Abstract

This study aims to examine the school's efforts in introducing and preserving Kasab in West Aceh through art education and community collaboration. Kasab is gold thread embroidery on velvet cloth which is widely used in Acehnese weddings as a cultural product. Kasab was introduced to art education at the West Aceh High School through arts and culture subjects. This study used a qualitative approach. The research was conducted in five high schools in West Aceh District, Indonesia. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews with students, teachers who teach arts and culture, and Kasab craftsmen. In addition, observations were also conducted to observe the collaborative learning process of the community and teachers, as well as literature studies on community collaboration and art education in the field of crafts. The results of the study show that collaborative art education in schools and communities regarding the introduction and process of making Kasab crafts is taught in the fine arts course, which begins with making decorative motifs. Next, the Kasab crafts were embroidered with gold thread. Students and teachers performed field studies at the Kasab craftsmen's place to observe the process of making Kasab. Later on, the students practice making Kasab at school, guided by the teacher and Kasab craftsmen. This activity is very important to be performed in every high school as an effort to preserve the Kasab craft in the West Aceh district.

Abstract

Music learning at SMAN 1 Kabupaten Tangerang has long been constrained by the limited availability of musical instruments, requiring teachers to adopt digital technology to sustain instructional quality. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the BandLab application in enhancing music teachers’ creativity and its contributions to overall learning quality. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the music teacher and tenth-grade students. The findings reveal that BandLab effectively addresses the scarcity of physical instruments through its virtual instruments, multi-track recording, and collaboration workspace features. The use of this application enhances teachers’ ability to design creative instruction, diversify teaching strategies, and produce innovative digital learning materials. BandLab integration also improves student participation, motivation, and musical competence through digital exploration of rhythm, melody, and harmony. Thus, BandLab is proven effective in enhancing teacher creativity and the quality of music learning in the context of secondary education.

Abstract

Perkembangan kecerdasan buatan (artificial intelligence/AI) telah membawa perubahan signifikan di berbagai sektor, termasuk industri dan pendidikan kecantikan. Salah satu inovasi yang berkembang adalah teknologi AI Skin Functional yang memungkinkan analisis kulit wajah secara otomatis dan real-time. Namun, keberhasilan implementasi teknologi ini dalam pendidikan vokasi kecantikan sangat dipengaruhi oleh persepsi pengguna, khususnya mahasiswa sebagai calon praktisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi persepsi mahasiswa program studi kecantikan terhadap penerapan teknologi AI Skin Functional dalam analisis kulit wajah berdasarkan Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif cross-sectional. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstruktur yang mengukur perceived ease of use (PEOU) dan perceived usefulness (PU), kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki persepsi positif terhadap kemudahan penggunaan dan manfaat teknologi AI Skin Functional. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa teknologi analisis kulit berbasis AI berpotensi besar untuk diintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum pendidikan kecantikan guna mendukung transformasi digital industri kecantikan.
