Abstract

The purpose of this research, to see the difference between the model of Missouri Mathematics Project learning and conventional learning on mathematical problem-solving abilities in terms of students' self-confidence. The method used in this research is an experimental with kind of a Quasi-Experimental, and the research design is a 2x3 factorial design. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIPA of SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak consist of four classes, with class XI MIPA III and XI MIPA IV samples selected by the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Based on the analysis of variance of two paths with unequal cells it is concluded that: 1) The Missouri Mathematics Project learning model provides better mathematical problem-solving abilities compared to conventional learning in the matrix material. 2) Students who have high, medium and low self-confidence have no difference in the ability to solve mathematical problems in the matrix material. 3) In each learning model, students with high, medium and low self-confidence do not provide differences in mathematical problem solving between self -confidence found in themselves. 4) At each level of students' self-confidence, the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model provides better mathematical problem-solving skills than conventional learning.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa melalui pembelajaran sesudah mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan e-modul logika matematika berbasis phet simulation. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 35 siswa kelas XI SMK Koperasi Pontianak dengan teknik cluster random sampling dimana sebelum diambil sampel dilakukan terlebih dahulu uji homogenitas dan dimana variansi dari populasi homogen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan e-modul logika matematika berbasis phet simulation pada kelas XI SMK Koperasi Pontianak dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dimana diperoleh persentase ketuntasan belajar sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pembelajaran tersebut sebesar 41% dan 59%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) students' mathematical communication skills before being given learning using Instagram media containing problem posing in the system of linear equations and inequalities; (2) students' mathematical communication skills after being given learning using Instagram media containing problem posing in the material of linear equations and inequality systems; (3) the effect of using Instagram media containing problem posing on students' mathematical communication skills in the material of linear equations and inequality systems in class X SMA Koperasi Pontianak; (4) the magnitude of the influence by using Instagram media with problem posing content on students' mathematical communication skills in the material of linear equations and inequality systems in class X SMA Koperasi Pontianak. This reseach method is to use the Pre Eksperimental Desaign method. Sampling was done by saturated sampling technique. The instrument for collecting data was a test of mathematical communication skills. The data analysis in this study used descriptive data analysis and inferential statistic. The results of the study were that before the learning model was applied with an average student score of 39.97 which was classified as a failure, and after being applied the learning model with an average of 58.07 was sufficient so that there was an increase, from the research results there was also an influence and also the magnitude of the effect. After learning is applied using instructional media that contains problem posing on students' mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) The effect of motivation on mathematics learning achievement; (2) The effect of interest on mathematics learning achievement; (3) The effect of study time management on mathematics learning achievement; (4) The influence of motivation, interest, and time management on the learning achievement of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tumbang Titi. The sampling used in this study was nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling technique. The instrument for collecting data was a questionnaire. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis with the help of the SPSS 25 application. The results showed that: (1) There was an effect of motivation on students' mathematics learning achievement. This can be indicated by a regression coefficient of 0.712 which means that it has a positive effect on mathematics learning achievement; (2) There is an influence of interest on students' mathematics learning achievement. This can be indicated by a regression coefficient of 0.388 which means that it has a positive effect on mathematics learning achievement; (3) There is an effect of time management on students' mathematics learning achievement. This can be indicated by a regression coefficient of 0.466 which means that it has a positive effect on mathematics learning achievement; (4) There is an effect of motivation, interest and time management on students' mathematics learning achievement. This can be indicated by a regression coefficient of 0.726, which means that it has a positive effect on mathematics learning achievement.

Abstract

This research aims to develop MATCA learning media for mathematical understanding abilities in algebra material that reaches levels of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research is included in development research with the ADDIE model. The instruments used in this research were expert validation sheets, questionnaires, and test questions. The subjects in this research were 24 students in class VII of SMP Negeri 19 Pontianak. Based on the results of the first research, the validation of MATCA learning media with an average score from the three experts was 81.78% in the very valid criteria with the very valid category. The second is practicality, judging from the questionnaire scores filled out by teachers and students, the percentage obtained was 85.41% with very practical criteria. Meanwhile, effectiveness can be seen from the results of the posttest results of students with a total of 18 students completing the test out of 24 students with a percentage of 75% and the average student score which is calculated using the average score formula and as a percentage of the overall student score so that A score of 77.96 was obtained based on the school's KKM score of 74, so the average student test results had complete criteria and were classified as effective. So that the MATCA learning media is suitable for use in mathematics learning in algebra material

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis “Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Ditinjau Dari Konsentrasi Belajar Siswa Kelas X Pada Materi Persamaan Dan Pertidaksamaan Linear Satu Variabel Di SMK Negeri 01 Sadaniang”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, dengan bentuk penelitian study khasus yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis data berbagi fenomena-fenomea yang menjadi subjek penelitian. Peneliti memberikan pernyataan dalam bentuk angket dan tes yang tertrukstur kemudian data dianalisis secara kualitaitf deskriptif untuk mengetahui kebenaran yang terdapat pada lokasi penelitian. Data diperoleh dari hasil angket, tes, dan wawancara siswa, subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas X Multimedia SMK Negeri 01 Sadaniang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: siswa pada kategori konsentrasi belajar tinggi dapat memenuhi indikator kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis, siswa pada kategori konsentrasi belajar sedang memenuhi sebagian indikator kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis, dan siswa pada kategori konsentrasi belajar rendah belum mampu memenuhi  indikator kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis

Abstract

This study aims to analyze "The Ability to Understand Mathematical Concepts in View of the Learning Concentration of Class X Students on the Material of One Variable Linear Equations and Inequalities at SMK Negeri 01 Sadaniang". The research method used in this research is descriptive method, with a special research study with a purpose to analyze data sharing phenomena that are the subject of research. Researchers provide statements in the form of structured questionnaires and tests structured data then analyzed qualitatively descriptive to find out the truth contained in the research location. Data obtained from the results of questionnaires, tests, and student interviews, the subjects in this study were students of class X Multimedia SMK Negeri 01 Sadaniang. The research results show that: students in the category of high learning concentration can meet the indicators ability to understand mathematical concepts, students in the medium learning concentration category fulfill some indicators of the ability to understand mathematical concepts, and students in the category of low learning concentration have not been able to meet the indicators of the ability to understand mathematical concepts

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze students' mathematical representation abilities in terms of cognitive style in the multivariable calculus course taught in semester 4 of the IKIP PGRI Pontianak Mathematics Education Study Program. This research is a qualitative descriptive research in the form of case study research. Research subjects were selected based on their cognitive style which was measured using the geft instrument. Selected subjects were then asked to work on mathematical representation ability questions and then interviewed according to these questions. Based on the research results, it was found that students who had a field dependent cognitive style in symbolic representation were able to link symbols with mathematical concepts, in graphical representation they were able to create images in the form of requested graphs, while in verbal representation they were less able to convey ideas effectively orally. or written. Meanwhile, students with an independent cognitive style in symbolic representation have been able to link symbols with mathematical concepts, in graphic representation they have been able to create images in the form of requested graphics, and in verbal representation they have been able to convey ideas effectively.

Abstract

Learning graph theory is an important topic in the world of mathematics and computer science. However, students often face difficulties in understanding the concepts and practical application of graph theory. Therefore, this study aims to apply practicum-based learning methods in teaching graph theory to students. The method used in this study involves the application of practical work through the use of maple. Students are given the opportunity to interactively run experiments, analyze results, and relate them to graph theory concepts. Apart from that, they are also given assignments that focus on the practical application of graph theory in real-world contexts. This research was conducted on students of the Mathematics Education Study Program IKIP PGRI Pontianak, totaling 1 class using an experimental approach. The collected data were analyzed quantitatively to evaluate the effectiveness of practicum-based learning methods in increasing students' understanding of graph theory. The results of the study show that the application of practicum-based learning in graph theory has a positive impact on student understanding. Students show a significant increase in their understanding of graph theory concepts and their ability to apply the theory to real-world situations. In addition, students also provide positive feedback regarding interactive and fun learning experiences.
