Abstract

The objectives of this study are describing to 1) Students of SMP IT Mutiara response to the use of Science Teaching Module, 2) Students of SMP Muhammadiyah Makassar response to the use of Science Teaching Module, 3) All Students response to the Science Teaching Module. This research used a quantitative approach using a descriptive methodology. The population are students of SMP IT Mutiara IT and SMP Muhammadiyah Makassar registered in the 2022–2025 academic year who use scientific teaching modules provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture are the research population. This research used random sampling techniques. The data was collected by questionnaire. The results of this study showed that 1) The response of students at SMP IT Mutiara to the science teaching module are 20% in very good category, 61% in good category, 16% in moderate category 2) The response of students at Muhammadiyah Makassar to the science teaching module are 34% in very good category, 37% in good category, 7% in moderate category and 12% in bad category 3) The response of All students in both school in this research are 27% in very good category, 49% in good category, 17% in moderate category, and 8% in bad category.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the diagnostic ability of ICP science students FMIPA UNM in the Electricity and Magnetism course. This research uses descriptive research with a Quizizz-based qualitative approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data collection technique used in this study was a multiple choice diagnostic test accessed through the Quizizz platform online. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, and average) and item analysis (index of difficulty and differentiating power of the questions. Quizizz-based diagnostic tests for electrical and magnetic topics are effective enough to evaluate students' initial abilities. Most questions have a moderate difficulty level and sufficient to good differentiating power; however, some questions have low or negative differentiating power and need to be corrected. The results showed that students' diagnostic ability in Electricity And Magnetism’s Course using quizziz platform was at 5,0 score which in a low category. This research serves as a basis for the development of better diagnostic tests to achieve learning objectives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze 1) The Score of Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of International Class Program (ICP) students of Science Education Study Program FMIPA UNM, 2) The Score of Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of International Class Program (ICP) students in relation to the speed of answering questions. This is a descriptive quantitative research involved 18 students, with an instrument in the form of a Quizizz application-based test. Data were analyzed descriptive statistic based on the distribution of correct answer values and also the time to answer the science questions. The results of the research showed that: (1) The average score of higher order thinking skills of IPA ICP FMIPA UNM students was 42,8 in a medium category. The frequency of students were in the categories Very high was 0% , high was 17%, medium was 33%, low was 44% and Very low was 16%. (2) Students who answered at a moderate speed (21-30 seconds) had the highest average score of 66.67, indicating that moderate time management provides better results than a very fast speed (0-10 seconds) or very slow (≥41 seconds), with scores of 36.67% and 44.17% respectively. This research confirms that moderate management of answering time supports better learning outcomes. To improve HOTS abilities, it is recommended to implement problem-based learning and regular practice of HOTS questions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine laboratory management systems across primary and secondary education levels in Indonesia—namely elementary (SD), junior high (SMP), and senior high schools (SMA)—with a focus on practices, challenges, and improvement strategies. The research method employed is a literature review, analyzing 30 relevant national journals, consisting of 10 for each educational level. The findings reveal that the application of management functions (planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling) varies across levels and depends on available resources. At the elementary level, laboratory management remains basic and is often undocumented. In junior high schools, formal structures begin to develop, yet they are hampered by the lack of technical personnel and inadequate facilities. Senior high schools exhibit more structured and complex management systems, though still challenged by insufficient evaluation mechanisms and staff training. The study concludes that effective laboratory management requires ongoing teacher training, supportive policies, and the integration of technology to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality in science education. Recommendations include enhancing teacher capacity, recruiting professional laboratory technicians, and establishing SOPs based on national education standards.

Abstract

This study is a analyze the relationship between attendance scores and Final Semester Examination (UAS) achievements in the Basic Entrepreneurship course for students of the Science Education Study Program at Makassar State University class of 2024. The data used includes attendance scores and UAS scores from 29 students. The analysis results show that the average student attendance score is 81.4, while the average UAS score is 64.1. Pearson correlation analysis resulted in a coefficient value of 0.717 with a significance value of p < 0.001, which indicates a strong and significant positive relationship between attendance scores and final exam grades. This finding confirms that the level of student attendance greatly influences the achievement of final exam scores in entrepreneurship courses. Therefore, increasing the discipline of attendance and active involvement in the learning process is the key to student academic success

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Negeri 2 Pallangga pada materi tata surya dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran discovery learning dan pengunaan media audiovisual. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Negeri 2 Pallangga tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Pengambilan data penelitian menggunakan instrumen tes motivasi dan tes pilihan ganda pada materi tata surya. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah penerapan model Discovery Learning dan media pembelajaran audiovisual pada pembelajaran IPA materi tata surya dapat meningkatkan (1) motivasi belajar peserta didik sebelum mengikuti proses pembelajaran memiliki peserntase terendah sebesar 31,53 berada pada kategori rendah dan mengalami peningkatan setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran yakni dengan persentase sebesar 53,83% pada salah satu dimensi yang dikategorikan tinggi. (2) hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus I dengan rata – rata ketuntasan hasil belajar sebesar 69,23% kemudian meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 76,92% dan terakhir pada siklus III sebesar 92,3%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar dan keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik di setiap siklus dengan menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas melalui model pembelajaran discovery learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket, observasi langsung dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning, keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik berada pada kategori rendah, sedangkan setalah penerapan discovery learning berada pada kategori tinggi. Adapun hasil belajar pada siklus 1 dan 2 tidak mengalami perubahan yang siginfikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan minat belajar yang diikuti dengan peningkatan hasil belajar IPA siswa melalui model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Adapun jenis penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subyek penelitian kelas VII E UPT SPF SMP Negeri 32 Makassar yang berjumlah 24 orang. Pengambilan data menggunakan 3 cara yaitu Observasi, Angket dan Tes. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan persentase rata-rata dari minat dan hasil belajar IPA, kemudian dibandingkan menggunakan tabel pengkategorian minat dan hasil belajar. Dalam pelaksanaannya terdapat 3 siklus yaitu Pra Siklus, Siklus I dan Siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dapat menjadi cara untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar IPA. Peningkatan ini dapat dibuktikan dari persentase minat belajar yang meningkat di setiap siklusnya. Di mana Pra siklus sebesar 69% masuk kategori cukup, meningkat menjadi 83% pada Siklus I dan masuk ke dalam kategori Tinggi. Kemudian secara persentase meningkat menjadi 85% pada siklus II masuk kategori tinggi. Peningkatan minat belajar ini diikuti pula dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar siswa di mana pada siklus 1 rata-rata hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIIE hanya 55 mana masuk dalam ketgori sedang sedangkan pada siklus II menjadi 72.5 sudah masuk kategori sangat tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPA peserta didik menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning pada peserta didik kelas VII.1 UPT SMP Negeri 3 Alla. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subyek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII.1 SMP Negeri 3 Alla yang berjumlah 25 peserta didik. Penelitian ini memuat 2 siklus di dalamnya dengan target motivasi pada pra siklus, siklus 1 dan siklus 2 ialah motivasi peserta didik dalam kategori rendah, tinggi dan sangat tinggi sedangkan pada hasil belajar yaitu nilai KKM kelas pada siklus 1 dan siklus 2 ialah 75. Hasil penelitian motivasi pada siklus 1 adalah 2 peserta didik katergori sangat tinggi, 13 peserta didik kategori tinggi, 8 peserta didik kategori rendah dan 2 peserta didik lainnya kategori sangat rendah. Pada siklus 2, motivasi belajar 10 peserta didik kategori sangat tinggi, 12 peserta didik kategori tinggi dan 3 peserta didik kategori rendah. Hasil belajar peserta didik siklus 1, 11 peserta didik mencapai tuntas atau 44% dan 14 peserta didik tidak tuntas atau 56%. Pada siklus 2 16 peserta didik dikatakan tuntas atau 64% dan 9 dikatakan tidak tuntas atau 36%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar peserta didik.
