Abstract

The research aims to describe 1.The relationship of self-efficacy and the students understanding of the concept of Pertiwi 2 Junior High School Padang. 2. The relationship of motivation and the understanding of the concept of Pertiwi 2 Junior High School students. Factors that can influence a student's understanding of concept are not only depend on the media, model, strategy and learning environment but depend on the students themselves which are self efficacy and motivation. The research is begun at the beginning of the even semester of 2017/2018 academic year. The population in this study was eight (VIII) grade students of Pertiwi 2 Junior High School Padang. The variables consisted of self efficacy (X1), motivation (X2) and understanding of concept (Y). The sample used random sampling which totaled 52 samples. The type of research is descriptive research. The instrument used in this study is questionnaire. The essay as a test is given at the end of Science study to find out the students level of understanding concepts. Based on the data analysis self efficacy 0.184 in the lowest relationship level. According to the significance test, was used t test, in real level = 0,05 with degree of freedom (dk=44) was obtained ttable 1,68. Based on the criteria of the test, ttable = 1.68 and t count = 1.243. Means Hi was rejected and H0 was accepted. The motivation relationship level is 0.089 in the lowest level. Based on the significance test, was used t test, in real level = 0,05 with degree of freedom (dk=44) was obtained ttable 1,68. The tests criteria result is ttable =1,68 dan t count =0.593. Means Hi is rejected and H0 was accepted. So, it can be concluded as there is no significant relationship of self efficacy and motivation with the understanding of concepts of integrated science in VIII class of Pertiwi 2 Junior High School Padang.

Abstract

Masif dan semakin kompleknya permasalahan lingkungan hidup menjadi hal penting dan mendesak untuk semakin mengerakan prilaku ramah lingkungan, pada setiap lapisan masyarakat, termasuk mahasiswa, agar permasalahan lingkungan dapat teratasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengkaji hubungan pengetahuan lingkungan terhadap prilaku ramah lingkungan mahasiswa STKIP YDB Lubuk Alung. Karena masih sangat minim perilaku peduli lingkungan mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif dengan teknik korelaside dengan mengunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki pengetahuan yang tinggi tentang lingkungan di mana 82 % memiliki nilai pada rentangan 100-78 dan memiliki prilaku lingkungan yang rendah, hal ini ditunjukan dengan data hasil angket 30 % yang selalu berprilaku ramah lingkungan baik dikampus maupun di rumah. Berdasarkan analisis data hubungan pengetahuan lingkungan dengan prilaku lingkungan didapatkan bahwa t hitung sebesar 0,6819 dan t tabel sebesar 1,658 pada taraf signifikan 5% dan Hasil penelitian menyatakan tidak terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan lingkungan dengan Prilaku lingkungan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of attractive learning materials used by teachers, so that students have difficulties in understanding the lessons. One solution is to design learning materials in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD) using a learning model that can improve the abilities and interests of students. The model used in the design of this LKPD is a model (Predict Observe Explain POE. The research carried out includes the type of Research and Development (R&D). The data collection instrument is an LKPD questionnaire based on the Predict Observe Explain model, a questionnaire to determine the practicality of the LKPD. LKPD based on the Predict Observe model Explain was tested at SMAN 2 Lubuk Alung Class X Semester 1. Based on the results of the LKPD validation analysis by the validator, a valid LKPD was obtained with an average score of 79.13% of the validity of the lecturer's questionnaire, and 80% of the validity of the teacher's questionnaire. POE-based LKPD which is very practical with an average score of 78.30% of the practicality of teachers, and 85.83% of practicality of students.

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic has changed many things in human life, including education where the learning process is now required to be online. Online learning has various drawbacks, one of which is the difficulty of students and lecturers connecting within the specified lecture time. Therefore, flexible and easily accessible learning media is needed to increase student understanding. Contextual learning videos are the solution that can answer these problems because of their flexibility and ease of access. The practicality of learning videos was evaluated through student responses to aspects of Ease of Use, Time Effectiveness, Attractiveness, and Benefits. The average score for the Ease of Use aspect is 86.24%, for the Time Effectiveness aspect it is 85.94%; the Attractiveness aspect scored 82.81%, and the Benefit aspect scored 85.42%. This study indicates that the learning video used was practical and very helpful in the online learning process during the Covid-19 period

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi banyaknya mahasiswa yang bermasalah dalam penulisan tugas akhir serta jurnal yang merupakan salah satu syarat lulus dari perguruan tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa tingkat akhir STKIP YDB Lubuk Alung dengan pemberian materi penulisan skripsi yang dilakukan pada bulan September 2020 sampai dengan Februari 2021. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif non eksperimental. Populasi sebanyak 26 orang dengam pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampiling.  Instrument penelitian menggunakan kuisioner bersifat tertutup menggunakan skala likert. Berdasarkan analis statistik yang dilakukan di dapatkan bahwa interval tertinggi berada pada materi “sistim jurnal” sebesar 90% dan terendah pada materi “tata cara penulisan skripsi” sebesar 78% namun semua materi masih berada pada kategori sangat puas dengan rata-rata interval sebesar 83%, sehingga dapat disimpulakan bahwa pemberian materi penulisan skripsi dan jurnal memiliki kategori sangat puas.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low of students learning outcomes in grade X at SMAN 1 Enam Lingkung that students think physics is difficult. Based on this problem, the aim of this research is to determine the effect of using contextual-based learning materials in the discovery learning model on the physics learning outcomes of student in grade X at SMAN 1 Enam Lingkung. This is experimental quantitative research with population of 180 students with 68 students was chosen as the sample 68 by using purposive random sampling technique. Analysis of the similarity of means was used to test the hypothesis because the data is normally distributed and has a homogeneous variance. The results of the cognitive domain analysis obtained that the average of the experimental class was 72.12 and the control class was 62.29. It can be concluded that the class that use contextual-based learning materials shows higher average learning outcomes compared to that of the class without contextual-based learning materials. Analysis of mean similarity test was obtained th = 2.05 while tt = 1.998 at the 0.05 level of significance and dk = 66. It can be seen that th is in the Ho rejection area, this means that Ho is rejected and H1 was accepted. Based on this result it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the use of contextual-based learning materials with discovery learning model on physics learning outcomes of student in grade X in SMAN 1 Enam Lingkung.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low science learning outcomes, especially for class V students at SDN 01 Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. The factor causing low student learning outcomes is that teachers have not used creative and innovative learning models and the learning that takes place is still teacher-centered. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the Talking Stick Model on the Science Learning Outcomes of Class V Students at SDN 01 Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Type of experimental research with a Posttest Only Control Design research design. The population of this study were all fifth grade students at SDN 01 Nan Sabaris. The sampling technique in this research used Saturated Sampling, totaling 40 people. The data analysis technique used in this research is the analysis requirements test and hypothesis testing with the t test. Research results, the average value in the experimental class is 80.80, the average value in the control class is 69.2, showing the ttable price with a = 0.05 and dk 38, namely 1.68. From the research, it was found that t count = 3.36, because t count> t table so that Ha was accepted, meaning there was a difference in learning outcomes between learning using the Talking Stick Model and conventional learning. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the Talking Stick model on the science learning outcomes of class V students at SDN 01 Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman.Keywords: Talking Stick Model, Science Learning, Science Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students' religious attitude assessments in Universitas Adzkia and UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. The methods used in this research include preliminary studies, data collection via google forms questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. The data obtained was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The research results show that integrating religious attitudes in the higher education curriculum is a strategic step that can improve the quality of graduates both in academic aspects and moral integrity. This research also found that assessing religious attitudes at the higher education level helps students understand and apply religious values in everyday life, as well as reducing negative behavior and increasing positive behavior. The implication of this research is the need for a holistic approach in fostering student religiosity, including strengthening spiritual formation programs, providing worship facilities, and mentoring programs. Regular evaluation of the religiosity development program is also recommended to ensure its effectiveness in meeting student needs and challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Applied Physics teaching materials based on a scientific approach to enhance students' creativity in the Nautical Technology Study Program at the Politeknik Pelayaran Sumatera Barat. Creativity, which includes critical thinking, flexibility, and originality, is an essential competence in science education to address the challenges of the workforce. This study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model, encompassing the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results indicate that students previously lacked relevant printed teaching materials, and the learning process relied on digital resources like presentations, which were deemed less scientific. The developed teaching materials cover Statics, Motion Dynamics, Fluids, and Temperature, presented systematically and applicatively. Experts have confirmed that these teaching materials have high feasibility, with an average score of ≥3.26, although some revisions are needed to enhance the context and relevance of the content. Student responses to these teaching materials demonstrate high effectiveness in helping them understand Applied Physics concepts, with average scores for material and language aspects reaching ≥3.09, respectively. Moreover, the scientific activities in the teaching materials successfully encouraged students to think creatively and generate new ideas. In conclusion, the scientific-based Applied Physics teaching materials developed effectively enhance student creativity and are relevant to education and industry needs. This study significantly contributes to innovation in science teaching methods in higher education.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of technology in education necessitates innovative approaches to enhance critical thinking skills, a vital competency in the 21st century. This study aims to design and evaluate Android-based learning media using the Smart Apps Creator (SAC) platform, targeting the improvement of critical thinking skills among students in the educational technology course in the information technology education study program of the faculty of teacher training and education at Bina Bangsa University, Banten, Indonesia. The research adopts the ADDIE model, encompassing Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation phases. The developed learning media consists of interactive components, including a main page, learning objectives, usage instructions, educational materials, and evaluation exercises. The media was evaluated by four expert validators for content and media validity, yielding scores of 93% and 91%, respectively, categorized as "very valid." Practicality was assessed through student feedback, with an average score of 89.5%, indicating "very practical" usability. Effectiveness was measured through pre-test and post-test evaluations, showing a significant improvement in critical thinking skills with an average effectiveness score of 90.5%. These results highlight the learning media's capability to enhance engagement and foster critical thinking skills effectively. The study underscores the potential of SAC-based applications as a scalable solution for integrating interactive and student-centered learning tools into higher education. Future research could explore the application of such media across various educational contexts and its impact on other 21st-century competencies.
