Abstract

Kegiatan literasi pada anak-anak tergolong rendah termasuk di Dusun Pondok Songkar, Lombok Tengah. Anak-anak yang masih bersekolah lebih banyak menghabiskan waktunya untuk bermain. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi kondisi literasi yang rendah di kalangan anak-anak, salah satunya seperti minimnya fasilitas tempat membaca. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk menggalakan kegiatan literasi melalui taman baca sehingga dapat menjadi wadah yang mendorong dan meningkatkan budaya literasi di kalangan generasi muda khususnya anak-anak. Strategi yang digunakan dengan menghadirkan Taman Baca Mini yang dilengkapi dengan beberapa sumber bacaan, serta pendampingan jangka Panjang. Keberadaan taman baca mini saat ini mulai menarik rasa antusias anak-anak di Dusun Pondok Songkar untuk mulai membaca buku. Taman baca mini di Dusun Pondok Songkar menjadi sarana yang meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan masyarakat terutama generasi muda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tipe kesalahan dan faktor-faktor penyebab siswa kelas VI SD melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita operasi hitung campuran berdasarkan Fong’s Schematic Model for Error Analysis. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 1928 siswa. Mereka adalah siswa kelas VI SD di Kecamatan Kebumen, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia dan sampel berjumlah 522 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa soal tes berbentuk uraian yang disajikan dalam soal cerita. Instrumen dinyatakan valid berdasarkan validitas isi dan konstruk. Koefisien reliabilitas instrument sebesar 0,83. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tipe kesalahan yang dominan dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita yang melibatkan dua operasi hitung tidak setara adalah prosedur yang tidak relevan atau E2, sedangkan tipe kesalahan yang dominan dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita yang melibatkan tiga atau lebih operasi hitung adalah skema lengkap degan kesalahan. Kedua, faktor yang menyebabkan siswa melakukan kesalahan adalah kesalahan bahasa dan pemahaman dan kesalahan operasional.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the views of PGSD students of Mataram University regarding statistics and its teaching. This type of research is a survey given to 142 PGSD students who have taken educational statistics courses as a sample. The research instrument is a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics with the help of SPSS software. The study results are divided into two aspects: views on statistics and teaching statistics. The results obtained from the aspect of views on statistics are (1) The understanding of statistics as the development of science and a branch of statistical science is an understanding that has been agreed upon by most students; (2) Regarding the objectives of the statistics course at the University of Mataram which is mandatory, students stated that they agree that the objective is to draw valid conclusions in research. Furthermore, the results obtained in terms of views on statistics teaching are: (1) Most students have the main motivation to study statistics to fulfill semester credit units and want to master and apply the main lecture material; (2) The hope of most respondents after taking the statistics course is to be able to apply statistics in research/final assignments; (3) if they have difficulty understanding the material, students will ask their colleagues.

Abstract

Numeracy is an essential skill that must be possessed to be successful in the 21st century. Numeration contains complex problems that link mathematics to everyday life. It is necessary to know the numeracy abilities of prospective elementary school teacher students as an initial effort to develop the numeracy abilities of future elementary school teachers. Apart from that, knowing what errors arise in solving numeracy questions is necessary to know what actions to use to develop the numeracy of prospective elementary school teachers. One theory that can be used to see student errors in solving numeracy questions is based on Newman's Errors Analysis (NEA). This research used a qualitative approach involving 154 students, of which 124 experienced errors. The research results showed that there were student errors in Reading Errors (R) at 9.68%, Comprehension Errors (C) at 27.42%, Transformation Errors (T) at 22.58%, Process Skills Errors (P) at 35, 48%, and Encoding Errors (E) of 4.84%. These errors are caused by students not being able to understand the basic concept of fractions, incorrect conceptual understanding regarding the concept of fractions, and students not understanding how to write fraction symbols and what two fractions have in common

Abstract

Teknologi dan pendidikan adalah dua hal yang tidak bisa dipisahkan. Teknologi memberikan dampak signifikan dalam pencapaian tujuan pendidikan, salah satu contohnya teknologi dapat membantu mahasiswa menyelesaikan skripsi dengan baik. workshop ini bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan kepada mahasiswa bagaiamana menentukan research gap dan novelty menggunakan aplikasi Vosviewer dan Publish or Perish dalam menyusun skripsi. Skripsi merupakan salah satu syarat yang harus di selesaikan mahasiswa untuk mencapai gelar sarjana. Namun kondisi dilapangan tidak sedikit mahasiswa merasa kesulitan menyelesaikan skripsinya. selain itu skripsi yang dihasilkan sering kali minim nilai kebaruan/novelty karena mahasiswa sulit mencari ide ataupun research gap yang tepat dalam menentukan ide penelitian. Workshop ini diharapkan mampu mengurai kesulitan yang dihadapi mahasiswa dalam menggali ide penelitian yang tinggi akan nilai novelty dan membantu mahasiswa mejaring referensi yang tepat dalam menunjang penyelesaian skripsinya. Workshop ini diikuti oleh mahasiswa semester 6 prodi PGSD FKIP universitas mataram. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan empat tahap yaitu tahap koordinasi, propmsi, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi serta pelaporan. Kegiatan worshop ini diselenggarakan pada tanggal 27 Mei 2023 yang berlangsung dengan lancar. Berdasarkan hasil respon peserta setelah kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini dapat memberikan pemahaman yang baik tentang bagaiamana menentuka research gap dan novelty menggunakan aplikasi vosviewer dan publish or perish.

Abstract

Reference and citation management skills are essential skills in writing scientific papers. Unfortunately, many students still have not mastered the technique optimally, which has an impact on the low quality of the scientific papers they produce. This workshop was held to equip students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) of the University of Mataram (UNRAM) with an understanding and practical skills in using the Mendeley application as a reference and citation management tool. This activity is divided into 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. In the preparation stage, the research team first coordinated with partners, then conducted participant recruitment and divided the job descriptions of each team member. The implementation stage includes the presentation of the basic concept of reference and citation management, introduction to Mendeley features, simulations and trying out direct practice using the Mendeley application. Furthermore, the evaluation stage is carried out through analysis of the results of the pre-test and post-test as well as participant response questionnaires regarding the implementation of the activities that have taken place. This evaluation aims to see the extent to which the objectives of the activities carried out have been achieved. This workshop activity was carried out at campus 2 FKIP Universitas Mataram on May 27, 2023. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest, there was an increase in the understanding of students participating in the workshop regarding how to manage references using the Mendeley application and also citations. Where participants were able to apply basic features such as managing reference documents, inserting automatic citations, and compiling bibliographies. Based on the results of participant responses to the workshop activities carried out, on average students gave positive responses.

Abstract

AbstrakPermasalahan sampah plastik yang sulit terurai menjadi tantangan lingkungan yang mendesak, termasuk di lingkungan sekolah dasar. Artikel ini membahas implementasi workshop ecoprint sebagai media edukatif dalam upaya mengurangi sampah plastik di SD Negeri 1 Ampenan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project-Based Learning) yang melibatkan 60 siswa kelas IV, dibagi dalam 14 kelompok. Mereka diberi pelatihan teknik ecoprint menggunakan metode “pounding” untuk menghias tas kain sebagai alternatif ramah lingkungan pengganti kantong plastik. Proyek ini terdiri dari dua tahap utama, yaitu sosialisasi dan pelaksanaan kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa tidak hanya memahami isu lingkungan, tetapi juga mengembangkan keterampilan motorik, kerja sama, dan kreativitas melalui aktivitas yang menyenangkan. Program ini terbukti efektif sebagai sarana edukasi lingkungan sekaligus penguatan karakter peduli lingkungan sejak usia dini. Kata Kunci: ecoprint; sampah plastik; SDN 1 Ampenan. AbstractThe issue of non-degradable plastic waste poses an urgent environmental challenge, including in primary school environments. This article discusses the implementation of an ecoprint workshop as an educational tool to reduce plastic waste at SD Negeri 1 Ampenan. The activity employed a project-based learning approach involving 60 fourth-grade students divided into 14 groups. They were trained in the "pounding" ecoprint technique to decorate cloth bags as eco-friendly alternatives to plastic bags. The project consisted of two main stages: a socialization session and the main workshop. The results indicate that students not only gained awareness of environmental issues but also developed fine motor skills, collaboration, and creativity through engaging activities. This program proved effective in fostering environmental education and instilling environmental awareness from an early age. Keywords: ecoprint; plastic waste; SDN 1 Ampenan.

Abstract

Pemacahan masalah matematika adalah bentuk proses berpikir siswa untuk menemukan solusi dari suatu permasalahan matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan masalah pecahan siswa kelas III SDN 27 Cakranegara menggunakan Newman Procedure, yang mencakup lima tahapan: kesalahan membaca, kesalahan memahami, kesalahan transformasi, kesalahan keterampilan proses, kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan 22 siswa sebagai subjek. Data diperoleh melalui tes tertulis dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa 5 butir soal yang mencakup materi menentukan pecahan senilai, mengurutkan, membandingkan pecahan serta pedoman wawancara. Hasil menunjukan persentase kesalahan siswa yaitu: kesalahan membaca 4.54%, kesalahan memahami 24.45%, kesalahan transfromasi 48.18%, kesalahan keterampilan proses 81.81%, kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir 83.63%, faktor penyebab kesalahan meliputi siswa tidak mampu membaca kalimat/simbol, siswa tidak sepenuhnya memahami masalah, ketidakmampuan siswa mengubah soal narasi menjadi matematis, kurangnya keterampilan siswa dalam berhitung dan memilih strategi yang tepat, tidak terbiasa dan tergesa-gesa dalam menuliskan kesimpulan. Kesalahan tertinggi terjadi pada tahap keterampilan proses dan penulisan jawaban akhir, yang mengindikasikan bahwa siswa kesulitan dalam operasi pecahan dan menyusun jawaban akhir. Oleh karena itu guru perlu menekankan pemahaman konsep pecahan dan memberikan lebih banyak latihan soal agar siswa terbiasa memecahkan masalah matematika.

Abstract

Character values are a set of attitudes, behaviors, and morals that guide individuals in acting and interacting in everyday life. Instilling character values from an early age is very important because it plays a role in shaping the personality of students so that they become individuals with noble character, are responsible, able to cooperate, and have the ability to think critically in facing various life problems. This study aims to analyze the implementation of character values in Pancasila Education learning at State Elementary School 6 Ampenan. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with research subjects of educators and fifth grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that there are  character values implemented in Pancasila Education learning, namely faith and piety, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, and critical reasoning. The values of faith and piety are reflected through prayer activities before learning and polite attitudes. The value of global diversity is seen from the attitude of respecting differences and tolerance. The value of mutual cooperation is evident in students' cooperation during group discussions. The value of independence is reflected in their responsibility in completing assignments and self-confidence. Meanwhile, the value of critical reasoning is evident in students' ability to ask and answer questions during the learning process.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Augmented Reality (AR) media on fifth-grade students’ understanding of geometric solid concepts at SDN 27 Cakranegara. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research population consisted of 43 fifth-grade students divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data collection techniques included observation and essay tests administered during the pretest and posttest. Data analysis was conducted through normality testing, homogeneity testing, and hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test. The findings revealed that the experimental class obtained a higher posttest mean score (68.91) compared to the control class (55.60). The hypothesis test results indicated a significance value of 0.009 < 0.05 and a calculated t value of 2.729 > t table of 2.013, indicating that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the PBL model assisted by AR media had a significant effect on students’ understanding of geometric solid concepts. The use of AR media also enhanced students’ activeness, enthusiasm, and engagement during the learning process.
