Abstract

Persoalan lingkungan hidup di Indonesia merupakan kenyataan yang tak terhindarkan. Salah satu yang cukup menyita perhatian adalahpersoalan reklamasi teluk Benoa Bali. Artikel ini bermaksud untuk menganalisis persoalan tersebut dari sudut pandang teologi Kristen dalam dialog dengan konsep ekologi Hindu dari Vandana Shiva. Tujuannya agar ada analisis teologi kontekstual yang mampu memaparkan persoalanekologi dari sudut pandang Kristen namun juga mempertimbangkan pemikiran dalam konteks yang sementara dihadapi.

Abstract

Global citizens of the world are entering a new era, the era of disruption. Terminologically, disruption means the era of chaos or the era of the disturbance. In the Indonesian dictionary, disruption is interpreted as being uprooted from the root. In the era of disruption, nothing is certain and established. The rapid development of information technology has a big influence on this era. This causes the level of local and global competition and competition among individuals or even countries becomes a necessity. Recently the situation of the Americans and Iran has heated up. Indonesia and China also. In a competition, superior-inferior relations become necessary. In such situations, the preservation of nature becomes the most easily ignored, or even sacrificed. For a moment, in competition between individuals or between countries to prove their superiority, nature became the most powerless and inferior. If the balance of nature is disturbed, the most disadvantaged are humans as well as animals. Forest and land fires in Australia are conclusive evidence. When nature is disturbed, humans and animals are the first victims to feel the loss. This issue is the background of the writing of this research. This research seeks to elaborate on the Christian eco-theology notion and to dialogue it with the Hindu cosmology notion. The method used is qualitative research with a comparative study approach. This research is expected to contribute ideas and also enriching the Christian eco-theological dialogue with Hindu cosmology in the era of disruption, in particular concerning the environment.

Abstract

Abstract This article is written based on my observation and experience, who "sucked" into populer culture. People inevitably will always "sucked" into the black hole of culture. In popular culture, people are considered to be humans if only they satisfy their libido. So, popular culture can blurring self identity in the society, because communal similarity is preferred. Self identity formed from communal understanding of popular culture concept and force someone to follow it. Therefore, the challenge of popular culture to spirituality is very obvious because it concerns a person identity. Spirituality always departs from the inside to the outside. While the phenomenon of popular culture, the meaning is controlled by the community and adapted into self. This article written to realizing the importance of spiritual growth in the context of popular culture, which can be done firstly through Christian Education. Abstrak Artikel ini ditulis berdasarkan pengamatan dan pengalaman penulis sendiri yang turut "terhisap" dalam budaya populer. Manusia mau tidak mau akan selalu terhisap ke dalam lubang hitam kebudayaan. Dalam budaya populer, manusia dianggap menjadi manusia ketika kepuasan libidonya dapat terpenuhi. Budaya populer yang demikian dapat mengaburkan identitas individu dalam masyarakat, karena kesamaan komunallah yang lebih diutamakan. Identitas diri terbentuk dari pemahaman komunal akan konsep budaya yang populer dan "memaksa" individu untuk mengikutinya. Oleh karena itu, tantangan budaya populer terhadap spiritualitas sangatlah jelas karena menyangkut identitas diri seseorang. Spiritualitas selalu berangkat dari dalam diri menuju ke luar. Sedangkan dalam fenomena budaya populer, makna dikendalikan oleh masyarakat dan berujung pada adaptasi ke dalam diri. Artikel ini ditulis untuk menyadarkan pentingnya pertumbuhan spiritualitas dalam konteks budaya populer, yang pertama-tama dapat dilakukan melalui Pendidikan Kristiani.

Abstract

Abstract Evangelism and da'wah are two obligations or responsibilities of people, Christians and muslims. I wonder how long these two religions involved in a "cold war" or even a real war, because of arrogant fundamentalist notion. Arrogant because with full consciousness has monopolized the truth, and act like they own the only true God. God has been reduced to their own and considers others deify the wrong god. As a result, the shape of evangelism is not far from the impression of christianization, and the form of da'wah not far from the impression of islamization. Whereas, we find the plural phenomenon in Indonesia. In fact, with the philosophy of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, Indonesian society should be able to appreciate and preserve otherness in harmony better. But reality says different. Christianization and islamization, plural occurs. Intention to write this article, arose from this concern. How evangelism and da'wah should be done in the context of the plurality of Indonesia, so in the end, You and I become Us. Abstrak Misi penginjilan dan dakwah merupakan dua kewajiban atau tanggung jawab umat Kristen dan Islam. Entah telah berapa lama dua agama ini terlibat "perang dingin" atau malah perang nyata, dikarenakan pemahaman fundamentalis yang arogan. Arogan karena dengan kesadaran penuh telah memonopoli kebenaran dan bertindak seolah Tuhan yang benar hanyalah miliknya. Tuhan telah direduksi menjadi miliknya sendiri dan menganggap orang lain telah mempertuhankan tuhan yang salah. Alhasil, bentuk misi penginjilan tak jauh dari kesan kristenisasi, dan bentuk dakwah tak jauh dari kesan islamisasi. Fenomena demikian jamak kita temukan di Indonesia. Padahal, dengan falsafah Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, harusnya masyarakat Indonesia lebih mampu menghargai keberbedaan dan melestarikannya dalam harmoni. Tetapi, sering kenyataan berkata lain, kristenisasi dan islamisasi, jamak terjadi. Dalam keprihatinan demikianlah lahir niatan untuk menulis artikel ini. Bagaimana misi penginjilan dan dakwah harusnya dilakukan dalam konteks plural Indonesia, sehingga pada akhirnya, aku dan kamu bisa menjadi kita.

Abstract

Religious-based conflicts arise in diverse societies and tend to be triggered by simpler issues that expand into large-scale conflicts in the name of religion. The aim of this community service is to build solidarity and tolerance among the community as a form of anticipation against religiously nuanced conflicts in Entrop, Jayapura City. This community service is framed in the form of a religious moderation village initiated by STAKPN-Sentani. The method applied in this community service has gone through several stages, such as observation and interviews, FGD (focus group discussions) as the core activity, the declaration of the moderation village, and the preparation of reports. The outcomes achieved from this initiative include the development of an understanding of religious conflict mitigation based on religious teachings, where this mitigation involves comprehension of quotes from each religion's holy scriptures. Additionally, the culmination of this activity is the establishment of the religious moderation village guided by STAKPN-Sentani in Entrop. Religious conflict mitigation in Entrop is closely related to the discourse in holy scriptures and the involvement of religious higher education, due to the framework of the community's condition. It is hoped that through this initiative, a sense of tolerance among religious communities can be fostered to create an always conducive atmosphere.

Abstract

Conflict based on religion arose from a multicultural society, often triggered by simple issues and escalated into larger conflicts under the guise of religion. The objective of this community service was to build solidarity and tolerance in the District Entrop community in Jayapura City through the Moderate Religious Village activity initiated by STAKPN-Sentani. The method applied in this service went through several stages such as observation and interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD) as the core activity, declaration of the moderate village, and preparation of reports. The results of this activity included the formation of an understanding of mitigating religious conflict based on religious texts, where this mitigation involved an understanding of excerpts from the scriptures of each religion. Additionally, the culmination of the activity was the establishment of a moderated religious village under the guidance of STAKPN-Sentani in the Entrop Sub-district. Mitigating religious conflict in the Entrop Sub-district was closely linked to discourse within religious scriptures and the involvement of higher religious education due to the framework of the community's conditions.

Abstract

The main problem in this service is the low intellectual abilities of children at the GKI Eden Anggaduber Sunday School in East Biak regarding Christian religious education. The aim of Community Service (PkM) is to strengthen Christian religious education by increasing children's intellectual abilities based on Bloom's Taxonomy. The methods used include lectures, demonstrations and interactive discussions. As a result, children experience improvements in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects through a deeper understanding of Bible teachings and their application in everyday life. They demonstrate the ability to memorize, analyze, and apply Christian values. In conclusion, this program succeeded in strengthening Christian religious education while improving children's intellectual abilities in accordance with the principles of Bloom's Taxonomy, creating a strong foundation for sustainable spiritual and intellectual growth at GKI Eden Anggaduber.

Abstract

In Hinekombe Village, religious diversity encourages efforts to strengthen religious moderation among youth across faiths. Community service activities focus on strengthening religious moderation for interfaith youth in the Religious Moderation Village assisted by STAKPN Sentani, which aims to increase understanding and practice of religious moderation in order to create social harmony. The methods used in this activity are lectures, interactive discussions, and questions and answers involving youth from various religious backgrounds. In addition, a community-based approach is implemented by encouraging active youth participation in various social activities and interfaith dialogue. Evaluation is carried out through measuring participants' understanding before and after the activity, as well as observing the impact of the program in daily life. The results of the activity showed that the interfaith youth involved experienced an increased understanding of the importance of religious moderation and had a stronger commitment to implementing the values of tolerance and togetherness. Collaboration with the government, religious leaders and educational institutions plays an important role in supporting the sustainability of this program. In conclusion, this PkM succeeded in having a positive impact on interfaith youth in the Religious Moderation Village. With sustainable activities, it is hoped that a more inclusive and harmonious environment will be created in social life.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competence of academic writers at STAKPN Sentani in using Mendeley reference management software. The training was designed to help lecturers and writers meet current regulations for producing and publishing scientific works. Participants were grouped into novice writers and those with low SINTA scores. Using an On-the-Job Training (OJT) approach, the sessions were held directly in the participants’ workplace. twenty writers from the departments of Christian Religious Education, Church Music, Theology, and Early Childhood Education took part. The program included initial coordination, core training, and outcome evaluation. Results showed that all participants successfully mastered the use of Mendeley, enabling them to improve the quality and quantity of scientific publications and thereby contribute to increasing the overall SINTA score of STAKPN Sentani.Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi penulis akademik di STAKPN Sentani dalam menggunakan perangkat lunak manajemen referensi Mendeley. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk membantu dosen dan penulis memenuhi ketentuan terkini dalam penyusunan dan publikasi karya ilmiah. Peserta dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu penulis pemula dan penulis dengan skor SINTA rendah. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan On-the-Job Training (OJT), sesi pelatihan dilaksanakan langsung di lingkungan kerja peserta. Sebanyak dua puluh penulis yang berasal dari Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Kristen, Musik Gereja, Teologi, dan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini mengikuti kegiatan ini. Program meliputi tiga tahapan yakni koordinasi awal, pelatihan inti, dan evaluasi hasil. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta berhasil menguasai penggunaan Mendeley, sehingga mampu meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas publikasi ilmiah serta berkontribusi pada peningkatan skor SINTA STAKPN Sentani secara keseluruhan.
