Abstract

The growth in the number of motorcycles is currently so rapid and has various functions, including for students. Students who have a residence that is far from the campus, the motorcycle is a very important vehicle used to go to campus. However, many students ride motorbikes even though their residences are very close to campus. The purpose of this study was to determine the motivational factors of female students riding motorbikes to go to campus. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The research data was obtained through interviews with 5 female students who ride motorbikes to go to campus with the distance between their residence and campus less than 1000 m. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the motivational factors for female students ride a motorbike instead of walking to go to campus were to save time, the distance traveled was considered far, maintain appearance, avoid fatigue, and focus more on learning. ABSTRAK Petumbuhan jumlah sepeda motor saat ini begitu pesat dan memiliki beragam fungsi diantaranya bagi mahasiswa. Mahasiswa yang memiliki tempat kediaman yang jauh dengan kampus, maka sepeda motor menjadi kendaraan yang sangat penting digunakan untuk pergi ke kampus. Akan tetapi, banyak mahasiswa mengendarai sepeda motor meski jarak kediamannya dengan kampus sangat dekat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor motivasional mahasiswi mengendarai sepeda motor untuk pergi ke kampus. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara terhadap 5 mahasiswi yang mengendarai sepeda motor untuk pergi ke kampus dengan jarak antara kediaman dengan kampus kurang dari 1000 m. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa faktor motivasional mahasiswi mengendarai sepeda motor daripada berjalan kaki guna pergi ke kampus adalah untuk menghemat waktu, jarak yang ditempuh dianggap jauh, menjaga penampilan, menghindari kecapaian, dan agar lebih fokus pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung.

Abstract

Maternal and infant morbidity and mortality rates can be prevented by preparing for pregnancy during the pre-pregnancy period. One indicator of the success of development in the health sector is the maternal and infant mortality rate, which represents the quality of maternal health. Pregnancy planning is an important effort to prevent high-risk pregnancies. Reproductive health plays an important role in the prospective bride and groom's ability to conceive offspring, thus preparation need to be well planned. It is by providing guidance and information, as well as pre-marital counseling to prospective brides and grooms, because the quality of marriage is determined by the preparedness and maturity of both prospective marriage partners in facing married life. The aim of carrying out this activity was to increase the knowledge of prospective brides and grooms about reproductive health to prepare for pregnancy. The method used was through counseling in several stages, starting from the preparation stage, implementation and evaluation stage. At the implementation stage, the material is delivered and leaflets were distributed to participants. The community service activities were carried out at KUA Juang City District. Juang City District, Bireuen, Aceh on May 22, 2024. The results of the implementation of this activity showed an increase in the knowledge of the prospective bride and groom, as evidenced by the discussion session, participants were enthusiastic in asking questions and during the evaluation, the prospective bride and groom understood the content of the material that had been presented. Health assistance from the pre-marital period needs to be a priority program to support efforts to increase the pregnancy readiness of prospective mothers.

Abstract

n the midst of globalization, folk tales such as Putri Reno Pinang Masak are starting to be displaced by popular culture which does not always reflect local values. The younger generation tends to be less familiar with this story, so they miss the opportunity to learn from the moral values and leadership contained in it. This research aims to explore leadership values in Jambi folklore, namely the story of Putri Reno Pinang Masak.  The method used in this research is a historical method which includes five main stages: topic selection, source collection, source verification, data interpretation, and historical writing. The sources used are literature, articles and historical documents relevant to the folklore of Putri Reno Pinang Masak. The research results show that the story of Putri Reno Pinang Masak contains very important leadership values, such as love for the people, wisdom in making decisions, courage to face threats, integrity, responsibility, and the ability to maintain honor and self-respect. The folklore of Putri Reno Pinang Masak contains various leadership values that are important and relevant to be applied in today's life. These values can be used as inspiration in forming a strong leader's character, especially in facing challenges and making wise decisions.   Keywords: jambi culture, folklore, leadership values

Abstract

The background of this research is that agency employee performance appraisal needs to be carried out in order to know how an agency's ability to improve employee performance. This performance assessment needs to be done to determine the development of employee performance. In order for agencies to achieve the expected performance, an organization should consider the factors influencing employee performance. The aim of this research is to ascertain the impact of work discipline, motivation, and loyalty on employee performance, whether individually or collectively, at the Kediri Regency Land Office. This study uses a causality quantitative approach. The research sample encompassed the entire staff of the Kediri District Land Office and was subjected to analysis through multiple linear regression using SPSS for Windows version 23 software. The findings of this study indicated that (1) collectively, work discipline, motivation, and loyalty exert a positive and noteworthy impact on employee performance within the Kediri District Land Office. (2) Individually, work discipline, motivation, and loyalty hold a positive and significant influence on employee performance at the Kediri Regency Land Office.
