Abstract

Peran guru sebagai bagian dari tenaga pendidik merupakan profesi yang menantang. Terdapat banyak kemampuan harus dimiliki guru seperti pengetahuan akan materi yang diajarkan, keterampilan mengajar, kemampuan pengelolaan waktu, perencanaan pengajaran yang efektif, pengelolaan kelas, dan berbagai keterampilan yang mendukung lainnya. Oleh sebab itu, guru memerlukan teacher effectiveness agar dapat menjalankan tugas dan tanggung jawab secara efektif. Salah satu variabel yang memengaruhi teacher effectiveness yaitu kecerdasan emosi. Penelitian ini berupaya menggali pengaruh emotional intelligence terhadap teacher effentiveness. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada panelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 44 yang berprofesi sebagai guru sekolah dasar. Skala yang diguanakan yaitu Teacher Effectiveness Scale dan Self-Rated Emotional Intelligence Scale. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analysis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa emotional intelligence berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap teacher effectiveness.

Abstract

The ability to read is an indispensable competency for every individual, one of the reading skills is the ability to read beginning for low grade elementary school students. By reading, individuals are able to communicate or understand knowledge for their purposes. The subject of this research is a grade I elementary school student with low reading skills. The purpose of this study to improve the subject’s reading ability using the fernald method so the subject is able to understand the reading that is read. The research method used is quantitative with Single Subject Research (SSR) design with data analysis using quantitative descriptive analysis in the form of graph analysis. The conclusion in this study is that the use of the fernald method can improve the subject’s beginning reading ability.

Abstract

Idayatul Khasanah (190701009). Differences in Optimism in Students of SMA NU 2 Gresik Reviewed by Gender. This study aims to determine the Differences in Optimism in Students of SMA NU 2 Gresik Reviewed from Gender. This study uses a quantitative approach, with a comparative method. Respondents in this study were students of SMA NU 2 Gresik. The sampling technique with nonprobability sampling using accidental sampling technique. A total of 110 respondents. The scale validity test uses content validity. Reliability test uses Alpha Cornbach. This study uses an optimism scale with a reliability of 0,885. Data analysis uses a different test, namely the independent sample t-test. The results of the hypothesis test show that the hypothesis of this study (Hₐ) is rejected because the Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.076> 0.05. So, there is no significant difference in optimism in gender. The unproven hypothesis in this study can be caused by various factors that influence students' overall optimism. These factors include socio-economic conditions, the culture that applies in the student's environment, the area of residence (village or city), and social interaction patterns that are formed in schools and families.

Abstract

Increased rhythm of dual role student activity results in role conflict, caused dual role student need to fulfillment of demands from two sides of activities that have different goals. Based on initial interview we found industrial engineering dual role students have qualified for academic burnout dimention: exhaustion, cynicism, and diminished personal accomplishment.  This research is very important with purpose to prove psychological training effectiveness to reduce academic burnout for dual role students. This research is part of quantitative methode with experimental approach use one group pretest-posttest design with psychological capital intervention as independent variable. From the research sample, 8 people of the industrial engineering dual role students were determined.
