Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan analisis estetika karawitan Jawa dalam kaitannya dengan nilai-nilai luhur Tamansiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yaitu mengamati secara langsung ke lapangan dengan melakukan wawancara kepada pelaku seni, lembaga, dan masyarakat sekitar. Hasil wawancara digunakan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan hambatan dari masing-masing kelompok karawitan yang ada dilingkungan Tamansiswa. Hasil wawancara di analisis menggunakan analisis SWOT kemudian dipetakan dengan matriks EFAS dan IFAS. Tujuan akhir dari penelitian ini adalah merumuskan strategi analisis estetika pada karawitan jawa yang berada di Yogyakarta dan khususnya berada di lingkungan Tamansiswa. Gamelan dan Tamansiswa menjadi satu kesatuan estetika karena nilai yang terkandung dalam gamelan itu sendiri erat dengan ajaran Tamansiswa yaitu Tri Saksi Jiwa (Cipta, Rasa, Karsa) cipta selalu terkait dengan bentuk instrument gamelan sedangkan rasa adalah manifestasi  dari hasil yang di bunyikan dari gamelan kemudian karsa adalah ciri khas kebudayaan yang meliputi kekuatan gotong-royong (kebersamaan) dalam menyajikan pertunjukan gamelan.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has almost affected all human activities in this world, one of which is the field of education. Various strategies in fulfilling education are implemented through an online system according to the health protocol recommended by the government. The strengths and weaknesses of the implementation of education using this online system are dynamic in itself for both tutors and students. This study aims to review how the process of implementing education using an online system. As researchers and practitioners of education, the implementation of learning with this online system has its challenges because it cannot meet face to face directly but the material presented must be understood by students. Tamansiswa in this case still inherits the teachings of Ki Hadjar Dewantara which in its implementation are very useful in online learning needs. The method of honing, loving, fostering in the implementation of learning is expected to be an effective strategy for the implementation of learning. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach so that researchers can describe and answer problems of a current phenomenon or event. Regarding the implementation of learning with an online system, the researcher uses one of the concepts of Ki Hadjar Dewantara's teachings, namely sharpening, compassion, fostering in single variables as well as correlation and/or comparison of various variables. It can be understood that the descriptive research method is a method used to tell the situation in the field supported by facts obtained by observing and examining in-depth to find understanding and the truth of the data.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic has experienced significant dynamics. Starting from learning strategies with systems in the network (online) to implementing the education system in a new way. Technology is developing very rapidly today, even humans can do anything with the technology. This is an advantage as well as a weakness that must be understood together in the world of education. The output of education is not only to make students smart but also to build mental, spiritual, and high integrity. For this reason, it is needed not only the ability to use technology but also to hone reason and mind so that they can have good character. Tamansiswa in this case still inherits the teachings of Ki Hadjar Dewantara which in its implementation is very useful for online learning needs. The Among system approach in the implementation of learning is expected to be an effective strategy for the implementation of the lesson in karawitan courses. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach so that researchers can describe and answer the problems of a phenomenon or current event. Regarding the implementation of learning with the online system, the researcher used a sample of Ki Hadjar Dewantara's teachings, namely the Among system and the Sariswara method in single variables as well as correlations and or comparisons of various variables. It can be understood that the descriptive research method is a method used to describe the situation in the field, supported by facts obtained employing observation and in-depth research to seek understanding and correctness of the data.

Abstract

Karawitan is one of the performances that has developed and been culturally entrenched in the areas of Indonesia, especially in Java, and even it has developed in foreign countries. Karawitan is a medium generated from some elements of the gamelan instruments covering  sound aesthetics and presentation aesthetics. The unity of the musical elements in karawitan constitutes a paradigm for the manifestation of life, nature, and the environment. The social function of presenting a gendhing in Javanese karawitan is the method applied by society, ranging from the religious characters and aspects, families, to individuals.Karawitan can be narrowed down as a medium of education, which can be seen from the viewpoint of how to play it; karawitan becomes a musical presentation enoyable to listen to when played together. This reflects that togetherness is one thing that is very important to achieve quality music (musical arrangement). This also means moral education in order that we live in togetherness through cooperation, tolerance, empathy, self-adjustment, well-founded dispute not unfounded dispute, and avoidance of selfishness and being individualistic.

Abstract

Ki Hadjar Dewantara's teachings which have accumulated as Tamansiswa's teachings are so prerequisite for noble values of manners. One of the teachings in the form of the concept of education formulated by Ki Hadjar Dewantara is the Three Education Centers as teacher saka strengthening character education for the younger generation. The purpose of this study was to describe the application of the Three Education Centers in Taman Muda Ibu Pawiyatan as an effort to strengthen student character education, and explain the supporting and inhibiting factors and describe the results of the implementation of the Three Education Centers. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with the subject of this study are residents of Pawiyatan Ibu Muda School in Yogyakarta, which is the center of elementary school students' education level. Data collection techniques used are observation of recording techniques, and in depth interview techniques. The data validity checking technique uses source triangulation techniques. This study has the benefit of implementing the concept of the Three Education Centers that become the school culture in Taman Muda Ibu Pawiyatan. In addition, the long-term benefits of this study, namely the concept of three education centers can be cultured and implemented holistically in every educational environment.

Abstract

The process of students’ character instillation was carried out in Masehi Temanggung elementary school to establish ethics, character and moral attitudes that can be used by the students as the role models in their environment. The characters that are intended to be established in Masehi Temanggung elementary school is the students’ character that is naturally established, in a sense that the change of the students’ behavior is due to their self-motivation based on what they do everyday; and not just merely due to the school obligation. The researchers employed qualitative approach method by observing thoroughly the students’ behavior occurred in the school setting. It is expected that the results from the direct observations will be able to portray the reality hidden in that situation. The evaluation method is used to analyze the information that is relevant to the students’ behavior at school and the next stage is classifying those data into two categories: first category is the students’ behavior that needs to be supervised and the second category is the students’ behavior that deserve the reward. In conclusion, making it as their habits can do the process of students’ character instillation. The students’ habits of good deeds are also carried out through games, for example by playing traditional games and toys (dolanan). There is a moral value implied in the traditional games and toys that is good to support the students’ character instillation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategies used by teachers in achieving student learning capabilities through smartphones in the face-to-face learning era at SD N Tanjungtirto 2. This study uses a qualitative approach. While the data sources are school principals, teachers in grades I – VI, and students in upper grades IV, V, VI. The methods used in data collection are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses, data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate the strategies that are carried out by the teacher in achieving student learning capabilities through smartphone media by making planning concepts that can make it easier for students to understand the material and maximize the use of smartphone media to make students more interested in learning. The supporting factors are using the WA Group application, Google Classroom, Google Meet, Zoom, Quiz, Canva, PPT, Flipping Book, and learning videos via Youtube as a means of supporting student learning media. Obstacles faced by teachers are in the form of limited time in delivering material, quotas, signals, and rainy weather so the process of delivering material is not optimal. As well as how to overcome obstacles if you experience signal problems, the teacher can send material in the form of pdf, photos, and youtube links through the WA group or can provide compensation in the form of free quotas for students and move to a place where the internet network is more stable.

Abstract

Serat Sari Swara is an old literary work (1930) written directly by KHD using Javanese script and in Javanese in the form of tembang (poetry genre). This study of old literary works is important because it is an intellectual heritage of the work of the Father of the Indonesian National Education (KHD), which contains many moral and philosophical teachings that are useful as lessons and knowledge for the current generation. The data analysis method used is the content analysis method through the perspective of literary interpretation. The primary data source of this research comes from the Serat Sari Swara script, especially the Asmaradana Wasitarini songs. The results of the research on the philosophical meaning of the Asmaradana Wasita Rini song are about advice and teaching to women in fighting for their rights to obtain gender equality and women's independence, as well as the dedication of women (wives) to men (husbands) so that they can live in harmony and happiness. In detail, the contents of Wasita Rini's philosophical meaning are as follows: 1) teachings to women to always maintain the norms of decency and decency; 2) Protect themselves and their honour; 3) Women need to be respected and respected and do not like being treated arbitrarily; 4) can control themselves; 5) A woman must be conscientious and good at sorting out good and bad things; 6) Women must have the intelligence of creativity, taste, and intention (morals).

Abstract

This study aims to, (1) develop products in the form of interactive PPT-based learning media on social studies learning on the material of Dutch colonization in Indonesia grade V SD Negeri Bangunharjo Sewon Bantul, and (2) test the feasibility of interactive PPT-based learning media on social studies learning in grade V students of SD Negeri Bangunharjo Sewon Bantul.The research method used is the development research method (Research & Development or R&D) which consists of 6 stages, namely: potential and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, design revision, and limited trial. In the sample of this study, researchers took grade V students totaling 6 people. Data collection techniques using documentation, semi-structured interviews, and observation. Validation of Interactive PPT learning media is given to two validators, namely material and media experts to determine the validity of the products developed. Student response questionnaires were given to students to determine the quality of Interactive PPT-based learning media. The data were analyzed using quantitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that (1) Interactive PPT-based learning media for grade V social studies content on the material of Dutch colonization in Indonesia has an Interactive PPT-based learning media development process (2) Interactive PPT-based learning media teaching materials obtained a feasibility percentage of 84% material experts with very feasible criteria, while from media experts obtained a feasibility percentage of 92% with very feasible criteria. Student responses from the limited trial obtained a percentage of 95.33% with very feasible criteria. So, it can be concluded that Interactive PPT-based learning media on grade V social studies content is very feasible to use as teaching material in the learning process, and is very well used during the learning process.
