Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic various problems faced by farmers such as price stability, distribution, and uncertainty of purchasing agricultural products. Therefore, it is required the government make policies that support farmers. Agriculture is one of the sectors that continue to exist during the Covid-19 pandemic, proven in the second quarter of 2020 to contribute 15.46% to the total gross domestic product (GDP) and play an important role in the Indonesian economy. The first policy issued by the government in the form of social and physical distancing make the movement of people limited. The dynamics of the development of Covid-19 are unstoppable so that the government issued a Large-Scale Social Restriction Policy (PSBB) that further lowers the wheels of the Indonesian economy. Whatever policy is issued have an impact on agricultural products to disrupt the welfare of farmers. The aim of the study is to analyze the well-being of tobacco farmers related to government policies during the Covid-19 pandemic with a case study approach and qualitative methods of phenomenology. The results showed there were various impacts due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but government policies related to agriculture during the Covid-19 pandemic have not sided with tobacco farmers, therefore, policies are needed that are not only top-down but based on the analysis of the situation and needs of the community.

Abstract

Pemerintah Kota Depok yang dipimpin Walikota Mohammad Idris dan Wakil Walikota Imam Budi Hartono memiliki program untuk menciptakan wirausaha baru sebanyak 5000 pelaku usaha dan 1000 Perempuan Pengusaha. Program ini sebagai wujud memenuhi janji kampanye dikala keduanya maju sebagai calon walikota dan wakil walikota Depok 2021-2026 guna memfasilitasi warga Depok dalam berwirausaha. Dengan jumlah 2100 peserta dari 11 kecamatan dan 63 kelurahan, permasalahan yang sering dihadapi peserta adalah tidak adanya akses modal, pemasaran, dan tidak tahu mau usaha apa. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat melalui pendampingan peserta wirausaha baru adalah agar para pelaku usaha kelak dapat mandiri dalam menjalankan usahanya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendampingan secara langsung kepada para peserta, baik melalui pertemuan rutin mingguan, pelatihan, visit dan konsultasi online melalui whatsapp grup. Lokasi yang didampingi adalah pelaku usaha wirausaha baru dan perempuan pengusaha yang berdomisili di Kelurahan Rangkapan Jaya, Kecamatan Pancoran Mas, Kota Depok. Program ini menghasilkan kemandirian para peserta dalam menjalani usahanya dan menjadi penggerak perekonomian bagi keluarga.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas pemanfaatan video tutorial sebagai media alternatif sistem pembelajaran menggunakan teknologi, dibanding belajar secara tatap muka, yang dilaksanakan di sebuah universitas swasta di Jakarta Selatan. Pembelajaran menggunakan bahasa inggris, baik penyampaian melalui video tutorial maupun secara tatap muka. Peserta berjumlah 47 orang mahasiswa strata satu ilmu komunikasi yang kerap kali menggunakan aplikasi Canva sebagai pendukung tugas-tugasnya di kampus, baik untuk materi presentasi maupun pembuatan desain di media sosial. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap dua kelas, yakni kelas yang belajar pemanfaatan Canva melalui video tutorial dan kelas yang belajar Canva secara langsung dengan pengajar di kelas secara tatap muka. Mahasiswa diberikan kuesioner usai pembelajaran dilakukan untuk mendapat gambaran hasil penyerapan dan pemahaman terhadap Canva selama belajar. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan melihat relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, triability, dan observability. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa yang belajar secara tatap muka walau bisa bertanya secara langsung, nilai yang diperoleh sebesar 79,11%. Nilainya tersebut tidak setinggi yang belajar menggunakan video tutorial sebesar 82,10%. Penggunaan alat TIK video tutorial juga efektif dalam mempermudah mahasiswa belajar, karena memungkinkan mereka untuk mengulang berkali-kali materi video bila dirasa kurang jelas. Semua tahapan pendekatan membantu mahasiswa meningkatkan keterampilan baik dalam penggunaan alat teknologi maupun belajar secara langsung yang memungkinkan mereka untuk menyerap ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi.

Abstract

Children with special needs show their own uniqueness and challenges in parenting. Caring for children with special needs requires creating meaning and cooperation among family members. Family communication patterns have a significant impact on how arrangements for caring for children with special needs are formed and implemented. The importance of family communication patterns in the context of parenting agreements for children with special needs cannot be ignored. The relationship between parents and children is the core interaction in the family system. This research aims to explore the influence of family communication patterns on parenting agreements for children with special needs. This research was designed using a descriptive causality survey method with a quantitative approach with a positivism paradigm to test research hypotheses and descriptive analysis, by collecting data from relevant respondents using a digital questionnaire. The results of the significance and hypothesis tests show that the protective and laissez faire variables have a significant value with H0 being accepted, while pluralistic and consensual have an insignificant value with H0 being rejected.

Abstract

People with disabilities face multiple challenges in entrepreneurship, including physical limitations, accessibility to resources, and social stigma that often hinders their business development. This study aims to explore the challenges and adaptive strategies faced by people with disabilities in entrepreneurship and identify critical factors that can support their business success. Focusing on the use of communication technology and financial support, this research examines how adaptive training and inclusive policies can influence the success of disabled entrepreneurs. The research methodology involves a literature review and data analysis from various sources to understand communication, adaptive mechanisms, micro and small entrepreneurship, and people with disabilities. Relevant data surrounding these variables were collected, summarized, and analyzed. This study underscores the pivotal role of communication in the adaptive mechanisms of micro and small enterprises operated by individuals with disabilities. Through an extensive literature review, it has been demonstrated that effective communication is essential for disabled entrepreneurs to establish robust social networks, engage with customers, and secure vital resources to address various business challenges.

Abstract

Pariwisata memegang peranan penting dalam kehidupan bisnis dan peningkatan ekonomi karena diyakini dapat mendongkrak pendapatan nasional dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk melakukan kajian tentang komunikasi pembangunan dari perspektif keadilan dalam pengembangan Desa Wisata Sidomulyo untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan perekonomian masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pemenuhan aspek keadilan dalam pengembangan Desa Wisata Sidomulyo, Kecamatan Silo, Kabupaten Jember, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data penelitian terdiri dari data primer yang diperoleh melalui observasi non partisipan dan wawancara mendalam, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh melalui teknik dokumentasi dan telaah pustaka. Desa Wisata Sidomulyo menunjukkan bagaimana keadilan sosial dan keberlanjutan dapat dicapai dalam proyek pariwisata. Melalui komunikasi pembangunan, pemberdayaan masyarakat, dan partisipasi kelompok marginal, desa telah menciptakan lingkungan pariwisata yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan, serta memastikan distribusi manfaat yang adil. Dengan berfokus pada keadilan, keberlanjutan, dan partisipasi, Desa Wisata Sidomulyo menjadi contoh sukses pembangunan pariwisata yang bertanggung jawab dengan dampak positif bagi masyarakat lokal dan lingkungan sekitar.

Abstract

Sharia branding and Islamic advertising are interesting to research, considering that public perception of Islamic advertising often involves the use of Halal label symbols, hijabs, caps, sarongs and religious figures as influencers. This research explores more deeply the sharia branding model in Islamic advertising practices in Indonesia, especially the one developed by Syafa'at. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a single case study approach. The primary data collection technique is through in-depth interviews with the CEO of Syafa'at, employees, several Syafa'at clients and a religious teacher who understands muamalah fiqh. Secondary data was taken from the Syafa'at website and documentation. The data analysis method uses reduction, description and drawing conclusions. The results of the research found that the sharia branding model developed by Syafa'at started from a collaborative relationship with the client through the syirkah system, and to build sharia branding using 2 strategies, namely 1) Aqliyah Islamiyah which is the Frame of Mind, namely thinking using Islamic principles ; 2) Nafsiyah Islamiyah which is the Frame of Work, namely fulfilling physical needs and instincts in accordance with Islamic rules. Meanwhile, to achieve Brand Perception you must go through 3 stages, namely 1) Brand Value, namely how Islamic values are perceived by consumers more than physical expectations; 2) Brand Promise, how to provide consumers with an understanding that the promise of Allah SWT is the most perfect; and 3) Brand Experience, how consumers feel the happiness of meeting Islam so they can face life with struggle and strength. For the highest consumer loyalty is not to the brand, but loyal to Allah SWT.

Abstract

Cultural integration is an important approach in an increasingly connected global environment, enabling organizations to respect and utilize cultural diversity to achieve their goals more effectively. This research highlights the importance of understanding and utilizing local cultural elements in global brand marketing campaigns to increase product appeal in local markets through advertising activities designed by advertising agencies. Advertising agencies have a key role in this process, as they are responsible for creating advertising content that is culturally sensitive and relevant to target audiences in different parts of the world. One of the global companies or brands that is trying to integrate culture in its advertising is Lalamove through the global campaign "Make a Winning Move" through the advertising agency they appointed, namely Froyonion HQ. This research uses qualitative methodology with interview and documentation methods. The key informant in this research is the Froyonion HQ creative team who designed advertisements from Lalamove and documentation from various sources. The results of the study concluded that cultural integration in advertising includes the use of several cultural elements such as language systems, livelihood systems and social systems. The Lalamove ad shows the importance of understanding local culture in the context of global brand marketing. With an approach that respects local culture, Lalamove not only creates attractive advertising but also wants to build consumer loyalty.

Abstract

SMEs play a vital role in the global economy, particularly in creating employment opportunities. SMEs often face challenges in building and strengthening their brand image. Limited resources and accessibility to a wider market are major obstacles. This research aims to examine communication resilience and the implementation of information technology in enhancing branding of SME products. This research method utilizes a qualitative approach with a focus on literature review and descriptive analysis. Data used are gathered from scholarly articles published between 2006 and 2024 through Google Scholar. The study results indicate that communication resilience is a crucial factor for SMEs in addressing challenges and changes in the business environment. The implementation of information technology as a strategic innovation plays a crucial role in strengthening this communication resilience. By leveraging digital platforms and social media, SMEs can enhance product visibility, engage with customers, and expand the market without substantial costs.
