Abstract

Education in today's pandemic requires better attention and readiness from both teachers and students. This diverse readiness also requires continuous learning and finding out to form the character of good students. In the present, students need to be continuously educated and understood related to character education. The purpose of this study is to describe how to instill the character of caring for the environment in schools and find out how teachers use devices as learning media during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the implementation of caring for the environment can be applied by school equipment to students, to foster and shape the character of students who are aware of the importance of preserving the environment and the importance of maintaining natural balance. The achievement of the environmental literacy movement is supported by teachers, school staff, and students and is equipped with optimal facilities to support the successful implementation of the optimal environmental literacy movement. The use of devices in the learning process is maximized as a substitute for the teacher in understanding the material for students. This is related to assessment because using online teachers also provides tolerance related to collecting and assessing assignments. The teacher always checks and warns students who have not collected the results of today's learning every afternoon, so that there is an opportunity for students who want to improve or even haven't done it. The diversity of learning platforms used is expected that the enthusiasm of students in learning will continue to exist so that they are not psychologically depressed too

Abstract

Minyak jelantah merupakan limbah yang sering dihasilkan dari sisa penggorengan rumah tangga maupun pedagang. Tepatnya di Dusun Pawirodirjan, Gondomanan, Yogyakarta mayoritas masyarakat yang masih membuang limbah rumah tangga minyak jelantah begitu saja tanpa adanya pengelolaan kembali agar lebih ramah lingkungan. Minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pemanfaatan minyak jelantah menyebabkan limbah ini sering terbuang begitu saja. Limbah minyak jelantah  yang dibuang begitu saja tanpa diolah kembali akan mencemari lingkungan dan kesehatan. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada penulis memiliki tujuan yaitu dengan diberikannya pemahaman dan pelatihan mengenai pemanfaatan limbah minyak jelantah menjadi lilin aromaterapi di Dusun Pawirodirjan, Gondomanan,Yogyakarta masyarakat dapat lebih menjaga kelestarian lingkungan serta mampu merubah limbah minyak jelantah menjadi barang yang bernilai ekonomis. Metode yang digunakan untuk melaksanakan projek yaitu dengan (1) pelatihan; (2) demonstrasi; (3) pendampingan; (4) evaluasi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari-Mei 2024. Lokasi projek berada di Dusun Pawirodirjan, Gondomanan,Yogyakarta. Hasil kegiatan Abdimas ini yaitu masyarakat  menjadi  memiliki pengetahuan mengenai bahaya minyak jelantah bagi lingkungan dan kesehatan serta dapat memanfaatkan limbah menjadi barang yang bernilai ekonomis. Menjadi peluang usaha bagi ibu-ibu PKK untuk menambah pendapatan setiap harinya sehingga mampu menciptakan ruang UMKM bagi ibu-ibu PKK Dusun Pawirodirjan. Kata kunci: Lilin aroma terapi, Minyak jelantah, Pengelolaan limbah, Pelatihan.

Abstract

Tujuan – Pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam menjaga Kesehatan dalam rangka menjaga Kesehatan dari dampak kotoran hewan. Sosialisasi ini memiliki tujuan menanggulangi penyakit Leptospirosis pada masyarakat kulwaru wetan kalurahan kulwaru, kapanewon Wates, kabupaten wates. Metode – Langkah awal yang dilaksanakan adalah melaksanakan survei lokasi di Kulwaru Wetan, Kalurahan Kulwaru, Kulon Progo. Dimana tim pengabdian melaksanakan survey ke lokasi dan mencari permasalahan atau kendala yang terjadi tentang Kesehatan. Hasil – Sejauh kegiatan terlaksana, progam berjalan dengan lancar, dengan antusiasme dari ibu-ibu PKK Padukuhan Kulwaru Wetan. Faktor yang menghambat jalannya kegiatan ini adalah kegiatan yang berjalan tidak sesuai dengan waktu yang telah ditentukan karena keterlambatan pemateri. Namun, ibu-ibu PKK Padukuhan Kulwaru Wetan tetap kooperatif dan mendukung jalannya penyuluhan ini.

Abstract

Purpose − Making coconut fiber doormats with the aim of producing coconut fiber doormats to help reduce coconut waste produced from the coconut processing industry. This supports more sustainable and environmentally friendly processing practices in Sidomulyo Hamlet, Sampang, Gedangsari, Gunungkidul. Coconut fiber is a natural, renewable material. Using coconut fiber to make doormats supports environmental sustainability because it reduces dependence on synthetic materials or plastic.. Method − Activities in the form of training in making coconut fiber mats. The activity process informs the public about how to make coconut fiber mats. Mat products made from coconut fiber help reduce coconut waste produced from the coconut processing industry. This supports more sustainable and environmentally friendly processing practices . Findings − This activity was participated in by the Sidomulyo Hamlet Community, RT 01, 02, 03 and 04, at the Sidomulyo Hamlet Hall, RT 02. This activity was enthusiastically welcomed by the mothers of Sidomulyo residents who were interested in coconut fiber mats being used to clean floors and other surfaces at home. , office, or public place. The coarse fibers of coconut fiber help lift dust, dirt, and other small particles from surfaces.

Abstract

The Teacher's Role in the Implementation of the Among System in Class IV PPKn Learning at SD Negeri Kmember Pleret Bantul. Thesis of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tamansiswa University, Yogyakarta.The purpose of this study was to describe the teacher's role in the implementation of the among system in the fourth grade PPKn SD Negeri Pleret Bantul. To find out the supporting and inhibiting factors of the teacher's role in the implementation of the among system in class IV PPKn SD Negeri Pleret Bantul. To find out the impact of the teacher's role in the implementation of the among system in class IV PPKn learning at SD Negeri Kmember Pleret Bantul. This research was conducted at Kmember Pleret Public Elementary School, Bantul. This research was conducted in February 2023. The subjects in this study were school principals, grade IV teachers and grade IV students. This data collection technique uses observation techniques, interviews and documentation. The research instrument is an observation guide, interview guide and documentation guide. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation and technical triangulation and using reference materials. Data analysis techniques in this study used Miles and Huberman's analysis which consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data withdrawal. The results of the study show that (1) the role of the teacher in implementing the among system in Civics learning is very important, namely the teacher as a teacher or educator, the teacher as a guide, the teacher as a mediator and facilitator, the teacher as an evaluator, the teacher as an example and a good role model, and being able to protect , provide direction, encouragement or motivation and realize the independent spirit of students in learning according to the interests and talents of students. (2) Factors supporting the teacher's role in implementing the among system are the competence or ability of the teacher in teaching, the teacher's understanding of the among system, the teacher's personality or level of concern for students, the parents' trust in the teacher and the support from the school principal. (3) The inhibiting factors include the level of care and patience in educating students, the limited time used and the child's willingness to learn. (4) The impact is that learning objectives will be successfully achieved, student character can develop optimally, students can feel comfortable in learning activities in the school environment, students will feel more enthusiastic about learning and feel happy in participating in learning activities so that the School Movement is Fun (GSM) can be achieved well.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe character values in character values developed in thematic learning of low-grade elementary schools in Kota Madya Yogyakarta; 2) describe the strategy of presenting character values in low-grade thematic learning in Kota Madya Yogyakarta. The expected output of this study is a research report related to character values in thematic learning in low-grade elementary schools and publications in scientific journals. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with the researcher as the key instrument. Data collection is carried out by the note-taking method. Data analysis is qualitative descriptive. The object of research is the cultivation of character values in the Madya City of Yogyakarta. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, data verification, and triangulation.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe the character value of responsibility in the family environment; 2) describe the strategy of presenting the character value of responsibility in the family environment. The expected output of this study is a research report related to character values in thematic learning in low-grade elementary schools and publications in scientific journals. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with the researcher as the key instrument. Data collection is carried out by the note-taking method. Data analysis is qualitative descriptive. The object of research is students and parents at the elementary school level in the city of Yogyakarta. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, data verification, and triangulation. The results of this study show that character education, especially character responsibility has been implemented in the family. What is done is more directing than commanding and even scolding.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of student learning styles on PPKn learning achievement of SDN Tegalrejo 1 Yogyakarta.This type of research is quantitative, the place of research at SD N 1 Tegalrejo Yogyakarta. The population in this study was all grade V students totaling 52 students, with a sampling technique using saturated sampling, where all members of the population were used as research samples. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation, Data analysis techniques with prerequisite analysis (normality and linearity tests), and hypothesis tests. The results showed that there was a positive influence of learning style on PPKn learning achievement of grade V students of SD Negeri Tegalrejo 1 Yogyakarta. Evidenced by the significant value of the learning style variable 0.000 smaller than probability 0.05 and t-test count r 0.563 > r table 0.268.

Abstract

The Effect of Problem Based Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes in Pancasila Education Learning for Grade IV of Glagah Elementary School, Yogyakarta. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on Student Learning Outcomes in Pancasila Education Learning for Grade IV of Glagah Elementary School, Yogyakarta. This study is a type of quantitative research with a quasi-experiment. The sample in this study was 55 grade IV students. Which is divided into two groups, namely 27 students in the experimental class who use the problem based learning model and 28 students for the control class who use the discovery learning model. Data collection techniques consist of observation, tests, documentation. For research instruments  test instrument sheets consisting of pretest and posttest. The validity of the questions hasbeen tested and obtained 20 valid questions and 5 invalid questions. Data analysis techniques are carried out through normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis tests. The results of this study indicate that the Problem Based Learning model applied has been proven to improve student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the increase in the average value of Pre-test and Post-test in the experimental class, which was 12.22 increasing to16.33. The Problem Based Learning model has also proven to be more effective than the previous model that has been applied in the control class. This can be proven by comparing the post-test results of the experimental class and the control class, where the average value of the post-test of the experimental class was 16.22. While the control class was 14.92. Based on the results of the Independent Sample T-test, the significance value of thepost-test was 0.006 <0.05, which means there is a significant difference between the two classes.

Abstract

The influence of the lack of student learning motivation will be related to learning outcomes. The diverse character of students makes social attitudes change due to the impact of technology. This study aims to find out how to increase students' learning motivation and social skills through the role of teachers after the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative type of research by using the principal as a key informant. For the research sample, the principal appointed several teachers and selected the students in order to achieve data validity. Data collection techniques using observation techniques followed by interview techniques are the main techniques in this study. This study uses documentation techniques to complement the results of observation and interview techniques. The data analysis used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this descriptive study indicate that: in increasing learning motivation in the learning process, the teacher relates it to the material and everyday life. This is done by utilizing several existing facilities such as the use of LCD in the form of videos, and images according to the material to be studied. To improve student's social skills, teachers implement them with teacher behavior and attitudes. The teacher as a facilitator helps make it easier for students to receive learning materials. The teacher acts as a guide for children to get used to applying good social skills in every activity. Teachers are good role models in interacting with others.
