Abstract

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play an significant part in national economic growth. In addition to playing a role in national economic growth and employment, small and medium-sized enterprises often play a role in sharing development results and are a driving force for growth in national economic activity. Marketing is an integral aspect of business management. Good management is important to enable the company to grow and develop better. Jambu Raya marketing which is one of the 2019 KKN-T programs of IPB University in Jambu Village, Conggeang District, Sumedang Regency. This program will help establish and grow small and medium-sized enterprises in Jambu Village. MSMEs are expected to improve their business quality and productivity, so that MSME products in Jambu Village can compete in a wider marketplace. Through this Champion Market program it is hoped that Jambu Village's UMKM will be able to improve the quality and productivity of its business, so that Jambu Village's UMKM products can compete in a broader market. This program consists of four activities including Product Development Class, Social Media Marketing Class, Account Creation, and Simple Bookkeeping. Abstract

This study aims to predicts financial distress before and during the pandemic and to analyze the influence factors on the financial distress of sharia commercial banks in Indonesia. This study was quantitatif used purposive sampling method with twelve Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia as samples based on these criteria. Data were analyzed and processed by using Microsoft Excel 2016 and SPSS 22 software. The result found that most Islamic banks in Indonesia were in a positive financial condition before and during the pandemic Covid-19. Further, the result also found that NOM had a significant negative effect in all models, OER had a significant positive impact in all models, CAR had a significant negative effect in the first and second models, and GDP had a significant negative impact in the second until fifth models. Meanwhile, size, exchange rate, and inflation do not significantly affect financial distress of Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia before and during the pandemic Covid-19.

Abstract

Muslims are required to consume halal products. One of the halal products consumed by Muslims is cosmetics. Based on the Zap Beauty Index (2020) survey, it was found that 49.5 percent of consumers did not pay attention to halal labels when buying cosmetics. This study aims to analyze the determinant factors of purchase intention of halal cosmetics in Bogor Regency by taking a sample of 100 respondents. The sampling method was purposive-sampling and analyzed using Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results show that the factors that significantly determine purchase intention in Bogor Regency to buy halal cosmetics are attitude, subjective norm, halal awareness, and religiosity. Abstract

The business growth of Islamic rural Bank (BPRS) in Indonesia is higher than conventional rural bank, meanwhile it has the lower market share. One of the reasons could be the intense competition faced by Islamic rural banks with another islamic finance institution such as baitul maal wat tamwil (BMT) and islamic commercial banks which have also penetrated into the MSME segment. It makes islamic rural banks are often called having middle child syndrome, which have no speciality in facing the markets. This study aims to identify the strategy to develop and deep the market of islamic rural banks in Indonesia. This study was conducted using primary data through interview and focus group discussion (FGD) and SWOT. The methods used are business model canvass (BMC) and SWOT. The results of this study identified five key factors that play an important role in the development of the BPRS industry, namely 1) capital factor, 2) human resource (HR) factor, 3) information technology infrastructure factor, 4) business model, and 5) regulatory aspect.

Abstract

Green sukuk are State Sharia Securities (SBSN) that put forward the concept of financing programs for environmentally friendly projects. However, since the issuance of this instrument, the number of green sukuk is still small compared to other SBSNs. This study aims to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and solutions and develop strategies for developing green sukuk in Indonesia. The Analytic Network Process with a SWOT (Strength-Weakness-Opportunity-Threat) network structure is used. Respondents in the study amounted to five experts, consisting of academics, regulators, and practitioners. The results show that opportunities are a top priority in supporting the development of green sukuk. The most influential variables of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats are green sukuk which impacts reducing greenhouse emissions and preserving the environment. The number and types of funded projects are limited, increasing public awareness of environmentally friendly sustainable lifestyle trends and reputational risks. The priority strategy for developing green sukuk in Indonesia is increasing awareness of the issue of climate change.

Abstract

Indonesia is presently experiencing a growing influx of imported processed food products distributed within its borders. However, not all of these products are labeled, which has led to a situation where Muslim consumers must exercise increased caution during purchase to ensure their adherence to halal standards and suitability for consumption. This study examined the effect of religiosity, reference groups, income, lifestyle, and perception of halal label on the purchasing decision of Muslim. Data were collected from 100 respondents of Muslim Generation Z residing in Bogor Regency. Descriptive analysis methodology was employed, and the data was analyzed through the application of Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The result showed that the reference group, income, lifestyle, and perception of halal label positively and significantly affected purchasing decision for imported processed food.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines the influence of macroeconomics and population demographics on demand for Islamic life insurance in Indonesia.Methodology – This study uses time-series data analysis using the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL)method. The study period is from January 2015 to December 2022.Findings – According to the ARDL model, inflation and education levels have a positive effect on the demand for Islamic life insurance in the long run, while the Muslim population has a negative effect. In the short term, gross domestic product (GDP) per capita has a positive effect, while inflation and the Muslim population have a negative effect on the demand for Islamic life insurance in Indonesia.Implications – This study provides valuable insights for the Islamic life insurance industry and policymakers. The industry should develop inclusive and affordable products tailored to diverse financial capacities and preferences, including those of the younger generations. Policymakers should promote public awareness and collaboration with financial institutions in order to expand access. These findings can guide strategies to enhance market penetration and financial inclusion.Originality – This study fills the research gap by analyzing the relationship between Islamic life insurance demand, macroeconomics, and population demographics, where Muslim population has never been discussed by previous studies.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the waqf motivation in carrying out waqf in Bogor City. Primary data and questionnaire techniques were used by distributing to 103 waqif respondents. Factors were grouped into 2 categories, internal and external. Internal factors were religiosity, waqf literacy, trustworthiness in waqf institutions, income & wealth. Meanwhile, external factors included performance efficiency, tax incentives, the role of government, and the role of scholars. The method used was path analysis for internal factors and multiple linear regression analysis for external factors using SPSS 21. The results showed that waqf literacy and trustworthiness affected religiosity and also to waqf motivation while income & wealth had no effect. The role of government and the role of scholars had a significant positive impact on waqf motivation, but the performance efficiency of the institution and tax incentive had no significant effect. Ø§Ù„ملخص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة دوافع الوقف في تنفيذ الوقف في مدينة بوجور. تم استخدام تقنيات البيانات الأولية والاستبيان من خلال توزيع ما يصل إلى 103 من مستجيبي الواقف. تم تجميع العوامل في فئتين، داخلية وخارجية. العوامل الداخلية هي التدين، ومحو الأمية الوقفية ØŒ والجدارة بالثقة في مؤسسات الوقف، والدخل والثروة. وفي نفس الوقت، تشمل العوامل الخارجية كفاءة الأداء، والحوافز الضريبية، ودور الحكومة، ودور العلماء. كانت الطريقة المستخدمة هي تحليل المسار للعوامل الداخلية وتحليل الانحدار الخطي المتعدد للعوامل الخارجية باستخدام SPSS 21.  ÙˆØ£Ø¸Ù‡Ø±Øª النتائج أن محو الأمية الوقفية والجدارة بالثقة أثرت على التدين وأيضًا على دافع الوقف في حين أن الدخل والثروة لم يكن لهما تأثير. كان لعامل دور الحكومة ودور العلماء تأثير إيجابي كبير على دافع الوقف، ولكن عامل كفاءة أداء المؤسسة والحوافز الضريبية ليس لهما تأثير كبير. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menginvestigasi motivasi wakif dalam menunaikan wakaf di Kota Bogor. Data primer dan teknik kuesioner digunakan dengan disebarkan kepada 103 responden wakif.  Faktor dikelompokkan menjadi 2 kategori, internal dan eksternal. Faktor Internal yaitu religiositas, literasi wakaf, Kepercayaan terhadap lembaga wakaf, pendapatan & kekayaan. Sedangkan, Faktor eksternal diantaranya efisiensi kinerja, insentif pajak, peran pemerintah, dan peran ulama. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur (path) untuk faktor internal dan analisis regresi linier berganda untuk faktor eksternal menggunakan SPSS 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi wakaf dan kepercayaan berpengaruh terhadap religiositas dan juga ke motivasi wakaf sedang pendapatan dan kekayaan tidak berpengaruh. Faktor peran pemerintah dan peran ulama berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap motivasi wakaf, akan tetapi efisiensi kinerja lembaga dan faktor insentif pajak tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan.

Abstract

Halal tourism is recognized as a significant contributor to the economy and has promising potential. The number of tourism village with halal concepts in Indonesia is limited, but Gedepangrango Village in Sukabumi District has great prospects for development. Therefore, this study aimed to use the Analytical Network Process (ANP) as well as Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) methods to analyze strategy for developing halal tourism village in Gedepangrango. The results showed that SWOT significantly impacted development of halal tourism village. The analysis confirmed tourism potential in agriculture, nature, and culture within village, but governance has not been optimal. Furthermore, development plans were consistent with the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan of Sukabumi District, and there was competition from other tourism village. Based on the results, the primary focus should be raising the capacity of human resources to develop halal tourism village.

Abstract

Bali Island is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world and with the growing preference for the location, especially among Muslim tourists, the demand for halal food has increased. However, due to the predominantly Hindu population in Bali, the availability of halal-certified food remains limited. This study aims to identify the characteristics and examine the level of halal knowledge among food Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) actors in Bali. It also aims to analyze the factors influencing the halal knowledge of the actors. In order to achieve the stated objectives, the study adopted descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression as its analytical methods. The obtained results showed that the entire level of halal knowledge among food MSE actors in Bali was satisfactory. Additionally, the results also signified that factors such as education level, access to information, and religious awareness were found to significantly and positively influence the level of halal knowledge possessed by the actors.
