Abstract

Background: Stunting is a condition in which toddlers have less height according to their age. WHO reports that there are around 149.2 million toddlers experiencing stunting worldwide. This study aims to analyze and estimate the magnitude of the effect of exclusive breastfeeding, antenatal care visits, and maternal education level on the incidence of stunting among toddlers based on the results of similar previous studies. Subjects and Method: This study is a systematic review and meta-analysis using the PRISMA flow chart and the PICO model. Population: toddlers. Intervention: exclusive breastfeeding, the mother often visits antenatal care, and high maternal education. Comparison: not exclusive breastfeeding, mothers rarely visit antenatal care, and low maternal education. Outcome: stunting. The databases used were Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Elsevier, Scopus, SpringerLink, BioMed Central, PLOS ONE, and Emerald with the keywords (“Exclusive Breastfeeding” OR “Antenatal Care” OR “Mother's Education”) AND “Stunting” AND “Children” AND “aOR”. There were 15 cross-sectional studies published in 2013-2023 that met the inclusion criteria. Analysis data were RevMan 5.3. Results: A meta-analysis of 15 articles with a cross-sectional study design was carried out from Ethiopia, India, Tanzania, Rwanda, Pakistan and Indonesia in under-fives with a sample size of 285,221. The results of the meta-analysis showed that toddlers who were exclusively breastfed experienced stunting by 0.54 times compared to toddlers who were not exclusively breastfed (aOR= 0.54; 95% CI= 0.35 to 0.85; p<0.001), toddlers born to mothers who had frequent antenatal visits care experienced stunting by 0.81 times compared to toddlers born to mothers who rarely visited antenatal care (aOR= 0.81; 95% CI= 0.72 to 0.90; p= 0.001), and toddlers born to mothers with higher education experienced stunting by 0.72 times compared to toddlers born to mothers with low education (aOR= 0.72; 95% CI=0.61 to 0.86; p=0.003). Conclusion: Toddlers who get exclusive breastfeeding, mothers who often visit antenatal care, and a high level of maternal education can reduce the risk of stunting in toddlers. Abstract

Pada tahun 2035 diprediksi sekitar 40% tenaga kesehatan di dunia akan meninggalkan pekerjaan mereka karena terlalu sedikit insentif dan gaji yang didapatkan, sehingga memengaruhi kepuasan kerja mereka. Didukung oleh beberapa penelitian di rumah sakit menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan kerja tenaga medis secara keseluruhan cukup rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kepuasan kerja tenaga kesehatan di rumah sakit. Metode yang digunakan adalah scoping review dan menggunakan panduan PRISMA ScR. Pencarian literatur menggunakan database Google Scholar, PubMed, dan BioMed Central dengan menggunakan framework PICO, yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2015-2025. Dari 137 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi, didapatkan 10 artikel yang eligible. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang memengaruhi kepuasan kerja tenaga kesehatan di rumah sakit terdiri dari, faktor sosiodemografi mencakup usia, jenis kelamin, status pernikahan, status kewarganegaraan, tingkat pendidikan, profesi, status tenaga kesehatan, pendapatan/gaji, pengalaman kerja, status kesehatan yang dilaporkan sendiri, dan jabatan professional. Faktor lingkungan kerja mencakup jenis shift kerja, beban kerja, tingkat rumah sakit, jenis rumah sakit, item pekerjaan, promosi, shift lembur bulanan, gaya kepemimpinan, supervisi, peluang pendidikan lanjut, sifat pekerjaan yang menyenangkan, otonomi, hubungan antara dokter dan pasien, pengaturan praktik/SOP. Sedangkan faktor psikologis mencakup manajemen stress, mendapatkan kepuasan dari pasien, keseimbangan kehidupan kerja yang baik, serta penghargaan dan pengakuan yang baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepuasan kerja tenaga kesehatan merupakan faktor penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan di rumah sakit, sehingga pihak manajemen rumah sakit perlu mempertimbangkan upaya untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja sehingga akan menumbuhkan loyalitas mereka.

Abstract

Background: Waiting time is one of the important components affecting the quality of hospital services that must be considered, as it has an influence on the level of patient satisfaction. The length of waiting time that does not meet the standards is often a complaint of patients when they come to health institutions. The purpose of writing this article is to determine the relationship between patient satisfaction and the accuracy of waiting time in hospitals. Methods: The method used was systematic literature review by reviewing quantitative approach studies related to the topic that has been determined. Article searches were conducted from two databases, including Google Scholar and PubMed using the keywords “Patient Satisfaction” AND “Waiting Time” AND “Hospital” for Google Scholar and “Patient Satisfaction” AND “Waiting Time” AND “Hospital” for Pubmed, with a time span of 2017 to 2024. A total of 916 articles were found, but only 10 articles met the criteria. Results: The results showed a significant relationship between patient satisfaction and waiting time accuracy in hospitals, although this can still be influenced by other technical factors. Conclusion: Hospitals should manage waiting times efficiently to improve service quality and patient satisfaction.

Abstract

Indonesia saat ini memasuki era lanjut usia (Era of Population Ageing) dengan persentase penduduk lansia mencapai 12%. Berdasarkan klasifikasi demografi, suatu negara dikatakan memiliki struktur penduduk tua apabila lebih dari 7% penduduknya berusia 60 tahun ke atas. Perubahan struktur ini menjadi tantangan serius karena berdampak pada meningkatnya kebutuhan pelayanan kesehatan, beban pembiayaan, peningkatan angka disabilitas, serta penurunan produktivitas lansia. Salah satu upaya penanganan adalah melalui optimalisasi pelayanan kesehatan lansia. Namun, cakupan pemanfaatan pelayanan kesehatan lansia di Kota Padang Panjang pada tahun 2020–2022 belum mencapai target sebesar 100%, dengan capaian masing-masing sebesar 56%, 64%, dan 66%. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh avaibility and accomodatian, ability to reach dan pencarian terhadap pencapaian ke pelayanan kesehatan lansia. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Besar sampel penelitian sebesar 356 lansia yang dipilih secara propotional random sampling. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa availability and accommodation, ability to reach, pencarian pelayanan kesehatan di Kota Padang Panjang tergolong buruk serta berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap pencapaian pelayanan kesehatan. Nilai Odds Ratio (OR) untuk masing-masing variabel adalah 11,77 untuk availability and accommodation, 3,86 untuk ability to reach, dan 31,60 untuk pencarian pelayanan kesehatan. Berdasarkan temuan ini, direkomendasikan beberapa strategi perbaikan seperti mendekatkan layanan ke tempat tinggal lansia bahkan menyediakan homecare, menyesuaikan waktu pelayanan serta peningkatan kapasitas kader dalam memberikan informasi dan motivasi kepada lansia.

Abstract

Abstrak: Peredaran gelap narkoba dan penyalahgunaan narkoba marak terjadi di lingkungan pelajar. Masalah ini menjadi ancaman global yang tidak mengenal batas negara dan usia. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan siswa mengenai bahaya penyalahgunaan narkoba. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penyuluhan/edukasi kesehatan kepada siswa kelas XII SMA PGRI Indralaya yang berjumlah 16 orang. Media yang digunakan yaitu poster, power point (PPT), dan video serta memberikan pretest dan posttest untuk mengetahui pengetahuan dan pandangan siswa terhadap narkoba. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan siswa mengenai bahaya penyalahgunaan narkoba yang dibuktikan dengan semakin banyak siswa yang memiliki pengetahuan yang baik setelah diberikan edukasi kesehatan, dari 50% siswa menjadi 87.5% siswa.Abstract: Illegal drug trafficking and drug abuse are prevalent among students. This issue has become a global threat that transcends national and age boundaries. The purpose of this activity is to increase students' understanding and knowledge of the dangers of drug abuse. The method used is health counselling or education for 16 students in the 12th grade of SMA PGRI Indralaya. The media used include posters, PowerPoint (PPT), and videos, along with pretests and posttests to assess the students' knowledge and perspectives on drugs. The activity showed results that indicated an increase in students' knowledge about the dangers of drug abuse, as evidenced by the rise in the number of students with good knowledge after the health education, from 50% to 87.5%.

Abstract

Background: There is no safe level of cigarette smoke, but not everyone can avoid the exposure. Public health students are expected to bring changes to healthy behaviors in the community, including getting the right to have air free from cigarette smoke through various preventive efforts. Therefore, this study aims to identify the behavior of public health students at Universitas Sriwijaya as passive smokers, and its correlation with knowledge and attitudes. Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectional study conducted at Universitas Sriwijaya, South Sumatera, Indonesia, from February to March 2025. A sample of undergraduate students of Public Health was selected using purposive sampling. The dependent variable was smoking behavior. The independent variables were knowledge and attitude. Data were analyzed using a multiple logistic regression. Results: Passive smoking behavior among college students was influenced by knowledge (b = 0.17; 95% CI = –0.14 to 0.47; p = 0.103) and attitude (b = 0.61; 95% CI = 0.26 to 0.96; p = 0.001). While knowledge showed a positive but not statistically significant association with passive smoking behavior, attitude showed a statistically significant positive association. Conclusion: Passive smoking behavior among college students is influenced by knowledge and attitude. Knowledge and attitude have positive association with passive smoking behavior.

Abstract

Background: High patient satisfaction is crucial for healthcare institutions, with national standards in Indonesia targeting greater than 95% satisfaction in healthcare services, underscoring its importance for quality assurance. Purpose: To examine patient satisfaction with inpatient healthcare services in hospitals. Method: This literature review combined quantitative and qualitative methodologies, focusing on various determinants of satisfaction, such as service quality, communication effectiveness, healthcare professional competence, and infrastructure. Twelve studies were included, with sample sizes ranging from 39 to 476 participants. Results: Findings indicate that patient satisfaction is significantly influenced by dimensions of service quality, including tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Empathy emerged as the most dominant factor across all studies, underscoring the importance of personalized and attentive service. Variations in satisfaction levels were observed based on factors such as hospital type, insurance status, and demographic characteristics. Conclusion: Infrastructure quality has a variable impact, with some environments showing a significant correlation with satisfaction, while others did not.   Keywords: Inpatient Healthcare; Hospital; Patient Satisfaction; Service Quality.   Pendahuluan: Kepuasan pasien yang tinggi sangat penting bagi institusi pelayanan kesehatan, dengan standar nasional di Indonesia yang menargetkan kepuasan lebih dari 95% dalam layanan kesehatan, yang menggarisbawahi pentingnya hal ini untuk jaminan mutu. Tujuan: Untuk mengkaji kepuasan pasien terhadap pelayanan kesehatan rawat inap di rumah sakit. Metode: Penelitian kajian psutaka ini menggabungkan metodologi kuantitatif dan kualitatif, dengan fokus pada berbagai determinan kepuasan, seperti kualitas layanan, efektivitas komunikasi, kompetensi tenaga kesehatan, serta infrastruktur. Sebanyak 12 studi disertakan dengan jumlah sampel berkisar antara 39 hingga 476 peserta. Hasil:Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan pasien sangat dipengaruhi oleh dimensi kualitas layanan, termasuk bukti fisik (tangibles), keandalan (reliability), daya tanggap (responsiveness), jaminan (assurance), dan empati (empathy). Empati muncul sebagai faktor yang paling dominan di seluruh studi, menegaskan pentingnya pelayanan yang personal dan penuh kepedulian. Variasi tingkat kepuasan diamati berdasarkan faktor-faktor seperti jenis rumah sakit, status asuransi, dan karakteristik demografis. Simpulan: Kualitas infrastruktur memiliki dampak yang bervariasi beberapa lingkungan menunjukkan korelasi signifikan dengan kepuasan, sementara yang lain tidak.   Kata Kunci: Kepuasan Pasien; Kualitas Layanan; Pelayanan Kesehatan Rawat Inap; Rumah Sakit.
