Abstract

Education in today's pandemic requires better attention and readiness from both teachers and students. This diverse readiness also requires continuous learning and finding out to form the character of good students. In the present, students need to be continuously educated and understood related to character education. The purpose of this study is to describe how to instill the character of caring for the environment in schools and find out how teachers use devices as learning media during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the implementation of caring for the environment can be applied by school equipment to students, to foster and shape the character of students who are aware of the importance of preserving the environment and the importance of maintaining natural balance. The achievement of the environmental literacy movement is supported by teachers, school staff, and students and is equipped with optimal facilities to support the successful implementation of the optimal environmental literacy movement. The use of devices in the learning process is maximized as a substitute for the teacher in understanding the material for students. This is related to assessment because using online teachers also provides tolerance related to collecting and assessing assignments. The teacher always checks and warns students who have not collected the results of today's learning every afternoon, so that there is an opportunity for students who want to improve or even haven't done it. The diversity of learning platforms used is expected that the enthusiasm of students in learning will continue to exist so that they are not psychologically depressed too

Abstract

Postcolonialism literary criticism is a critical approach to literature that involves the historical context of colonialism and its impact on culture, identity, and power. Postcolonial literary criticism also helps provide an understanding of the concept of 'the Other', i.e., the way in which colonial culture denigrates and belittles other cultures outside its nation. This study aims to examine the article by Ki Hadjar Dewantara written in the newspaper Express with an approach to literary criticism of postcolonialism. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative literature study with an analysis method, namely content analysis. The source of this research data is an article entitled "Als ik een Nederlander was" or "If I Were a Dutchman," written by Ki Hadjar Dewantara (KHD) and published in De Express Newspaper on July 13, 1913. The research data is in the form of discourse quotes contained in the article. Data collection techniques include read, listen, and record techniques. The findings contained resistance in the form of mimicry, hybridity, and ambivalence. The resistance to mimicry or imitation shown by KHD is included in the category of closed or covert reciprocity because the rejection of the policies implemented by the Dutch government is opposed by writing that contains subtle but sharp satire. Hibridity resistance is found in the choice of KHD diction that deliberately explores and contrasts the words inlander-nederlander, freedom and slavery, freedom and oppression. The ambivalence resistance that was found was KHD, who initially wanted to become a Dutchman with his various arguments that flattered as well as satirized and gave condemnation to the colonial nation as KHD's strategy in awakening the patriotism and nationalism of the Indonesian people to fight for independence.

Abstract

This article is a quasi-experiment with a non-equipvalent control group design. The data obtained in this article are from SD Negeri Jomblangan Banguntapan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The subject used is the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Jomblangan. The object used is the ability to think critically. Data collection techniques used are observation techniques, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive. The results of the analysis show that students' critical thinking skills have increased by using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This is evidenced by an increase in critical thinking skills which can be seen from the average score of the test results. The average value of the pretest was 70.14, after the action was taken using the PBL model the average value increased to 86.14. The results of the t-test for experimental pre-test data and control pre-test showed a sig value of 0.332 (sig value> 0.05) or t count <t table (0.980 <1.67), that is, there was no difference in critical thinking skills during the pre-test between the experimental class and the control class. This means that the initial ability to think critically is the same, so different treatments may be given. From these results it can be seen that there is an increase in critical thinking skills in thematic learning with PPKN class V SDN Jomblangan Banguntapan Bantul.

Abstract

This article is a development (R&D) with the 4D (Four-D) development model. This study aims to, explain the design of picture storybook media development in learning IPAS of grade V students of SD Negeri Tamansari Yogyakarta, explain the feasibility of picture storybook media development products in learning IPAS of grade V students of SD Negeri Tamansari 1 Yogyakarta, explain the learning outcomes of students by using picture storybook media in learning IPAS of grade V students of SD Negeri Tamansari 1 Yogyakarta. The research subjects were fifth grade students of Tamansari I Yogyakarta Elementary School with a total of 26 students. The object of this research is an illustrated storybook of IPAS subject CHAPTER 7 “My Region is My Pride”. The design process of developing picture storybooks is carried out with 4 stages, namely, the define stage, the design stage, the development stage, the disseminate stage. Feasibility assessment for IPAS subject picture storybook products “CHAPTER 7 My Regional Pride”, product feasibility assessment conducted by media experts, material experts, and class teachers. The use of learning media with picture storybooks gets a better class average than before using picture storybooks. picture story learning media is effective to be applied for elementary school student learning. Before using the average value of student learning outcomes 80.58 and after using picture story media has increased quite well, namely 86.54. This means that picture story books can improve student learning outcomes more effectively and well.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out whether the use of trading place learning strategies can increase social studies learning activities in class IV SD Negeri 2 Glodogan, Klaten. The research method used is the spiral model which consists of 4 components, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that through cycle I and cycle II there was an increase in student learning activities. The improvement in this study can be seen from the results of the data obtained from cycle I to cycle II. This can be explained from the beginning in the pre-cycle after working on evaluation questions and the results of observing learning activities to obtain the final result of an average percentage of 62.1% in the good category and 40% in the bad student category. Then in cycle I after working on evaluation questions and observations of student learning activities the final results obtained an average percentage of 74.1% in the good category and 48.1% in the bad category. Judging from the results obtained in cycle I, the expected intervention had not yet been achieved, so the researcher continued to cycle II. after cycle II has been completed the results of working on evaluation questions and the results of observing student learning activities obtain the final results of an average percentage of 85.9% and 77.5% in the good category.

Abstract

Limbah menjadi permasalahan lingkungan di Indonesia.  Salah satu limbah yang berdampak bagi lingkungan adalah limbah organik. Limbah organik yang sering ditemukan adalah buah-buahan seperti limbah kulit durian. Dusun pantog wetan, Banjaroyo, Kalibawang, Kulon Progo merupakan sentra penghasil buah Durian di Yogyakarta. Banyaknya penjualan buah durian, mengakibatkan menumpuknya limbah kulit buah Durian. Menumpuknya limbah kulit buah Durian berdampak pada lingkungan yang kotor dan mengeluarkan bau yang tidak sedap. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi permasalahan limbah kulit durian yang menumpuk di Dusun pantog wetan, Banjaroyo, Kalibawang, Kulonprogo sebagai sentra penghasil buah durian di Yogyakarta salah satunya dengan melakukan pelatihan BRIKURAN (Briket Kulit Durian) yang bertujuan untuk mendukung dalam memberdayakan perempuan dan menambah nilai jual limbah kulit durian menjadi briket. Metode kegiatan yang akan dilakukan berupa pelatihan dan sosialisasi pembuatan bahan bakar alternatif biobriket dari limbah kulit buah durian. Hasil pelatihan ini yaitu dapat meningkatkan nilai jual limbah kulit durian sebagai alternatif bahan bakar dan memberdayakan perempuan di Dusun Pantog Wetan, Kulonprogo.   Utilization of durian fruit peel waste into biobriquettes as a renewable alternative fuel   Abstract: Waste is an environmental problem in Indonesia.  One of the wastes that has an impact on the environment is organic waste. Organic waste that is often found is fruit, such as durian skin waste. Pantog Wetan Hamlet, Banjaroyo, Kalibawang, Kulon Progo is a Durian fruit producing center in Yogyakarta. The large number of durian fruit sales has resulted in the accumulation of Durian fruit skin waste. The accumulation of Durian peel waste results in a dirty environment and emits an unpleasant odor. Therefore, to overcome the problem of durian skin waste accumulating in Pantog Wetan Hamlet, Banjaroyo, Kalibawang, Kulonprogo, as a durian fruit producing center in Yogyakarta, one of the ways is by conducting BRIKURAN (Durian Skin Briquettes) training, which aims to support empowering women and adding value. selling durian skin waste into briquettes. The activity method that will be carried out is in the form of training and socialization on making alternative biobriquette fuel from durian fruit peel waste. The results of the training can increase the selling value of durian kulit waste as an alternative fuel and empower women in Pantog Wetan Hamlet, Kulonprogo.

Abstract

The influence of the lack of student learning motivation will be related to learning outcomes. The diverse character of students makes social attitudes change due to the impact of technology. This study aims to find out how to increase students' learning motivation and social skills through the role of teachers after the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative type of research by using the principal as a key informant. For the research sample, the principal appointed several teachers and selected the students in order to achieve data validity. Data collection techniques using observation techniques followed by interview techniques are the main techniques in this study. This study uses documentation techniques to complement the results of observation and interview techniques. The data analysis used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this descriptive study indicate that: in increasing learning motivation in the learning process, the teacher relates it to the material and everyday life. This is done by utilizing several existing facilities such as the use of LCD in the form of videos, and images according to the material to be studied. To improve student's social skills, teachers implement them with teacher behavior and attitudes. The teacher as a facilitator helps make it easier for students to receive learning materials. The teacher acts as a guide for children to get used to applying good social skills in every activity. Teachers are good role models in interacting with others. Abstract

Guru merupakan tokoh utama yang mewujudkan aktivitas guru selama pembelajaran dan juga mengarahkan serta mengarahkan pembelajaran serta menyediakan lingkungan belajar yang nyaman sebagai motivasi belajar yang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) peran guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan kecerdasan sosial siswa, (2) kendala guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan kecerdasan sosial, (3) solusi untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut. dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan kecerdasan sosial melalui pembelajaran sosial siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriftif kualitatif. Penelitian ini berlokasi di SDN Kotagede 4 Yogyakarta dan dilaksanakan dari bulan Januari sampai Febuari 2024. Penelitian ini menggunkan teknik observasi saat pembelajaran, wawancara kepala sekolah, guru kelas V dan siswa kelas V dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Uji Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber, teknik dan waktu, dan bahan referensi. Teknik analisis menggunakan model Miles and Huberman meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Peran guru sebagai pembimbing, pelatih, demonstrasikan, pengelola kelas dan motivator, guru mengintegrasikan peningkatan motivasi belajar dan kecerdasan sosial ke dalam pembelajaran dan mengembangkan pembelajaran aktif siswa. (2) Kendala yang dihadapi guru adalah perbedaan karakter, latar belakang keluarga, perbedaan sosial budaya dan saluran media serta metode yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran agar siswa dapat menikmati pembelajaran. 3) guru mengatasi kendala yaitu menciptakan lingkungan yang nyaman, membiasakan dan memahamkan kepada siswa sikap sosial siswa yang baik dan sikap sosial siswa yang baik serta lebih memotivasi siswa.
