Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between back strength (Back), leg strength (Leg), body pulling ability (Pull Up), cardiovascular endurance (12-minute Run), and flexibility (Sit & Reach) to Bifins performance in 10 diving athletes. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and Pearson correlation. The results of the normality test showed that all variables were normally distributed (p > 0.05). Correlation analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between the variables Leg (r = 0.653, p = 0.040), Pull Up (r = 0.905, p < 0.001), 12-minute Run (r = 0.638, p = 0.047), and Sit & Reach (r = 0.873, p = 0.001) with Bifins performance. While back strength ( Back ) did not show a significant correlation with Bifins (r = -0.195, p = 0.588). These results indicate that leg strength, pulling ability, endurance, and flexibility are important factors that affect the performance of diving athletes. This study provides a basis for developing training programs that focus on these aspects to improve the performance of diving athletes.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the connection between mental health and confidence self with achievement athlete badminton PB Tugu Muda Semarang. Sample in this research consists of of 30 athletes, consisting of over 21 athletes son and 9 athletes daughter. The analysis method used was the Spearman correlation test, because the data did not fulfill the assumption normality. Research results show existence connection significant negative between Mental Health and achievement (r = -0.536; p = 0.002), which indicates that the taller level mental health, then the lower performance athletes. On the other hand, there are connection significant positive between trust self and achievement (r = 0.551; p = 0.002), which means the taller trust self-athlete, then the better achievements are also achieved. Most of them athlete is at in category currently until high on aspects mental health and confidence self. The results of this research show importance development of training programs that are not only focus on aspects technical and physical, but also on the aspects psychological, especially trust self and mental readiness, in order to support achievement optimal performance.

The place of implementation of this research is at Cahaya Gunung Football Academy Kendal, with research subjects as many as 24 athletes. The data analysis technique uses multiple regression analysis with a significance level of 5%. The results of the hypothesis test 1 showed a calculated r value of 0.503 > r table (0.05) ( 24 ) ( 0.388 ), it was concluded that there was a significant correlation between agility and penalty kicks in Cahaya Gunung Football Academy Kendal athletes. The results of the hypothesis 2 test show a calculated r value of 0.697 > r table (0.05) ( 24 ) ( 0.388 ), so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between emotions and penalty kicks in Cahaya Gunung Football Academy Kendal athletes. The results of the hypothesis 3 test obtained a calculated F result of 13.853 with F table = 3.47, so that the calculated F > F table (13.853 > 3.47) concluded that there was a significant correlation between agility and emotion towards penalty kicks in Cahaya Gunung Football Academy athletes.

Abstract

Tension and stress during competition often lead to changes in psychological functioning, such as reduced concentration, loss of focus, increased anxiety, or, from a somatic perspective, increased muscle tension. Mental health can be affected by tension, which is seen as a result of physical interactions. Self-talk is a "strategy" employed by every athlete, whether verbalized or simply thought. Muscle tension is generally associated with stress, anxiety, and fear, as part of a process that helps our bodies prepare for potentially dangerous situations. The methods used included psychological education on self-talk and progressive muscle relaxation, progressive muscle relaxation practice, discussions, mentoring, and data collection on the athletes' mental health. The results of the community service research, as shown in the table, categorize 11 swimmers based on their mental health: 6 athletes categorized as moderate, and 5 athletes as low. Athletes with moderate mental health are considered to have good emotional, psychological, and social well-being, which influences how a person thinks, feels, and acts, including their ability to cope with the pressures of competition. Conversely, athletes with low mental health are classified as having good mental health.
