Abstract

Learning is the most important activity in the entire educational process in school. The outbreak of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic has had a major impact on all existing areas; teaching and learning processes are also carried out at home online or online via Google in the education sector. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of online learning with Google-based online media classroom waves on the physical learning outcomes of SMA Negeri 2 Tondano students This research method is an experimental method. The research data are based on the post-test results. The average physics learning outcomes of the experimental class students was 82 with a maximum score of 90 and a minimum score of 70. While the average physics learning outcomes for the control class students was 62 with a maximum score of 80 and a minimum score of 50, normality test of the data showed that the experimental class data and the control class are normally distributed, then the hypothesis is tested. Data on student learning outcomes from the post-test. The results of the investigation by calculating the t-test formula show that the H_O hypothesis is rejected. From this it can be concluded that the average learning outcomes of the experimental physics class are higher than those of the control classes.

Abstract

Since the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in practicum activities not running optimally. To overcome these obstacles, the virtual laboratory using the Phyphox application can be used as a distance learning medium. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Phyphox application in the Free Fall Motion experiment as a learning medium. This research is pre-experimental research with one group pretest-posttest research design. The research subjects are students of the VIII semester of the Physics Department, Manado State University 2020/2021. Collecting data using tests with test instruments in the form of essays and science process skills and affective assessment using rubrics. The average pretest result increased to 42.67 to 86.67 on the average posttest result. The average results of the assessment of science process skills and affective assessment are in good criteria (66-79%) and very good criteria (80-100%). Obtaining N-Gain scores from each student, there were 11 students in the high N-Gain category with a percentage of 73% and as many as 4 students in the medium N-Gain category with a percentage of 27%. The result of the average percentage of N-Gain from 15 students is 76.4%. The results of this study indicate that the use of the Phyphox Application is effectively used in free fall motion experiments as a learning medium.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on student learning processes and outcomes in material elasticity. The method used in this study was a pre-experimental study with a one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted through three stages. The first stage is to provide a pretest to measure students' initial abilities. The second stage is giving treatment through problem-based learning and the third stage is giving a posttest as a learning evaluation. The research subjects were class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Tondano Selatan for the academic year 2022/2023. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression for the process and the results of the coefficient formula obtained showed that there was an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the learning process of students at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano with a percentage of 90.4%. Based on the significance value: from the coefficient table, a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 is obtained, so it can be concluded that variable X (Problem Based Learning model) has an effect on Y (Student Learning Process). Data analysis techniques for student learning outcomes using the N-GAIN test obtained an average pretest score of 7.0 and a posttest average score of 63.6. The results of this study indicate that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model influences student learning processes and outcomes.

Abstract

Kegiatan wawancara awal memberikan informasi bahwa model pembelajaran eksploratif belum pernah diterapkan pada mata kuliah ilmu lingkungan, dan dosen belum pernah melakukan penilaian psikomotorik khususnya keterampilan proses sains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran eksploratif fenomena lokal dan global mengenai perubahan gelombang air dan kecepatan angin di Danau Tondano. Metode penelitian campuran (mixed method) dengan explanatory sequential design digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Subyek penelitian adalah 12 orang calon guru IPA yang mengontrak mata kuliah ilmu lingkungan di Universitas Negeri Manado pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Kami menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa calon guru IPA dalam pembelajaran eksploratif fenomena lokal dan global mengenai perubahan gelombang air dan kecepatan angin di Danau Tondano memperoleh persenase rata-rata 85% dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan informasi baru bahwa kemampuan keterampilan proses sains menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik melalui setting pembelajaran eksploratif.

Abstract

Molecular Disperse Red 19 (DR-19) is known as a potential material for photonic device applications such as optical switching and optical data storage. For the application of this photonic device, a good quality film is needed, which has a flat surface, homogeneous thickness, optical stability, and good optical properties.This study aims to examine the effect of the silane substrate surface and the external electric field of 3.3 MV / m in regulating the molecular orientation of the DR-19 film on the silane substrate surface.The fabrication method used is the PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) method assisted by an external electric field. The film was made on the surface of the silane substrate with the deposition of DR-19 molecules in a variety of external electric fields, namely no electric field (zero field) and the electric field E = 3.3 MV / m. The films were analyzed and characterized using X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD). The results of the X-ray diffraction measurement analysis show that the DR-19 molecules are stacking perpendicular to the surface of the silane substrate, which shows an indication of the strong surfactant effect of the substrate from the hydrogen bonding of the DR-19 molecule with silane substrate. The results of spectroscopic measurements show that with the increase in the external electric field, there is an increase in the effect of aggregation of molecules arranged in an orderly manner perpendicular to the surface of the silane substrate.

Abstract

Rain is one of the most important climatic elements, but its existence spatially and temporally is still difficult to predict. Apart from being dynamic, the physical processes involved are also very complex. This rainfall uncertainty is getting bigger when climate anomalies occur in the form of El Nino and La Nina. To determine the changes in the el nino index when it rains, in this study a cross-correlation coefficient method with time lag on rain events will be carried out by utilizing data from observational data at the location of the BMKG Sam Ratulangi Meteorological Station. This method used a tool to predict the connection of a data series x (input) with data y (output) in a system. In order to perform a cross-correlation analysis, the two series must be sampled at the same time interval. The secondary data on rainfall and the El Nino index obtained by the researcher have a time interval of half an hour and start from 7 am to 6 pm. The correlation coefficient value of the El Nino index with rainfall in 2015 shows a coefficient value of -0.26467, in 2016 it shows an efficiency value of -0.43383, in 2017 it shows a coefficient value of 0.37771.

Abstract

Mount Tampusu, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi has geological conditions that are influenced by the geothermal system. Where the geothermal system has plate movement that affects it, one of which is the convergent plate movement, where two plates collide with each other, resulting in the potential for surface manifestation. This study aims to analyze the surface structure and discharge area or commonly referred to as geothermal manifestations based on the density of straightness and surface manifestations. The structure on the surface was analyzed by lineament density using the FFD method. It is assumed that the fracture or fault is associated with geothermal areas which are mostly difficult to identify because they are covered by surface manifestations. Faults and fractures are the pathways for the movement of hot fluids because they are assumed to be weak fields so that they can be clues to the location of the discharge area or manifestation. Based on the FFD and Remote Sensing Methods collaborated with satellite image data, the surface density and its relationship with the discharge area in the study area were known. Where there are 64.45 straight ridges and valleys in the area with density values ​​ranging from 1.6 to 4.6.

Abstract

This study aims to determine Collaborative Learning Management on Moment of Inertia material for class XI IPA SMA N Tondano. This research uses a mix method with a mixed combination model of two methods, namely qualitative and quantitative. Mixed Methods research is a new approach in research, although some researchers state that this research method is not a new approach in research. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA SMA N 2 Tondano. Retrieval of data in the form of test questions, interviews and documentation. The results showed the role of the components in the learning management function, namely the planning stage, the actuating stage, the organizing stage, and the controlling/evaluation stage. There was an increase in student learning outcomes after applying collaborative learning management in solving physics problems on the moment of inertia material at SMA N 2 Tondano.

Abstract

Implementation of Problem Based Learning Model on Rolling Motion Material to Improve Students' Learning Outcomes. Thesis. Department of Physics. Faculty of Mathematics and Earth Sciences. Tondano. 2024. The problem in this study is that physics learning, especially in rolling motion material on an inclined plane, is done theoretically without so that students lack understanding of the material and the use of an inappropriate learning model that has an impact on the average score of students less than sixty-five, in other words insufficient. This study aims to examine the improvement of student learning outcomes with a problem-based learning model. The population of this study amounted to 240 students of class XII SMA Negeri 2 Bitung with a sample of 1 class for the experimental class and 1 class as a control class, each of which amounted to 25 people. This research method is quantitative. Data in this study were collected using pretest-posttest questions. Based on the discussion presented in this study in the previous section, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the learning outcomes of students on rolling motion material on an inclined plane with the Problem Based Learning model at SMA Negeri 2 Bitung.

Abstract

Pembelajaran eksploratif dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan alam sekitar sebagai sumber belajar dapat menjadi alternatif untuk menyajikan proses perkuliahan yang lebih menarik dan kolaboratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan kolaborasi mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran eksploratif fenomena lokal dan global mengenai radiasi cahaya matahari dan suhu di Danau Tondano. Penelitian yang dilakukan peneliti adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Intrumen yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi keterampilan kolaborasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis data secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan kolaborasi mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran eksploratif fenomena lokal dan global mengenai radiasi cahaya matahari dan suhu di Danau Tondano memperoleh nilai 89 termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik.
