Abstract

The integration of global market has opened today for the foreign products to entry any countries and has threatened the future of women entrepreneurs. Women entrepreneurs have to compete with foreign businessmen who have superiority in terms of funds, technology, infrastructure, market information and government support. Indonesia is one of developing country who encourages the development of rural areas. Women entrepreneurship in rural areas indicated will increase the local economy, creating employment opportunities, and decreasing the poverty currently. One province in Indonesia that successfully promotes the fashion industries to local and international tourist is West Java. This study aims to analyze the effect of network development strategy toward the women entrepreneurs’ satisfaction. Hypothesis were tested by multivariate statistics- Partial Least Square. The population is owners or managers of SMEs in fashion or garment industries. Stratified random sampling is occupied to get 78 women entrepreneurs in West Java. This study shows that network strategy is significantly influenced the women entrepreneurs’ satisfaction Proactive entrepreneur is proved to positively strengthen the impact of network strategy on the women entrepreneurs’ satisfaction. This result becomes a guide for SMEs, especially in fashion or garment industry to support the tourism of West Java.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify internal and external factors and analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in developing halal ecotourism based on the empowerment of coastal communities in Bangka Belitung. Furthermore, a strategy for development is formulated by minimizing weaknesses and threats, maximizing utilization of opportunities and strengths. The background of this research departs from the complaints of Muslim tourists when visiting a region or country that they doubt the halalness of food and the lack of available places of worship and the trend of world tourism based on nature and environmentally friendly. The locus chosen in this study was the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands. The potential of an archipelagic province with exotic beaches and one of the largest fish producers, makes fishermen and coastal communities dependent on marine products and their products. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The results obtained in this study are the need for community empowerment in the development of tourism products in accordance with local government regulations and policies as well as the values of politeness and morality, the development of marketing for halal nature tourism programs and the physical, social, cultural and economic environment of the community.

Abstract

Desa Kalongan, Kabupaten Semarang, merupakan wilayah perbukitan yang memiliki tingkat kerawanan longsor tinggi. Kondisi ini dipengaruhi oleh kerusakan vegetasi dan perubahan penggunaan lahan yang meningkatkan potensi bencana. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan dan memperkuat upaya mitigasi longsor melalui reboisasi berbasis kolaborasi dan partisipasi masyarakat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan partisipatif melalui tahap sosialisasi, penanaman pohon, edukasi mitigasi longsor, dan penguatan kelompok peduli lingkungan. Program ini melibatkan dosen, mahasiswa, pemerintah desa, masyarakat, dan kelompok tani. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya pelestarian lingkungan di kawasan rawan longsor serta terbentuknya gerakan kolektif dalam menjaga lereng yang berisiko. Sebanyak 300 bibit pohon keras dan tanaman konservasi berhasil ditanam di beberapa titik yang memiliki potensi longsor. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kolaborasi antara akademisi, pemerintah desa, dan masyarakat efektif dalam mendukung mitigasi bencana berbasis masyarakat. Dengan demikian, reboisasi tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai upaya konservasi lahan, tetapi juga sebagai sarana membangun tanggung jawab bersama dalam mengurangi risiko longsor di Desa Kalongan.
