Abstract

Classroom Action Research (CAR) in two cycles aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes, especially social arithmetic, by using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning approach in class VIIC students of SMP Muhamadiyah. Student learning outcomes increase with an average value of 73.54 percent in the first cycle and 91.45 percent in the second cycle with a KKM value of 75, improving student learning outcomes by using the RME learning strategy in social arithmetic subjects. This shows that the RME strategy has been adequate and has succeeded in improving student learning outcomes, especially in mathematics. The findings of this study are expected to be useful in improving the quality of education with the RME approach in schools, especially mathematics.

Abstract

Balikpapan Botanical Garden School has a very supportive learning environment, especially in studying plant material, but there are still many students who show low interest in learning so that an application in the form of android application to foster student interest in learning related to plants. This research aims to determine the feasibility of the botanical application as the further development of a flash application with the same theme to enhance interest in learning plant material. This research is used Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE model which includes the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stage. The data were collected using a questionnaire to measure students’ learning referring to Mitchell's theory with 25 questions. The result showed that the botanical application is feasible to use with a score of 3,86 (feasible) and 4,16 (very feasible) according to media and material experts, and also a score of 4,47 (very feasible) according to the students. It also can enhance interest in learning plant material at the significance level of 0.002<0.05 with 46,6% of students reach the high criterion and the other 53,3% reach the moderate criterion of interest. This android-based of botanical application turns out to be able to enhance interest in learning about plant material due to learners' option to choose learning content depending on their interest.

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu kecamatan yang berada di kabupaten Malang, Ngantang memiliki prospek yang bagus dalam berbagai bidang, yaitu wisata yang beraneka ragam, budaya yang unik, sumber daya alam yang melimpah dan sumber daya manusia. Keberadaan wilayah yang demikian dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pemacu dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya pemacu dalam mewujudkan pembelajaran yang kontekstual. Konsep pendidikan yang melibatkan keadaan wilayah setempat, akan menumbuhkan kecintaan peserta didik terhadap wilayahnya, sehingga dalam jangka waktu ke depan, peserta didik dapat memiliki rasa memiliki dan mengayomi dalam mengelola lingkungannya, meningkatkan soft skill serta succes skill dalam pengelolaan prospek wilayah. Pendidikan tersebut harus dimulai sejak dini, bahkan SD. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator bagi peserta didik perlu mengintegrasikan pembelajaran kontekstual dalam pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran. Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan, kebanyakan guru di Kecamatan ngantang masih kesulitan dalam pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran. Fakta tersebut juga didukung oleh Kepala UPTD Pendidikan Kecamatan ngantang yang menyatakan keluhan guru SD di kecamatan Ngantang tentang banyaknya tuntutan yang diberikan kepada guru, sehingga mereka hanya mengambil perangkat pembelajaran dari internet. Keadaan tersebut menyebabkan peserta didik tidak mengenal sumber belajar yang ada di lingkungan sekitarnya. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan sosialisasi dan pendampingan terhadap guru SD di kecamatan Ngantang, agar memiliki tambahan pengetahuan dalam penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran yang kontekstual.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mathematical writing errors of students in solving linear equations of two variables at SMP Negeri 5 Wolowaru. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with instruments in the form of description tests and interviews. The results of the study showed that from 23 students of class VIII A SMP Negeri 5 Wolowaru common mistakes that often occurred included: (1) errors at the stage of understanding the problem, where students were accustomed to writing discussions without being known and asked, because generally students were too rushed and did not understand question; (2) errors in the transformation stage, namely students will not write down mathematical models if they are not in the questions, as well as the use of formulas that are still wrong in solving problems; (3) errors in the process ability stage, where the problem solving procedures used by students still do not use the right arithmetic operations; (4) errors at the stage of writing the final answer, which is indicated by the absence of the final result and the conclusion of the answer.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of student learning motivation after attending lectures using the blended learning method with YouTube media during a COVID-19c in the mathematics education department, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya. This research was conducted because during the Covid COVID-19c there was a change in the flow of education which resulted in a decrease in motivation to study due to signal constraints, the ability to provide internet quota, and limited access. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative method with the subject of all students taking multivariable calculus courses as many as 35 students. The data collection technique uses a learning motivation questionnaire and is confirmed through interviews. The results showed that the blended learning method with YouTube media was able to increase student learning motivation and help students understand the material well, because students who felt left behind could repeat material videos and discuss together to complete the exercises and assignments given.

Abstract

Penelitian ini termasuk dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa dengan menggunakan Pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME). Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi Malang. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang merujuk pada Kemmis dan Mc Taggart dengan melalui empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan (plan), tindakan (action), pengamatan (observe), dan refleksi (reflect). Baik Siklus I ataupun II, keduanya dilaksanakan dengan masing-masing tiga pertemuan di tiap siklusnya. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rencana Pelaksanaan Perkuliahan, Lembar Kerja Siswa, Instrument tes, dan Lembar Observasi Aktivitas Mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan Teknik analisis data kualitatif dan deskriptif komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa setelah diterapkannya Pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari adanya peningkatan setiap indicator kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa dari Pretest, Siklus I, dan juga Siklus II.

Abstract

P-WEC (Petungsewu Wildlife Education Center) merupakan kawasan konservasi di Kabupaten Malang yang digunakan sebagai pusat studi untuk pendidikan informal tentang konservasi alam dan kehidupan liar (wildlife), namun pelaksanaan kegiatan Edukasi Alam yang ditawarkan masih belum optimal dikarenakan pelaksanaannya hanya dilakukan di area tertentu dan dilakukan dengan menyajikan tumbuhan secara langsung sehingga eksplorasi tidak dilakukan secara luas, maka untuk meningkatkan kegiatan tersebut dikembangkanlah P-WEC Plant Locator berbasis android dengan menerapkan konsep Digital Learning Ecosystem, yaitu dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi dan konteks pembelajaran dengan pengguna dalam suatu lingkungan, sehingga eksplorasi lokasi pohon dan tumbuhan liar yang ada di kawasan tersebut dapat dilakukan secara mandiri dengan mengakses pencarian denah lokasi tumbuhan yang ada di aplikasi P-WEC Plant Locator. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini meliputi dua tahap yaitu tahap pengembangan produk dengan model ADDIE dan tahap pendampingan penerapan produk melalui kegiatan focus group discussion (FGD). Diperoleh hasil bahwa pengembangan aplikasi P-WEC Plant Locator mampu mengoptimalkan kegiatan eksplorasi tumbuhan liar dengan memberikan peningkatan kualitas layanan dalam kegiatan Edukasi Alam yang ditawarkan kepada pengunjung Kawasan konservasi P-WEC, dimana pengunjung dapat mengakses aplikasi ini melalui android masing-masing dan dapat melakukan eksplorasi secara menyeluruh untuk meningkatkan pengalaman belajarnya secara mandiri.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran di alam mampu memberikan beberapa keunggulan bagi peserta didik, dimana kegiatan belajar yang dilakukan di luar kelas seperti di halaman sekolah, taman, hutan, dan lain sebagainya mampu mengembangkan tidak hanya aspek kognitif namun juga aspek sosial, emosional dan moral peserta didik, sehingga perlu adanya media yang dapat membantu proses pembelajaran peserta didik diluar kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan media interaktif Forest Math mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar pada materi bangun ruang tingkat SMP/ MTs. Penelitian ini merupakan Quasi Eksperimen menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design, populasinya adalah 25 siswa kelas VIII di MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang khususnya pada materi Bangun Ruang Matematika untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar melalui pengukuran skor N-Gain menggunakan angket dan lembar tes. Penerapan media ini juga mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa dengan hasil dari perhitungan N-Gain adalah 0,36 dengan kategori sedang, dengan persentase peningkatan motivasi siswa pada saat pretest dan postest adalah sebesar dari 32,5%, sedangkan pada hasil belajar menunjukan hasil 0,45 dengan persentase peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada saat pretest dan postest adalah sebesar dari 47,8%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkannya media interaktif Forest Math pada saat pembelajaran bangun ruang Matematika.Abstract: Learning in nature is able to provide several advantages for students, where learning activities carried out outside the classroom such as in school yards, parks, forests, and so on are able to develop not only cognitive aspects but also social, emotional and moral aspects of students, so there is a need for media that can help the learning process of students outside the classroom. The aim of this research was to find out how the application of interactive media Forest Math can increase motivation and learning outcomes in SMP/MTs spatial building material. This research used Quasi Experiment of one group pretest-posttest design, the population was 25 students of VIII grade at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang, especially on the Mathematics Space Building material to determine its effect on motivation and learning outcomes through measuring N-Gain scores using questionnaires and test sheets. The application of this media was also able to increase student motivation and learning outcomes with the results of the N-Gain calculation being 0.36 in the medium category, with the percentage increase in student motivation during the pretest and posttest being 32.5%, while the learning outcomes show results 0.45 with a percentage increase in student learning outcomes during the pretest and posttest of 47.8%. This showed that there is an increase in student motivation and learning outcomes after implementing the interactive media Forest Math when learning Mathematics.

Abstract

The implementation of digital literacy in literacy education for students in the Elementary School Teacher Education Program at Tribhuwana Tungga Dewi University. The methodology used in this research is quantitative research conducted at the Elementary School Teacher Education Program at Tribhuwana Tungga Dewi University in the even semester of the academic year 2022/2023. The results indicate that the Elementary School Teacher Education Program students have digital literacy skills with a score of 50% for digital access, categorized as sufficient, and a score of 75% for digital literacy competence, categorized as good. Furthermore, the results show that technology usage scored 45% with a sufficient category, while online access scored 70% with a good category. For digital literacy competence, the information and communication aspect scored well, while content creation scored sufficient. In conclusion, this research indicates that technology access plays an important role in enhancing digital literacy among Elementary School Teacher Education Program students at Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University.

Abstract

This study aims to describe artificial intelligence (AI) and education in the era of society 5.0. This research is a descriptive-qualitative research with a method in the form of journal meta-analysis by complementing and comparing previous information through literature review using data from 22 journal articles to be collected then further studied and analyzed related to the results of their findings and draw a conclusion. This study examines about: (1) artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of education; (2) the role and position of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of education; (3) the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of education; and (4) artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of education to face the era of Society 5.0., which is to overcome the challenges and problems of the times quickly. AI has the advantage of being able to quickly create and score content, automate tasks in education, but it also has the disadvantage of having risks in handling privacy issues, algorithmic bias, and transparency controls. AI itself cannot replace the position of teachers because it cannot monitor student development significantly, how character morally and emotionally, so it would be better if AI is used as a tool that can help teachers do learning and also an emotional approach in building student character to face the era of Society 5.0.
