Abstract

Pesantren as the oldest educational institution in Indonesia has a strategic role in shaping the character and morals of the nation. However, in the era of globalisation and technological advances, pesantren need to adapt to national education policies to remain relevant and effective. This article aims to analyse pesantren education management in the context of national education policy and provide recommendations for future development. The methods used are literature review and policy analysis. The results of the analysis show that pesantrens are distinctive in their education management, but require synergy with national policies to improve quality and competitiveness. Recommendations include strengthening the curriculum, improving the quality of teaching staff, and improving educational facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Strategic management is the science and art of planning, implementing, evaluating every decision of organization that can enable performance to meet targets and get goals. This research aims to describe strategic management which includes planning, implementation and evaluation of strategies at SDIT Citra Az-Zahra West Jakarta. The research approach and methods use descriptive qualitative using data collection through literature studies, documentation, documentation. Data analysis are carried out by collect of data, reduce of data, present of data, and draw of conclusions. Meanwhile, data validity use data and method and source triangulation. The results of research strategic management research at SDIT Citra Az-Zahra include several activities, namely planning including formulating vision, mission and goals, identifying internal and external factors, determining superior strategies, short until long-term planning. Strategic implementation is determining school policies which include government policies and the school's own policies, motivating educators and education staff by providing several awards, human resources allocated, and school culture. Strategic evaluation includes monitoring of plan and implementation, individual and school performance measured, and improvement steps taked.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education in Madrasah Aliyah (MA) is one of the major challenges in the Indonesian education system, which combines religious and general curriculum. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) evaluation, and 4) obstacles to the principal's strategy in improving the quality of education at MA Da'il Khairaat West Jakarta. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data source in this study is primary data, namely the Principal, while the secondary data of this study are the Deputy Head of Academic Affairs, Deputy Head of Student Affairs, Deputy Head of Religious Affairs, Teachers, Committee, Students, and Parents. Data collection methods are by observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity test of the data uses triangulation techniques, sources and extension of observations. While data analysis with an interactive model begins with data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study of the principal's strategy in improving the quality of education are 1) Strategic planning begins with an analysis of the internal and external environment, 2) Implementation of the principal's strategy, namely the division of job descriptions; 3) Evaluation of the principal's strategy, namely direct supervision of the program's implementation, 4) obstacles and solutions to the principal's strategy in improving quality, namely the first obstacle is human error, the principal's solution is to provide coaching, the second is the lack of facilities and infrastructure, the solution is to add facilities and infrastructure by working together with parents.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the strategies used by teachers to enhance their abilities. SD Daarul Qur'an Kalibata employs a dual curriculum, both national and international. The school must ensure that teachers possess the necessary skills to effectively implement the curriculum in an ever-changing educational landscape. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach and designed as a case study. Data was obtained through comprehensive interviews with the school principal. The research findings indicate that the principal strives to enhance teachers' professional competence through workshops, academic supervision, and collaboration with other schools. The study also found that the success of teacher professional development is greatly influenced by school management support. Therefore, this research emphasizes that strategies to enhance teachers' professional competence are crucial in efforts to create an effective learning environment at SD Daarul Qur'an Kalibata. Keyword: Strategy, Competency Development, Teacher. Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan dan menganalisis strategi yang digunakan guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka. SD Daarul Qur'an Kalibata menggunakan kurikulum ganda, yaitu nasional dan internasional. Sekolah harus memastikan bahwa guru memiliki kemampuan yang diperlukan untuk menerapkan kurikulum dengan efektif dalam dunia pendidikan yang terus berubah. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan dirancang sebagai studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara menyeluruh dengan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah berusaha untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru melalui workshop, supervisi akademik, dan kolaborasi dengan sekolah lain. Studi ini juga menemukan bahwa keberhasilan pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru sangat dipengaruhi oleh dukungan manajemen sekolah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa strategi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru sangat penting dalam upaya untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang efektif di SD Daarul Qur’an Kalibata. Kata kunci: Strategi, Pengembangan Kompetensi, Guru.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the strategy of raising alumni donation in a higher education. A higher education for the developed countries has a big and important role, not only in producing competent graduates in their fields but also as the driving force for the development of economy and civilization. The government has an interest and encourages a higher education to play more role. Therefore, the government issues a policy related to the autonomy of higher education which is known university with status of legal entity. University of Indonesia is one of the universities that has the status. Consequence of the status is subsidy cuts. To overcome the problem, University of Indonesia looks for one of new sources which is alumni donation. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. Collecting data uses the techniques of observation, interview, and documentation study. The result of research indicates that decisions taken by University of Indonesia as legal entity state university are strategic innovative, and attractive including the change of structure, innovation of programs, classification of alumni, and non-money donation.

Abstract

Kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata Dari Rumah (KKN-DR) dilaksanakan secara individu di wilayah tinggal masing-masing mahasiswa, menghadapi keterbatasan dalam interaksi sosial, dana, dan perizinan di beberapa wilayah. Melalui KKN-DR, mahasiswa berinteraksi dengan masyarakat, menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan, dan mengabdikan diri kepada masyarakat. KKN-DR difokuskan padapencegahan Covid-19 dengan sosialisasi protokol kesehatan, kampanye bahaya Covid-19, danpenyediaan perangkat kesehatan. Mahasiswa memiliki kesempatan untuk mengaktualisasikankompetensi dalam pengajaran dan penelitian. Hasilnya mencakup pendidikan, penelitian, danpengabdian masyarakat, sebagai bagian dari tugas tri darma perguruan tinggi. Kegiatan KKN-DRdiharapkan memberikan efek positif jangka panjang bagi mahasiswa dan masyarakat, meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya kesehatan, serta memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam upayapencegahan penyebaran Covid-19. KKN-DR kelompok 98 berhasil dilaksanakan di tengah keterbatasan pandemi, membuktikan adaptabilitas dan kontribusi mahasiswa kepada masyarakatdalam situasi sulit. Keberhasilan KKN-DR ini melibatkan peningkatan kesadaran akan protokolkesehatan, kampanye bahaya Covid-19, dan implementasi langkah-langkah pencegahan. Dampakpositif jangka panjang KKN-DR ini terhadap mahasiswa dan masyarakat menjadi bukti keberhasilannya.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the remuneration policy and its impact on lecturer performance at State Islamic Universities in Indonesia. The policy, initiated by the central government as a form of recognition for lecturers' professionalism, is assessed using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. A qualitative approach was employed to comprehensively analyze the policy’s contextual background, resource allocation, implementation processes, and outcomes. Data was collected through document analysis and in-depth interviews with key mid-level stakeholders, including deans, members of the internal supervisory unit, the quality assurance team, the planning and finance bureau, the finance department, and the personnel bureau. The data were analyzed using a descriptive method involving data collection, reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the remuneration policy positively influences lecturers’ performance, particularly in fulfilling the three pillars of Indonesian higher education: education, research, and community service. This study provides valuable insights for university leaders and policymakers in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of remuneration policy implementation to support institutional advancement.

Abstract

Education is ultimately a humanizing experience. There-fore it can’t be separated from social activities. The school as a facilitator has to be safe and proper for all of the students' needs. The educator has the responsibility to make the students learn by creating the supporting environment. One of the important values in social activities is about being inclusive. Students with different interests or backgrounds usually had few friends. This case is extremely important because it will affect student’s habits in the future. They might feel inferior in the communities. In this case value based education has an important role. It was needed for the foundation as the establishment of a student inclusivism attitude. By the values acknowledged, students can understand more about acceptance and tolerance for any diversity that might happen at school. This research aims to describe the value based education to develop the inclusivism attitude. This study used a library research approach with content analysis technique to display the data. As a result, value based education can be used as a preventive action for misbehaving exclusivism. The values that had been taught help students to develop an inclusive and open attitude toward a variety of multicultural thoughts including the different interests.
