Abstract

Pada Program Hibah Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Kompetitif Nasional  melibatkan Tim Pelaksana Prodi Teknik Mesin dan Prodi Teknik Rekayasa Elektro Universitas Lambung Mangkurat dengan Mitra dari Karang Taruna Karya Masa di Desa Lok Baintan, Kabupaten Banjar, Provinsi kalimantan Selatan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra saat ini adalah pertama permasalahan lingkungan seperti banyaknya tumpukan limbah berupa sampah rumah tangga; kedua permasalahan pada parawisata dimana eceng gondok menghambat aktifitas kegiatan wisata pasar terapung; ketiga permasalahan pertanian dimana eceng gondok merupakan gulma yang selama ini hidup di wilayah pertanian di pesisir sungai Martapura. Dari permasalahan tersebut membuat Tim PKM dari Prodi Teknik Mesin Universitas Lambung Mangkurat mengajak berkerjasama dengan masyarakat, dimana dari tim PKM memberikan pengetahuan dan bantuan berupa barang, dengan merancang dan membuat suatu alat pencacah dan peniris eceng gondok. Kegiatan PKM berikut bertujuan dapat menghasilkan beberapa hal, antara lain: (1) Tim PKM dapat mentransfer ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi kepada anggota karang taruna; (2) Pembuatan atau perakitan alat pencacah eceng gondok serta cara mengoperasikan dan merawat teknologi yang diberikan; (3) tim PKM memberikan pelatihan kepada mitra cara membuat dan memasarkan pupuk kompos dari eceng gondok

Abstract

Steam Power Plant (PLTU) is a plant that relies on kinetic energy from steam to produce electrical energy. One of the components used to run the system in PLTU is an air compressor. In Pulang Pisau Steam Steam Power Plant, Air Screw Compressor is used to meet the needs of compressed air in air instruments and ash removal. This study aims to analyze the isentropic efficiency of ash removal screw compressors 2 and 3 at Pulang Pisau Steam Power Plant by comparing the isentropic value of factory specifications with the isentropic value of actual conditions using Computer Aided Thermodynamics Table 3 (CATT3) software. The method carried out in this study is divided into two, namely taking actual data in the field and calculating data using CATT3 software. The results showed that the average isentropic efficiency value of ash removal compressor 2 is 84% and ash removal compressor 3 is 83% with a range of values of 77% - 89%. From these results, it can be concluded that ash removal compressors 2 and 3 at the Pulang Pisau Steam Power Plant are still working properly.

Abstract

Micro-hydro power plants take advantage of the energy potential of low-head airflow. with the development of technology that can support it, namely the Archimedes screw turbine as the driving force. Various parameters must be considered to determine the performance of micro hydro power plants with Archimedes screw turbines. A design is carried out with a discharge parameter flow rate of 2 l/s, a turbine slope of 300, and an immersion level variation of 0.3, 0.5, and 0.7, where the final result shows the value of torque, hydraulic power, mechanical power, generator, and efficiency, which decreases with the level of water immersion in the last blade.

Abstract

Abstrak: Desa Padang Luas merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Kurau yang didominasi sektor pertanian. Kelompok Tani Harapan Bersama merupakan kelompok tani di Desa Padang Luas dan beranggotakan 23 orang. Kegiatan ini bertujuan mengenalkan dan menerapkan teknologi Smart Pest Controller berbasis energi terbarukan sebagai solusi pengendalian hama ramah lingkungan. Melalui kegiatan ini, keterampilan mitra yang ditingkatkan meliputi kemampuan pengoperasian dan pemeliharaan alat pengendali hama, serta pengambilan keputusan berbasis efisiensi biaya dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Teknologi ini memanfaatkan LED ultraviolet, lampu blitz, kawat listrik tegangan tinggi, dan speaker ultrasonik untuk mengendalikan hama serangga, burung, dan tikus. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan, instalasi alat, dan evaluasi. Hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman petani terhadap teknologi pengendalian hama sebesar 102%. Dampak dari penerapan alat ini tercermin dalam menurunnya intensitas serangan hama dan penghematan petani dari sisi ekonomi sebesar Rp 1.568.000. Penggunaan alat ini terbukti tidak hanya menekan penggunaan pestisida, tetapi juga meningkatkan keberdayaan petani dalam menghadapi ancaman hama secara berkelanjutan.Abstract: Padang Luas Village is one of the villages in Kurau Subdistrict that is dominated by the agricultural sector. The Harapan Bersama Farmer Group is a farmer group in Padang Luas Village with 23 members. This activity aims to introduce and apply renewable energy-based Smart Pest Controller technology as an environmentally friendly pest control solution. Through this activity, the partners' skills are improved, including the ability to operate and maintain pest control equipment, as well as make decisions based on cost efficiency and environmental sustainability. This technology utilizes ultraviolet LEDs, flash lights, high-voltage electric wires, and ultrasonic speakers to control insect, bird, and rodent pests. The activity was carried out through socialization, training, tool installation, and evaluation. Pre-test and post-test results showed a 102% increase in farmers' understanding of pest control technology. The impact of implementing this tool is reflected in a decrease in pest attack intensity and economic savings for farmers amounting to IDR 1,568,000. The use of this tool has been proven to not only reduce pesticide use but also increase farmers' resilience in facing pest threats in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Lanjut usia merupakan fase kehidupan yang ditandai dengan perubahan fisik, psikologis, dan sosial yang berpotensi menimbulkan kecemasan. Kondisi ini sering diperberat oleh keterbatasan dukungan spiritual dan interaksi sosial, terutama pada lansia yang tinggal di panti rehabilitasi sosial. Salah satu pendekatan nonfarmakologis yang dapat diterapkan untuk membantu mengelola kecemasan adalah terapi dzikir yang dipadukan dengan dukungan teman sebaya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan lansia dalam pengelolaan kecemasan melalui terapi dzikir Sayyidul Istighfar dengan dukungan teman sebaya di Panti Perlindungan dan Rehabilitasi Sosial Lanjut Usia (PPRSLU) Budi Sejahtera Banjarbaru. Metode yang digunakan adalah edukasi partisipatif melalui penyuluhan kesehatan dan pemeriksaan tanda vanda-vital, pengkajian HARS, serta praktik dzikir bersama dengan pendampingan. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) dengan desain pre-testdan post-test. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 30 lansia penghuni PPRSLU. Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan lansia mengenai pengelolaan kecemasan serta penurunan tingkat kecemasan setelah intervensi. Terapi dzikir Sayyidul Istighfar yang dikombinasikan dengan dukungan teman sebaya efektif membantu menurunkan kecemasan lansia dan layak direkomendasikan sebagai intervensi spiritual-sosial berkelanjutan di panti rehabilitasi sosial. Kata Kunci: Dzikir Sayyidul Istighfar, Kecemasan, Teman Sebaya, Keperawatan Gerontik.  ABSTRACT Old age is a phase of life marked by physical, psychological, and social changes that may increase anxiety among elderly individuals. This condition is often worsened by limited spiritual support and reduced social interaction, particularly for elderly people living in social rehabilitation centers. One non-pharmacological approach that may help manage anxiety is dzikir therapy combined with peer support. This community service activity aimed to improve elderly individuals’ knowledge of anxiety management through Sayyidul Istighfar dzikir therapy supported by peer interaction at the Budi Sejahtera Banjarbaru Elderly Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center (PPRSLU). The method used was participatory education through health counseling and assessment of vital signs, HARS assessment, as well as guided group dhikr practice with accompaniment. Evaluation was conducted using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) with a pre-test and post-test design. This activity involved 30 elderly residents of PPRSLU. The intervention showed an increase in participants’ knowledge regarding anxiety management and a reduction in anxiety levels after the implementation of dzikir therapy with peer support. Sayyidul Istighfar dzikir therapy combined with peer support is effective in enhancing knowledge and reducing anxiety among elderly individuals. This approach is recommended as a sustainable spiritual and social intervention to support mental health in elderly social rehabilitation centers. Keywords: Sayyidul Istighfar Dzikir, Anxiety, Peers, Geriatric Nursing.

Abstract

Purun tikus fiber (Eleocharis dulcis) is a promising natural fiber for environmentally friendly composite reinforcement due to its abundant availability and relatively high cellulose content. However, the presence of lignin, hemicellulose, and surface impurities can reduce interfacial bonding and mechanical performance. This study investigated the effect of alkali treatment type and immersion time on the mechanical and morphological properties of single purun tikus fibers. The fibers were treated in 5 wt.% NaOH and Ca(OH)₂ solutions for 3, 6, and 9 h, with three specimens prepared for each treatment variation. Mechanical characterization included single-fiber tensile testing based on ASTM C1557 to determine tensile strength, strain, and elastic modulus, pull-out testing to evaluate interfacial shear strength, and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) analysis to observe surface morphology changes. The results showed that the the most favorable treatment condition was obtained using NaOH for 3 h. Under this condition, the interfacial shear strength increased from 2.858 MPa to 3.394 MPa, corresponding to an improvement of approximately 18.8%, while the tensile strength was maintained at 0.681 MPa, close to that of the untreated fiber (0.685 MPa). In contrast, longer immersion times of 6 and 9 h reduced the tensile strength and interfacial performance, indicating fiber degradation due to excessive alkalization. FESEM observations confirmed that short-duration alkali treatment improved surface cleanliness and roughness, whereas prolonged treatment caused cracks and structural damage. These findings indicate that controlled NaOH treatment is more effective than Ca(OH)₂ in improving the suitability of purun tikus fiber as a composite reinforcement.
