Abstract

Orientasi pengembangan pendidikan tinggi yang berbasis nilai dan karakter menjadi hal yang mendasar dan berkontribusi secara signifikan bagi kemajuan pembangunan yang berorientasi pada manusia. Sebagai pusat keunggulan bangsa Indonesia, Perguruan Tinggi dituntut untuk memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk dan mengarahkan karakter generasi bangsa. Perguruan Tinggi juga memegang kendali melalui sejumlah kebijakan untuk menerapkan disiplin bagi mahasiswa. Namun, terhadap problem pengembangan karakter disiplin pada mahasiswa STAKPN Sentani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persoalan pengembangan karakter disiplin pada mahasiswa STAKPN Sentani, Papua. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat problem pengembangan disiplin bagi mahasiswa. Ketidakpatuhan terhadap aturan perkuliahan, terlambat mengikuti perkuliahan, terlambat mengumpulkan tugas, menghadiri perkuliahan tidak teratur, belum adanya kode etik dan aturan akademik bagi mahasiswa menghambat penerapan karakter disiplin. Kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa gambaran pengembangan karakter disiplin mahasiswa masih relatif kurang. Dalam upaya menumbuhkan karakter disiplin mahasiswa, dosen berperan sebagai teladan, menunjukkan ketegasan dan integritas. Kata Kunci: Problematika, Pengembangan, Karakter Disiplin, Mahasiswa

Abstract

This study stems from the researcher's concern about the education agency's policy that ignores the development of Christian Religious Education teacher competencies through workshops, workshops, and seminars and the teacher's efforts that are not optimal in developing pedagogical, professional, personality, and social abilities in the world of work. The purpose of this study is to analyze the problematic performance of PAK teachers in State Junior High Schools in Sentani District, Jayapura Regency in the world of work. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative, while data collection techniques are interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results showed that PAK teachers at SMP Se-Distrik Sentani Kota have not been optimal in improving pedagogical and professional competencies as support in the world of work. Another finding is that in the aspect of personality and social competence, teachers only focus on the internal school and ignore the external school. The school has not played an optimal role in developing the professional and social competence of PAK teachers through scientific activities of workshops, workshops, and seminars.

Abstract

Menulis adalah salah satu kemampuan yang sulit oleh guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) yang bertugas pada SD dan SMP di Kecamatan Sentani, Kabupaten Jayapura. Minimnya karya tulis ilmiah yang dihasilkan para guru ini menunjukkan bahwa belum adanya perhatian yang serius dari pihak pimpinan maupun dinas pendidikan terkait. Paru guru juga masih mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dan menulis artikel ilmiah sesuai dengan kaidah penulisan yang baik dan benar. Mereka lebih banyak bergelut dengan kegiatan belajar mengajar dan belum menjadikan kegiatan menulis sebagai bagian dari aktivitas profesionalnya. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat bagi para guru ini bertujuan untuk memberikan metode dalam melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dan menulis artikel ilmiah yang sesuai kaidah penulisan. Kegiatan PkM terlaksana pada 16 Juli 2022. Para peserta terdiri dari para guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen yang bertugas pada SD dan SMP di Kecamatan Sentani berjumlah 30 orang. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan demonstrasi. Melalui kegiatan ini, tim PkM Jurusan Pendidikan Agama Kristen STAKPN Sentani memberikan pemahaman kepada para guru untuk menulis hasil penelitian dalam bentuk PTK dan mampu mengolahnya dalam suatu karya ilmiah. Hasil PkM menunjukan adanya pemahaman dan pengetahuan guru tentang Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dan penulisan artikel ilmiah yang baik dan benar sesuai dengan kaidah-kaidah penulisan. Dengan kata lain, kegiatan PkM ini meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan guru mengenai teknik-teknik terbaik dalam melaksanakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dan menulis artikel ilmiah.Writing is a difficult skill for Christian Religious Education teachers assigned to elementary and junior high schools in Sentani Sub-district, Jayapura Regency. The lack of scientific papers produced by these teachers shows that there is no serious attention from the leadership and related education agencies. Teachers also still have difficulties conducting classroom action research and writing scientific articles following good and correct writing rules. They struggle more with teaching and learning activities and have not made writing activities part of their professional activities. This Community Service activity for teachers aims to provide methods for conducting classroom action research and writing scientific articles according to writing rules. PkM activities were carried out on July 16, 2022. The participants were 30 Christian Religious Education teachers who served in the Sentani District's elementary and junior high schools. The implementation methods used were lectures and demonstrations. Through this activity, the PkM team of the Christian Religious Education Department of STAKPN Sentani provided an understanding to the teachers to write research results in the form of PTK and process them in scientific work. The PkM results show the teachers' understanding and knowledge of Classroom Action Research and writing good and correct scientific articles following the rules of writing. In other words, this PkM activity increases teachers' understanding and knowledge of the best techniques for conducting Classroom Action Research and writing scientific articles.

Abstract

Dalam dunia pendidikan, manajemen pembelajaran berbasis teknologi semakin penting. Para guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen di SMP se-Distrik Sentani dapat memanfaatkan Kahoot dan TeamViewer untuk meningkatkan keefektifan proses pembelajaran. Melalui penerapan sistem manajemen pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, yaitu Kahoot dan TeamViewer. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan bagi para guru PAK pada SMP yang berada di Distrik Sentani. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan PkM ini memberikan kontribusi yang efektif atau pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan 20 orang guru PAK dalam memanfaatkan administrasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Sehingga, kemampuan ini dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan standar pengajaran di dalam kelas. Dengan mengintegrasikan Kahoot dan TeamViewer ke dalam pengembangan guru PAK, banyak manfaat yang dapat diperoleh, termasuk peningkatan kecakapan teknologi di antara 20 orang guru PAK, aksesibilitas pendidikan yang lebih luas, peningkatan efisiensi pembelajaran, dan peningkatan kolaborasi.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of peace education at Junior High School 2 Sentani and its impact on peace-based education management. Through a qualitative approach, data were collected through surveys, interviews and analysis of school documents. The results show that this school successfully integrates peace values in the lesson plans of several subjects and utilizes the Merdeka Curriculum to support the dimension of peace values. Teachers actively teach peace values through strategies such as the “Bestie Day” program and successfully overcome conflicts between schools and teach peace values. Measuring the integration of peace values in lesson plans and monitoring student character are used to measure peace-based education management. Peace education creates a harmonious school environment and peace-loving student characters, with positive impacts on society. The importance of a positive school climate and the role of teachers in shaping students' peaceful character. Teaching mutual understanding also helps create a harmonious environment and students' social skills. Thus, investing in peace education is a progressive step towards shaping students' character, creating a peaceful school environment and making a positive contribution to society. The implementation of peace education at the Junior High School 2 Sentani is an important step in the development of peace-based education management.

Abstract

The main problem in this service is the low intellectual abilities of children at the GKI Eden Anggaduber Sunday School in East Biak regarding Christian religious education. The aim of Community Service (PkM) is to strengthen Christian religious education by increasing children's intellectual abilities based on Bloom's Taxonomy. The methods used include lectures, demonstrations and interactive discussions. As a result, children experience improvements in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects through a deeper understanding of Bible teachings and their application in everyday life. They demonstrate the ability to memorize, analyze, and apply Christian values. In conclusion, this program succeeded in strengthening Christian religious education while improving children's intellectual abilities in accordance with the principles of Bloom's Taxonomy, creating a strong foundation for sustainable spiritual and intellectual growth at GKI Eden Anggaduber.

Abstract

This study analyzes religious moderation literacy in Christian Religious Education at YPPGI Sentani Junior High School. Focusing on the context of diversity in Indonesia, this study aims to evaluate students' understanding and the effectiveness of teaching methods that promote the values of tolerance, inclusivity, and moderation. With a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and analysis of curriculum documents. The results of the study show that religious moderation literacy has been applied through the teaching of peaceful values and respect for differences. However, there are challenges, including limited resources and a lack of a deep understanding of religious moderation. These findings confirm the importance of effective teaching strategies to improve students' moderate attitudes in daily life. This study makes a significant contribution to building a tolerant and harmonious generation, especially in a multicultural environment such as Papua, through strengthening the role of Christian religious education as a means of religious moderation literacy

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competence of academic writers at STAKPN Sentani in using Mendeley reference management software. The training was designed to help lecturers and writers meet current regulations for producing and publishing scientific works. Participants were grouped into novice writers and those with low SINTA scores. Using an On-the-Job Training (OJT) approach, the sessions were held directly in the participants’ workplace. twenty writers from the departments of Christian Religious Education, Church Music, Theology, and Early Childhood Education took part. The program included initial coordination, core training, and outcome evaluation. Results showed that all participants successfully mastered the use of Mendeley, enabling them to improve the quality and quantity of scientific publications and thereby contribute to increasing the overall SINTA score of STAKPN Sentani.Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi penulis akademik di STAKPN Sentani dalam menggunakan perangkat lunak manajemen referensi Mendeley. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk membantu dosen dan penulis memenuhi ketentuan terkini dalam penyusunan dan publikasi karya ilmiah. Peserta dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu penulis pemula dan penulis dengan skor SINTA rendah. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan On-the-Job Training (OJT), sesi pelatihan dilaksanakan langsung di lingkungan kerja peserta. Sebanyak dua puluh penulis yang berasal dari Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Kristen, Musik Gereja, Teologi, dan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini mengikuti kegiatan ini. Program meliputi tiga tahapan yakni koordinasi awal, pelatihan inti, dan evaluasi hasil. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta berhasil menguasai penggunaan Mendeley, sehingga mampu meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas publikasi ilmiah serta berkontribusi pada peningkatan skor SINTA STAKPN Sentani secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

This study investigates the ideological contestations embedded in public discourse regarding the West Java Governor’s policy on character education in military barracks. Adopting Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) framework, data were collected from eleven public figures representing diverse institutional backgrounds, whose statements were disseminated through major Indonesian online media outlets (Kompas, Detik, Tempo, NU-Online, Gesuri.id, CNN Indonesia, Liputan6) and YouTube. The findings reveal that pro-policy discourse predominantly employed legitimizing diction, affirmative modalities, and metaphors that framed military barracks as spaces for discipline and nation-building. Conversely, counter-discourse highlighted risks of child rights violations, psychological harm, and incompatibility with inclusive and holistic educational principles. These opposing discourses demonstrate intertextual practices ranging from legal references to cultural values, while also reflecting broader ideological struggles between state-driven discipline-oriented education and civil society’s advocacy for democratic, child-centered learning. The study contributes to CDA scholarship by extending its application to the underexplored domain of military-based character education in Indonesia and offers insights into how power and ideology shape the trajectory of educational policy debates.
