Abstract

Literasi matematika merupakan kemampuan siswa untuk mengetahui dan menerapkan konsep matematika dalam berbagai situasi kehidupan sehari-hari. Berdasarkan hasil PISA tahun 2022, literasi matematika siswa Indonesia mencapai 366, masih berada jauh di bawah rata-rata OECD sebesar 472. Hal ini menunjukkan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa masih sangat rendah. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa adalah dengan memilih pendekatan yang dapat melatih siswa dalam merumuskan, menerapkan dan menafsirkan konsep matematika secara lebih bermakna. Pendekatan deep leraning merupakan salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada pemahaman yang bermakna. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meguji efektivitas pendekatan Deep Learning terhadap literasi matematika siswa Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pra-eksperimental one-group pretest-posttest dan bersifat kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MTs. S Annurain Tondowolio, Sulawesi Tenggara, dengan melibatkan 25 siswa kelas tujuh yang dipilih secara simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes literasi matematika berbentuk soal uraian kontekstual yang mengacu pada indikator literasi matematika yaitu (a) Formulate, (b) Employ, (c) Interpret. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil uji prasyarat menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal berdasarkan uji Shapiro–Wilk dan memiliki varians homogen berdasarkan uji Fisher. Nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 29,63 meningkat menjadi 69,72 pada posttest. Uji hipotesis menggunakan paired sample t-test yang menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan deep learning efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi matematika siswa, terutama dalam pemahaman konseptual, penerapan strategi, dan penafsiran hasil secara kontekstual.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective animation-based learning video for mathematics subjects in grade VIII of junior high school to increase students' interest and motivation to learn. The method used is the development research method (Research and Development [PT5.1]) with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 30 grade VIII students of Muhammadiyah Pomalaa Junior High School. The research instruments were in the form of expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and learning interest and motivation questionnaires. The results showed that the validity level of material experts was 81% with a very valid category and media experts was 77.86% with a valid category. The practicality level was 81.57% with a very practical category. The effectiveness of the media was shown by an increase in learning interest from 47% to 90% and learning motivation from 30% to 87%. Thus, the animation-based learning video developed was proven to be valid, practical, and effective and was able to increase students' interest and motivation to learn in accordance with the research objectives.   Keywords: ADDIE, Animation, Interest, Motivation, Learning Videos.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low utilization of digital learning media by teachers and students in schools, particularly regarding the use of the Canva application. The study aims to describe the process of mentoring the use of Canva as a digital learning medium by interdisciplinary PLP students and to determine its impact on improving the quality of learning at SMAN 2 Ladongi. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions using triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The results of the study indicate that the mentoring was implemented through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. This activity was able to improve teachers’ ability to design visual-based learning media as well as enhance students’ skills, creativity, and interest in learning. In addition, PLP students also gained experience in developing pedagogical and professional competencies. Thus, the use of Canva as a digital learning medium can be an effective alternative in creating innovative and interactive learning.
