, and 80% of the validity of the teacher's questionnaire. POE-based LKPD which is very practical with an average score of 78.30% of the practicality of teachers, and 85.83% of practicality of students.

Abstract

Mind map provide a creative display of topic network under discussion in learning process. Therefore, the integration of mind map in learning media is an alternative way to increase student’s interest. We designed mind map-based learning media to deliver optical instruments material and evaluate its properness in XI grade of SMA N 15 Padang. This is an R&D research using modified Brog and Gall development used a mixed method between qualitative and quantitative approach. Learning media was validated by material expert, media expert and a physics teacher. The validation results from three validators are obtained with an average of 88%, 93% and 88% which is categorized as very worthy and this media is feasible to be applied. Student responses on media assessment showed very agree with 46.63%, agreed with 41.6%, only 9.49% chose Less Agree and 2% chose Disagree. Students admitted that the mind map was interesting, easy to use, and helpful. Therefore, the mind map learning media in optical instrument is appropriate to apply in learning process.
