Abstract

Boarding houses have become a fairly important need for many people, especially for students studying outside the area who choose boarding houses as temporary housing, and students whose homes may be quite far from the campus, who rent boarding houses near their campus so as not to spend a lot of energy and time traveling. The boarding house route search information system has benefits for users who will search for the nearest boarding house from various features, such as finding boarding house routes and viewing detailed boarding house information. ease of boarding house owners to manage data allows information to be continuously updated. This study aims to create an Android-based boarding house location information system. The research stage starts from the design of a system that has been built using a Use Case Diagram that has three actors, including the admin, the boarding house owner, and the tenant/user. Each of these actors has different roles and access rights. At the implementation stage of the system creation process, using the Android Studio application, the system is tested using the Black Box method. Based on the results of system tests that have been carried out, obtaining good results, or in other words, the system can run as expected.

Abstract

One of the data mining processes that is often used in machine learning is the data classification process. A decision tree is a classification algorithm that has the advantage of being easy to visualize because of its simple structure. However, the decision tree algorithm is quite susceptible to incorrect classification calculations due to the presence of noise in the data or imbalance in the data, which can reduce the overall level of accuracy. Therefore, the decision tree algorithm should be combined with other methods that can increase the accuracy of classification performance. Machine Learning is used through an artificial intelligence approach to solve problems or carry out optimization. Adaptive Boosting is used to optimize classification calculations. This study aims to examine the performance of Adaptive Boosting in the process of classifying second-degree diabetes mellitus patients using the Decision Tree algorithm. Diabetes mellitus is known as a chronic condition of the human body, the cause of which is an increase in the body's blood sugar levels because the body is unable to produce insulin or is unable to utilize insulin effectively, which is usually referred to as hyperglycemia.. By using a 60:40 data split, the Decision Tree algorithm produces an accuracy value of 95.71%, while the Adaptive Boosting-based Decision Tree results reach a value of 98.99%.

Abstract

Due to the increasing complexity of globalization and technological advancements, the adoption of HRIS (Human Resource Information System) has become a key priority for government bodies and similar organizations. HRIS plays a vital role in effectively managing the workforce, particularly in the public sector. This research aims to enhance the efficiency of personnel data management processes in South Sorong Regency. The primary focus is on ensuring the security of employee data storage. Extreme Programming is utilized as the system development method, encompassing design, development, coding, and testing stages. PHP is chosen as the programming language, with a MySQL database for data storage. The black box testing technique is employed to guarantee system functionality and reliability. The implementation of this application demonstrates smooth operation, with testing yielding a high satisfaction rate among respondents at 93%. Consequently, the system is deemed functionally sound in delivering the intended outcomes.

Abstract

Enhancing the efficiency and security of public spaces has become increasingly important, leading to the development of an automatic door lock system utilizing wireless technology and the Internet of Things (IoT). This study aims to design and implement a smart door lock system that provides automated control and improves convenience in managing public room access. The research methodology involves programming the ESP32 microcontroller, integrating IoT applications, and conducting various testing methods. These include manual control through physical switches, automated control via the Sinric Pro platform, and Wi-Fi hotspot-based control using the ESP32 module. Comprehensive hardware and software testing was carried out to ensure system reliability and functionality. The results indicate that the proposed system enables seamless control of public room doors through multiple methods, including an Android-based application and Wi-Fi connectivity. By leveraging IoT technology, the system offers a user-friendly, efficient, and secure solution for managing public space access, addressing modern requirements for convenience and safety.

Abstract

The learning process at SMK Negeri 1 Bone (State Vocational High School 1 Bone) remains predominantly conventional, requiring physical interactions between teachers and students in the classroom. This limitation highlights the need for technological integration to enhance accessibility and flexibility in education. This study aims to design and implement an e-learning application based on a Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate online learning adaptation at SMKN 1 Bone. The development follows the UML model, while system testing employs the black-box method. Data were collected through field research and literature reviews from various academic sources. The results of this study led to the development of an LMS-based e-learning application that significantly supports online learning implementation. A user effectiveness test involving 30 respondents yielded a 71.57% feasibility score, categorizing the system as viable. Furthermore, black-box testing confirmed the system's functional reliability. This research contributes to the global discourse on digital education by demonstrating the practical application of LMS technology in vocational education, offering insights into scalable solutions for enhancing learning accessibility and effectiveness worldwide.
