Abstract

This study aims to describe the handwashing strategy in stimulating children's patience implemented at RA Ma'arif NU Plus 001 Samarinda. The social-emotional development of children aged 5-6 has been able to show tolerance and show empathy. Patience is a form of emotional expression that exists in every child, with patience will be able to control emotions, each child will be different in expressing his emotions, with the activities in washing hands together we will understand the values contained in hand washing activities together. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, as for the data sources, namely teachers and kindergarten B children, and used data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. And using data analysis techniques, namely data condensation, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study show a joint handwashing strategy in stimulating children's patience through several activities, namely providing an understanding of good hand washing procedures before washing hands, then children are directed to queue, then children wash their hands using hand soap to make it cleaner, and after those wiping hands using a tissue so as not to be careless when wiping hands.

Abstract

AbstrakPermasalahan utama yang ditemukan di Desa Tajau Landung adalah penggunaan air sungai sebagai sumber utama air bersih yang tidak memenuhi baku mutu kualitas air, sehingga berisiko terhadap kesehatan masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan masyarakat dalam mengatasi masalah yang teridentifikasi pada Pengalaman Belajar Lapangan (PBL) I, yaitu kesulitan masyarakat mengakses air bersih untuk penggunaan sehari-hari akibat kualitas air sungai dan PAMSIMAS yang tidak memenuhi standar air bersih. Sasaran program ini mencakup seluruh warga  RT 01 dan 03 di Desa Tajau Landung, Kabupaten Banjar, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan.. Adapun program pemberdayaan masyarakat ini dihadiri oleh 17 orang yang terdiri dari calon kader, masyarakat biasa dan aparat desa. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah, diskusi, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dan praktik langsung dengan demonstrasi pembuatan alat yang digunakan dalam sesi pelatihan kader. Intervensi dilakukan melalui penyuluhan tentang risiko air tercemar dan pelatihan pembuatan filter air bertingkat sederhana, serta kaderisasi masyarakat sebagai agen perubahan. Hasil program ini menunjukkan lebih dari 94% peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dengan nilai rata-rata n-gain sebesar 63,72%. Hasil pelatihan menunjukan 100% kader terampil dalam melakukan pembuatan dan penggunaan filter air dengan skor 4 dan kategori sangat baik. Dampak positif terlihat dari meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya pengolahan air sebelum digunakan dan upaya untuk menjaga kualitas lingkungan secara mandiri. Intervensi ini menunjukkan keberhasilan dalam meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam pengelolaan air bersih serta memperkuat keberlanjutan program melalui pelibatan aktif kader lokal. Kata kunci: filter air sederhana; pemberdayaan masyarakat; pencemaran air sungai AbstractThe main problem found in Tajau Landung Village is the use of river water as the main source of clean water that does not meet water quality standards, thus posing a risk to public health. This community service activity aims to improve community knowledge and skills in overcoming problems identified in Field Learning Experience (PBL) I, namely the difficulty of the community in accessing clean water for daily use due to the quality of river water and PAMSIMAS that do not meet clean water standards. The target of this program includes residents of RT 01 and 03 in Tajau Landung Village, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province. This community empowerment program was attended by 17 people consisting of prospective cadres, ordinary people and village officials. The methods used in this activity were lectures, discussions, Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and direct practice with demonstrations of making tools used in cadre training sessions. The intervention was carried out through counseling on the risks of polluted water and training on making simple multi-level water filters, as well as community cadre formation as agents of change. The results of this program showed that more than 94% of participants experienced an increase in knowledge with an average n-gain value of 63.72%. The training results showed that 100% of cadres were skilled in making and using water filters with a score of 4 and a very good category. The positive impact was seen from the increasing public awareness of the importance of water treatment before use and efforts to maintain environmental quality independently. This intervention demonstrated success in increasing community capacity in clean water management and strengthening the sustainability of the program through the active involvement of local cadres. Keywords: simple water filter; community empowerment; river water pollution
