Abstract

Tourism as one of the potential sources to be able to improve the economy and community welfare through activities in the form of managing and utilizing the potential of tourist attractions, there is an important element of concern in the development of tourism, namely the role of parties who have an interest in tourism, namely local governments and tourism-conscious community groups. Local governments and tourist conscious groups (pokdarwis) are the main keys to how a tourist attraction can progress and develop well if these two parties can implement their role to the maximum. The problem that will be studied in this study is related to how the role of local governments and tourism conscious groups in developing Curug Lestari waterfall attractions. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach with data collection techniques, namely observation, interview and documentation. Based on research that has been done it was found that local governments and pokdarwis have not been able to fully contribute and carry out their roles for the development of Curug Lestari tourist attractions. This leads to the development of Curug Lestari tourist attractions both in terms of development, improvement of road infrastructure, not been seen well. The existence of obstacle factors experienced by both parties is also the cause of the lack of maximum implementation of their role.

Abstract

Public behavior of open defecation free (ODF) is an unhealthy condition. The program through ownership of healthy latrines is presented as a means of educating the public about healthy living. The research aims to determine the social structures in achieving ODF (Open Defecation Free) villages. This study uses qualitative methods with the aim of seeing the location first hand and conducting interviews for the individuals and groups involved. The results of the study show that the ODF program involves several components including the company, government and community. The function of the community is to form groups for sanitation socialization, while the company participates in building both latrines and clean water facilities. Meanwhile, Pekon Teba also provides facilities, in accordance with government programs that have been planned, both in terms of budget and additional facilities. The facilities and infrastructure provided to the community include repairing waterways by establishing a Clean Water Facilities Management Agency (BPSAB) together with YKWS and PT. Tirta Investama while from a budget perspective it is fully supported by CSR PT. Tirta Investama and policies in the form of sanctions limit access to public services for residents who are reluctant or refuse to build healthy latrines in their respective homes.

Abstract

Pesantren Jagat Arsy is one of the Islamic boarding schools in South Tangerang Regency, Banten Province that implements a religious learning system using the modeling behavior method. Students are taught how to behave in accordance with the behavior of the teacher as an educator who becomes a model figure for students or students. In this case the researchers wanted to examine how the enculturation of modeling behavior in shaping the Islamic tradition of students with religious attitudes at Pesantren Jagat Arsy. In this study, a descriptive qualitative research method, with observation and interview data collection techniques was implemented. Interviews were conducted with 4 boarding school teachers, and to determine these teachers, purposive sampling techniques were used. After the data were collected, they were then analyzed using qualitative data analysis technique suggested by Miles and Huberman. The results of the study based on the results of interviews and observations concluded that Pesantren Jagat Arsy education prioritizes moral and moral improvement with religious guidance through the modeling behavior method of the teachers. The influence of teacher figures at Pesantren Jagat Arsy is really high in shaping the religious attitudes of students related to behavior and moral values.

Abstract

The whole community should be involved in rural development. However, occasionally, some obstacles cause a lack of community participation. Therefore, several aspects, like socio-cultural and customary practices, are utilized for the rural development of indigenous peoples. This study aimed to analyze customary sanctions' function as social control in rural development for the indigenous Pepadun community in Srimenanti Village, Negara Batin sub-districts, Way Kanan Regency. This field research used a descriptive qualitative approach. The primary data were collected from interviews and observations, while the secondary data were assembled from Statistics Indonesia and customary records owned by informants. Transcription and description were conducted for data processing and analysis. As a result, customary sanctions enforced by Members of the Indigenous Council (Anggota Dewan Adat) have an important role in the social control of deviant behavior through agreed Bia (Biaya Adat/Customary Fees). Additionally, customary rules also play a role in filling both physical and non-physical rural development of the skills in the rural government and customary administrators. These customary sanctions run on community participation in complying with agreed customary rules.
